Obama Is That Guy

Periodically Obama whines about Fox News and the other Newscorp outlets. Beyond annoying, it also has a familiar right to it that Greg Gutfeld finally made clear.

Obama Whining About Fox
Obama Is That Guy

Obama really is metaphorically that football player whining about the only cheerleader that won’t sleep with him. You know, the same one that later claims that “she wanted it,” after he rapes her…

Subsidized Smut

Just another crackhead nigger begging for moneyThere’s always a reason why poor people are poor and often, though not nearly always, that reason is that the people in question make poor choices and have priorities that prevent them from ever being anything better then parasites on society as a whole.

Even when they’re given largess from the public’s coffers in the form of welfare and food stamps via EBT in order for them to feed themselves, they seem to have different priorities for its use.

It seems some number of them prefer to spend the money that government took from Americans and gave to them as a hand-out on: liquor, pornography, hookah use, and strippers.

They’re on the dole — and watching the pole.

Welfare recipients took out cash at bars, liquor stores, X-rated video shops, hookah parlors and even strip clubs — where they presumably spent their taxpayer money on lap dances rather than diapers, a Post investigation found.

A database of 200 million Electronic Benefit Transfer records from January 2011 to July 2012, obtained by The Post through a Freedom of Information request, showed welfare recipients using their EBT cards to make dozens of cash withdrawals at ATMs inside Hank’s Saloon in Brooklyn; the Blue Door Video porn shop in the East Village; The Anchor, a sleek SoHo lounge; the Patriot Saloon in TriBeCa; and Drinks Galore, a liquor distributor in The Bronx.

The state Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), which oversees the “cash assistance program,” even lists some of these welfare-ready ATMs on its Web site.

One EBT machine is stationed inside Club Eleven, an infamous Hunts Point jiggle joint known as much for its violent history as its girls in pink thongs.

NOTE: Before I go any further I must say that Fox News’ article has one huge and glaring flaw, most likely of deliberate origin. There are NO EBT MACHINES! EBT cards work in any ATM, which are what is installed in the locations mentioned. OK, technically they just reprinted an excerpt from an NY Post article but, especially considering the nature of their sister company, that’s no real excuse for either poor fact-checking or willfully ignoring errors.

By way of probably long overdue full disclosure, since it hasn’t mattered in close to two years, I worked for a Newscorp business as a senior technical executive (ISO) for 5 long years.

I know the people all the way to the top and I know what the companies’ real goals are and they’re not political in the least.

I like the various Newscorp businesses for what they are – a lone counterweight to the Leftists’ MSM complex. I can’t and don’t try to delude myself about their own agenda and methodology though, and I don’t see where anyone else should either.

~*~

Still…Strip Clubs? These grifters and failures prefer to use hands-outs meant for their food, housing, utilities, and sundry household necessities to watch some slut jiggle and show off the sum total of her worth as an animal? Tell me again why we’re keeping these creatures alive.

Now Accepting Other People’s Money
(Card Swipe Available For Extra Fee)

I could almost understand the occasional splurge on a six-pack, a bottle of spirits, or nice bowl out of hookah, or a civilized drink or two at a bar. People do need to maintain some semblance of normalcy and pleasure irrespective of their poverty; that’s part of the aim of these welfare programs. But strippers?!?

As an interesting side-note, the NYC Green Markets accept EBT but ONLY issue coupons that are only good at the green market. They even add extra, in the form of $2 extra for every $5 spent.

Many would say that the welfare system is flawed and that this is proof of it. To be fair though, the federal government did recognize this problem and the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, which Obama actually signed into law, included provisions that requires states to prohibit sinful welfare spending by 2014. If they don’t, they’ll forfeit federal cash. Yet those state legislatures which are controlled by Liberals, including New York’s, don’t seem to believe that they need to address this because doing so would “hurt the poor.

