Reflections From a Murky Pond

I’m told by people who use Reddit for this sort of thing that this is, in fact, how it works. So, live within reality, not your fantasy world where altruism trumps self-aggrandizement. Work within the system and be successful. Almost nobody has ever denied the system and ended up successful. Even those that seemed to have done so have, in actuality, gamed the existing system to garner success, thereby changing that system.

The sorts of titular adults who believe that Biden was properly elected and that he is functional as the POTUS and ostensible Leader of the Free World need to not be condescending towards children who believe in various fairy tales and mythical beings. 😉

It is a bit of a quandary. Was Pelosi being delusional or disingenuous when she exclaimed, “How could this be?” over the price of a gallon of gasoline in her state of California where in some locales it has reached $6.00 a gallon.

Given that she then immediately ordered that we don’t solve for this economic disaster by increasing our domestic production of petroleum – the ONLY way to fix this immediate problem – I’d say it’s a combination of both. She was disingenuous in her shock and outrage over fuel prices, and she was delusional in believing that anyone other than the financial elite urbanites would agree with her prohibition on extended domestic drilling.

It’s odd that both Elon Musk and Akio Toyoda have been the ones that spoke the truth about converting the world’s fleet of automobiles to Electric Vehicles (EVs). Yet, it’s unsurprising that, aside from a short “news” cycle of outrage and derision from the Green Left, what they said has been ignored by these same delusional climatards and their media outlets.

As there are none so blind as those who will not see, so too are there none so deaf as those who will not hear. And that sums up what passes for the mentality of these sorts. Their delusion is reinforced by the dogma and is not subject to interventions by facts that contradict their visions of the future they want to enact up the world.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, says a lot of stupid stuff, much of which seems to be borderline insane, indicative as it is of a deep-seated paranoia and persecution complex. But acognition and madness aren’t a valid excuse for anything. There are some false claims, be they lies or delusions, that aren’t going to be tolerated. They are too far beyond the pale and too easily refuted with the truth by any who care to do so.

In this case, it’s AOC’s stolen cowardice video, wherein she claimed that she was hiding in the closet of her office while the Capitol protesters hunted for her.

Of course, AOC wasn’t even in the Capitol Building during the incursion. She was across the Capitol campus, in the Cannon Building.

Ah well. Not much to do about this. As we all know, AOC’s mouth is only used for two things: spewing crazy, paranoid, bullshit, and performing the “services” that keep her in office. 😉
