Reflections From a Murky Pond

Sometimes beauty is covered and thought to be hidden away from uncouth, unwanted, and strange eyes. This rarely works, for beauty will out and is much more often about how it is displayed rather than how much of it is so.

On the downside, this tends to lead repressive cultures such as the Muslim World to enact even more stringent restrictions upon how women are allowed to dress. Saudi Arabia taking this to the logically correct – look at the images above! – but vile conclusion that even a woman’s eyes must be covered if they are deemed to be tempting.

On the upside, with war with various nations in the Mid-East – especially Iran – becoming more and more likely, there’s the benefit of Arab and Persian war brides. And yes, this is not only a benefit or upside, it’s the only truly good – evolutionarily speaking – reason for a foreign war.

Patrick “Pat” Condell is an Irish-born but British-raised writer, comedian and Atheist internet personality. He’s also one of the few Atheists who I have some respect for because he’s one of the few who will speak against Islam too, as opposed to the more normal Atheist behavior of only attacking Christianity.

In this instance, Mr. Condell pulls no punches in his condemnation of the Liberals’ and Progressives’ rank hypocrisy over Gaza, Hamas, and Israel.

Mr. Condell perfectly summed up the hypocrisy and rabid antisemitism of the Liberals and Progressives, once again insuring that he’ll be the only Atheist that they turn against.

He did something even more important though. He tacitly prescribed a cure for these filth. As the Liberals and Progressives are only willing to voice their hypocrisy and selective moralizing from a suitable safe distance, it behooves we, the People to remove that distance and safety from them. The Liberals and Progressives will be silent as soon as they’re shown by the American people that being otherwise is no longer safe for them or their kin.

As there Arab Spring inevitably turns into the Islamist Winter it’s interesting to see the specifics of the fallout from Obama’s recent illegal war in Libya.

Fortunately for Obama, the lamestream media won’t mention it and, even if they did, his core base “knows what hoes are for” and won’t be particularly bothered by this. 😉

One has to always remember that Islam isn’t a religion; it’s a din, a way of life. It includes religious, political, economic, and cultural controls so as to totally bind and shape its adherents’ societies. This, as a matter of course, includes music.

Hence all Muslim music must fit within the cultural component of Islam and adhere to the basic mores and manners (Adab) espoused therein. Above we can see a faithful Muslim street musician doing just that. 😆

And we Americans thought that Rap “music” was bad! 😆