For myself, I wouldn’t say that the system is flawed and I have no idea how to stop this sinful spending of other people’s money without returning to old voucher system which was determined to be both needlessly and prohibitively expense to run. In other words, what they’re losing in misuse is probably less than they were losing in overhead before.

What I would say is that entire concept is flawed. Clinton, under American pressure in his 2nd term, reformed Welfare to some extent but we’ve never gone far enough. We’re still keeping habitual parasites and failure alive instead of implementing caps and cut-offs to limit how long they can live at our expense.

Then again, since only very recent dates were mentioned, it may just come down to who are the new poor and who’s been now allowed these entitlements. That would point to a systemic failure but not to a failure of the specific system delivery largess to the our society’s dregs and temporarily – we hope but do not count on with Obama’s reelection – impoverished.

The Irony Of Williams

Juan WilliamsThe Emmy Award winning Liberal pundit and political commentator Juan Williams has recently run afoul of the ideologically based de facto censorship practiced by the Left-Wing radio outlet, National Public Radio (NPR).

The Soros-backed, quasi-Socialist NPR ousted Williams, not over anything he said on one of their productions, but over his honest commentary while being interviewed by Fox’s Bill O’Reilly.

NPR announced Wednesday night, October 20, 2010 that they were firing Williams for his comments, adding they were “were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.”

Political correctness can lead to some kind of paralysis where you don’t address reality. I mean, look Bill, I’m not a bigot, you know the kind of books I’ve written on the civil rights movement in this country, but when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.

Now, I remember also that when the Times Square bomber was at court, I think this was just last week. He said the war with Muslims, America’s war is just beginning, first drop of blood. I don’t think there’s any way to get away from these facts. But I think there are people who want to somehow remind us all as President Bush did after 9/11, it’s not a war against Islam.

NPR’s CEO Vivian Schiller added that NPR reporters and analysts should not be expressing controversial viewpoints, and that Williams’ views on Muslims should be “between him and his psychiatrist or his publicist.”

Schiller is obviously a typical piece of Liberal filth. She believes that caution when dealing with people who visibly identify as or with inimical groups or ideologies must stem from psychosis or greed.

She was in a bad spot though; Williams is a Panamanian-born “Blatino” and, therefor Schiller couldn’t call him a racist as she would would have likely done were he a White, and she couldn’t very well call him ignorant given his decades of experience, background, and previous usefulness to NPR. Hence, she had to fall back on mental illness or venality.

There’s, however, more than a little irony in this situation and in Juan Williams’ comments. Williams very much identifies as Black and has a long history of chronicling the American Civil Rights movement, having written seven books on the subject between 1988 and 2007 and has been referenced and/or cited in many others. He’s probably had some amount of direct experience and great deal of vicarious experience with people’s fear and/or concern when seeing Blacks who identify “first and foremost” as something other than American.

When We See Them We Get worried. We Get Nervous

I have to wonder if Williams sees the similarities between Whites’ honest concerns over Blacks who dress and comport themselves in an exilic and/or negative manner and his own honest concern over Muslims who do the same. I wonder if he acknowledges the resulting irony of his statement. I’d like to think that he does.

Fox Up Front

Fox News will be moving to the front row of reporters in the White House briefing room. They’ll be taking over the seat vacated by AP who will be taking over the seat the forced retirement of the anti-Semite Helen Thomas emptied.

White House Briefing Room
Press Corps In White House Briefing Room

Many will be tempted to ask if this indicates a thawing of the “relationship” between President Obama and Fox News. Others will choose to see it as President Obama capitulating to Fox News. They would all be wrong since the Obama Regime has little or nothing to do with Fox’s being granted a prime front row seat in the briefing room.

The decision of how the seating would be rearranged in the wake of Helen Thomas’ unlamented departure was solely in the hands of the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA), an organization represents the White House press corps in its dealings with the administration on coverage-related issues and which is made up of reporters and journalists, not necessarily White House flunkies.

