It is not the business of government to make men virtuous or religious, or to preserve the fool from the consequences of his own folly. Government should be repressive no further than is necessary to secure liberty by protecting the equal rights of each from aggression on the part of others, and the moment governmental prohibitions extend beyond this line they are in danger of defeating the very ends they are intended to serve.

Communists Democrats today are kind of like that, especially the Millennial and Gen Z ones. They really get butthurt when they realize that the economic system they based the ideology upon actually forces people to work. 😉
This is especially ironic today because Labor Day was an American, softer, capitalist alternative to the Communists’ & Socialists’ International Workers Day, a holiday that they sound like they really favor.

Let me guess, like the rat in this cartoon, you’ve repurposed any exercise equipment you’ve purchased and moved on to less strenuous pursuits – like Netflix, Gaming, and the consumption of “comfort foods.” 😉 Hell! You probably did that months ago, but I didn’t bother chiding anyone about it in early February like I normally do because adjustments in expectations had to be made due to the economic, societal, and psychological malaise brought on by the panicdemic.
With All That’s Gone On, Inspiration Is Hard To Find
I do get it. With the extended lock-downs and closures of gyms across America, combined with many people’s lingering terror of being around other people, it’s been hard to find inspiration to get and/or keep fit. It’s not like we get the positive reinforcement of seeing fine fitness babes anymore.
But, it’s not all doom and gloom. The lack of motivation to exercise combined with the dramatic increase in home culinary practices has ushered in a new era in which hard is less “in” and soft is more so than it had been previously.

If it was so destructive to our nation, the Millennials’ dreams of Socialism and enforced equality of result – along with a total lack of discernment in any matter except where and when said discernment can be used to further a meritless egalitarian State – would be utterly and completely hilarious due to these Millennials complete lack of self-awareness and/or rank hypocrisy.
Truly! Seeing, hearing, and/or reading of these younger “Latte Liberals” decrying capitalism, America culture, and their own race while bedecked in- and festooned with so many iconic trappings of capitalism and American-style consumerism just makes a person want to laugh. It’s almost as if they don’t know that so very much of their accoutrements are made by “Brown” and “Yellow” people who are working for wages and in conditions that are by normative Western standards quasi-slave labor…but hey! The companies say the right things and donate to leftist causes…

If you’re like many Americans, you made a News Years resolution to improve your fitness and to work out or otherwise exercise more in 2018 than you had previously. Rather than waiting till the middle of February to provide you with some motivation to help you keep at it, I’ve decided to be proactive this year.

If you’re like many Americans, you made a News Years resolution to improve your fitness and to work out or otherwise exercise more in 2014 than you had previously. It’s now February 1st, however, and if you’re once again like many Americans, you’re beginning to falter and flag in your commitment to maintain that fitness regimen.
What you need is inspiration and Reflections From A Murky Pond is here to help you with that. 😉
21 Ways To be Inspired
Given the choices available, it should be hard for each and everyone of us who’s committed to increased exercise but whose will is faltering to find the inspiration to keep going.
