Reflections From a Murky Pond

Sunday, May 3, 2015 was the inaugural Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest was held in Garland, TX. Of course, Muslim vermin showed up to murder people in response to this supposed outrage against their Pedophile Prophet.

Thanks to an American putting down the two vermin, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, there was a late entry to the Draw Muhammad competition. It was the clear winner. Then, when it comes to art featuring Muslims, you can’t easily beat chalk on pavement. 😉

Hehe…Both of the ragheaded, jihadi apes have kin in the general area. Maybe some American artists can turn this into a series.

The role and extent of government has been a matter of contention since Man first developed government. Nowhere is this more true than the ongoing war over what, if any, harm any government should allow to happen to the People.

Even the philosopher Hugo Adam Bedau, a current favorite among limited government and social liberal circles doesn’t provide much surcease from the argument.

Government should allow persons to engage in whatever conduct they want to, no matter how deviant or abnormal it may be, so long as:

1. they know what they are doing,
2. they consent to it, and
3. no one — at least no one other than the participants — is harmed by it.

Sure, Bedau’s words sound good and is if they’d make a good framework for the limits of government involvement and interference with the lives and actions of the governed.  Sadly, however Bedau’s words beg the questions of what is the proof of knowledge aforethought and what constitutes consent.

His words also, much like the Wiccan Rede – An it harm none, do as you will – leave the glaring and easily warred over questions of what’s the harm and, much like claims of offensiveness,  just who gets to decide that harm has been done in the first place.

No, not even Bedau’s simple prescription will ameliorate the conflict over just what the government should be allowed to regulate or proscribe.

It is easy to think of the evils of America’s domestic enemies, the Liberal, Progressives, and their minority tenants, to be solely or primarily assaults upon American citizens’ natural right to individual liberty. Yet, while they do repeatedly attack some our our Divinely ordained individual rights, mostly those that could be disruptive, e.g., those of defense and speech, these Leftist enemies far more often attack American communities and various and sundry collective endeavors. This is because our domestic enemies are devoutly loyal and faithful to their own collective, the State.

For this reason the Liberal and Progressives are not opposed to individual liberty because most individual liberties, far from being the effect of emancipation from the power of the State, are, in point of fact, a key precondition of the State’s power. In the twisted minds of the Left the State must be the penultimate, preferably only, collective agency. They seek a collective tyranny with the state operating in a tyrannical manner to quash any other collective associations.

They do not sek to wage war against the individual; they wage their war against those non-coercive, intermediate institutions which claim the individual’s allegiance: the family, the church, the school, business, and so on and so forth. The Liberals and Progressives demand that an individual be wedded exclusively to the State as an exclusive community, and offer him a certain limited range of freedom in exchange. It is not individual liberty that these would-be tyrannts oppose, but competitors to their authority that they find utterly unacceptable. They do not mind individual freedom; they only mind competitors to the allegiance they require of men. They are willing to give men a long leash, so as long as they and they alone are grasping the other end.

In other words, despite State not being a community, our domestic enemies demand that the State be the only community that is allowed. They know that when people’s lives, hopes, and aspirations are severed from family, church, and vocation, they are an easy prey for the State.

Tread Hard Upon Liberty & Freedom!

Feminists aren’t particularly associated with honesty. Much like discernment, honesty has never been a core value of feminism. That being said, some small number of the Toxic Wave Feminists are forthright and completely honest.

Remember this in the swiftly approaching 2014 midterm elections. The harridans of Feminism, unable to move their agenda forward any other way, desire to trample and tread upon every single Americans’ individual freedoms and liberties so that they can benefit from State-enforce equality of results and their own personal freedom from any negative consequences of their own choices.

Time passes but rarely truly changes. Peoples and nations plod head down and with heavy, stenorous tread through the well-worn ruts of history, marching like blank-faced automata through the pageant of birth, rise, stagnation, tyranny, and fall.

In The Trade Of Liberty Tools Do Not Change Much

Certainly, America has it players for the parts of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette in the persons of Barack and Michelle Obama. So too do we have a clergy, in the form of the intelligentsia, preaching the Divine Right of our would-be king and that of their aristocracy.

It then devolves to the American people to play the part of the Girondins or, needs must when the Devil drives, the Jacobins, for are we not already a society of the friends of the Constitution? Because, be it through means of Brissot or of Robespierre, something must be done to save America from the fast-approaching tyranny.