The WHCA has a nine-member board of directors, elected annually by correspondents, which addresses access to the POTUS;  press coverage arrangements; reporters’ work space arrangements; logistics and costs for press travel to accompany a president while on the road.

WHCA Officers 2010-2011

  • President: David Jackson, USA TODAY
  • Vice President: Caren Bohan, Reuters
  • Secretary: Steve Scully, C-SPAN
  • Treasurer: Doug Mills, New York Times

WHCA Board Members 2010-2011

  • Carol Lee, Politico
  • Michael Scherer, Time Magazine
  • Julie Mason, DC Examiner
  • Don Gonyea, NPR
  • Ed Henry, CNN

It was the decision of those nine members of WHCA’s Board of Directors to move Fox News to the front row, not that of anyone directly associated with the Obama Regime.

The board of the White House Correspondents Association has agreed, by consensus, to move the Associated Press to the front row, center seat in the James S. Brady Briefing Room.

The board further agreed to move Fox News to the front row seat previously occupied by AP, and relocate NPR into the second row seat previously held by Fox, next to Bloomberg News.

It was a very difficult decision. The board received requests from Bloomberg and NPR in addition to Fox for relocation to the front row and felt all three made compelling cases. But the board ultimately was persuaded by Fox’s length of service and commitment to the White House television pool.

Fox News being moved to the front row of the briefing room might be construed as slap in President Obama’s face and loss in his war against unsympathetic press coverage. If it is such, however, it is likely just a delayed punishment for President Obama’s failed attempt last October to ban Fox News from the White House press “pool” entirely, an attempt that somewhat surprisingly the WHCA refused to allow to succeed.

On the other – and I think more likely – hand, it could just be that the WHCA actually has some basic standards for such things and could maintain the respect of their membership if they sat those standards aside to Fox’s detriment – even if they might otherwise have wanted to do so.

Fox: Most Trusted News

Fox News ChannelFox is the most trusted television news network in America according to poll results released by Public Policy Polling on January 26, 2010. That has to stick in the craws of the Liberals, though not nearly so much as Fox’s ratings and revenue sticks in the craw of the other media outlets.

But don’t expect to hear much about these poll results from any MSM source, including News Corp.

The other media firms certainly aren’t going to talk about this. Fox News strongly outperformed all of them. That, in combination with the White House’s attacks on Fox’s credibility, make it’s very unlikely that they’re going to say anything about their being less trusted as a news sources than their powerhouse rival.

The Liberals sure as Hell aren’t going to talk about this. They can’t even spin it into being the partisan results of a Right-biased poll because Public Policy Polling is a Democratic Party machine with almost entirely Liberal clients. If the results of the poll are skewed – which is not  in any way not proven or even posited – it is unlikely that they’d be skewed in Fox News’ favor. 😯

Public Policy Polling is the group that included the question, “Do you think President Obama is the Antichrist” in a poll about support for ObamaCare. Need anyone say more about their bias?

News Corp certainly isn’t going to boast about being the most trusted source of news in America because, while Fox News might have been the most trusted of the the news outlets in the poll, it still wasn’t shown to be particularly trusted by people in America.  Truly, Fox’s numbers are not worth bragging about.

The Overall Scores

The overall Trust, Distrust, and Not Sure response percentages to Fox, CNN, NBC, CBS, and ABC from the 1,151 registered voters polled on January 18th and 19th, 2010.

Trust Distrust Not Sure
FOX 49% 37% 15%
CNN 39% 41% 20%
NBC 35% 44% 20%
CBS 32% 46% 22%
ABC 31% 46% 22%

So Fox News is definitively the most trusted media outlet for news, with a solid 10% lead over its nearest competitor, CNN. It is also the only MSM outlet for news who was more trusted than it was distrusted (49% : 37%) by respondents to the poll.

But only slightly less than half of the respondents said that they trusted Fox as a source of news! Being the best of a bad breed is still being part of that bad breed.

No, don’t expect to hear much about these poll results from any MSM source, including News Corp.
