Reflections From a Murky Pond

It’s now been a decade since America was attacked and violated on 9-11-01 by Muslim Terrorists. For ten years we’ve defended ourselves against the Jihad and brought death and destruction to our savage foreign enemies and their cultists insinuated within our borders.

But it’s also been ten long and painful years during which Americans have had to defend themselves over the objections and efforts of those forces within our country who hate the land they’re allowed to live in so virulently that they sided with and continue to side with and lend aid and comfort to America’s Muslim foes.

It is America’s domestic enemies that pose the greatest threat to our nation and out children’s future. Creatures like George Lakoff and his wife are the real, clear and present danger to America and its long past time for Americans to treat them as such, with all that such treatment implies.

My wife, Kathleen, and I stood gaping at the TV as we watched the towers fall. Kathleen said to me, “Do you realize what Bush and Cheney are going to do with this?” We both realized very well.

That’s right; by Mr. Lakoff’s own admission, he and wife Kathleen Frumkin Lakoff’s immediate thoughts as they watched the terrorists destroy the World Trade Center was based upon hatred of President Bush and Vice President Cheney. What the Muslim Terrorists had just done and the deaths they had just caused was a distant secondary concern – if that, considering the Leftists’ views of the Americans who worked at the WTC.

This is what each and every American faces, the horrific fact that we’ve allowed our domestic enemies to live, prosper, and continue their clandestine war against our country from within.

It’s past time for we, the People to understand that and to understand that bullets in the heads of creatures like George Lakoff and Kathleen Frumkin will do more to secure our nation than any number of Hellfire missiles fired into Islamists’ camps half a world away, not but what we must continue to hammer the Islamists wherever they’re nesting.

Does that mean the Lakoffs should be killed? Personally, I don’t know; I haven’t yet had time to study the level of actual threat that they pose and such violence should be a considered response.

The real war for America’s future is here and it’s one that the people, not the government and the military must wage. We just have to remember two related facts: victory through force of arms is the lowest form of victory, and it’s foolish to not take the victory that you can get just because it’s not the one you wanted.

Allegedly the Obama Regime planned and launched a military operation that killed the jihadi vermin, Osama bin Laden – or at least that is what Obama announced last night and what a large number of Americans believe.

Yet, due to a variety of reasons, a have some serious doubts as to the veracity of this claim.

Does it really matter though?

Whether it’s true and we’ve just exterminated Osama bin Laden or it’s false and Obama is perpetrating another lie, it’s highly unlikely that Osama bin Laden is still alive at this time.

Either way, most Americans and many people in the rest of the world believe that a US Special Forces “kill team” exterminated him on Sunday. This will have certain effects, some good and some less so depending upon your ideology:

1. Americans are happy with this thought. Our forces killing Osama bin Laden give them orders of magnitude more closure and joy than his dying of kidney failure or having been assassinated in an Al-Qaeda power struggle would. Sometimes “at least he’s dead” just isn’t enough.
2. A lot of people across the world are going to have a better chance of understanding that, if they harm Americans, we will get to them and kill them no matter how long it takes. We won’t stop until they’re dead. That’s nothing other than a good thing in this day and age.
3. True or false, claiming the kill for Osama bin Laden at this time gives the US a “Victory Condition” that Obama can exploit to pull all or most of our forces out of Afghanistan.
4. Whether the facts as presented by Obama’s people are fully accurate, they’re partially false and he cynically manipulated the date of Osama bin Laden’s extermination for political gain, or this whole thing is a well constructed lie, the fact remains that Obama’s going to get a huge surge in popularity over this.

This is one of those cases where perception is more important than reality. Does it really matter if we just exterminated Osama bin Laden as long as a large enough majority of people believe that we did and it’s not in anyone with the power to act’s vested interests to prove it false?

For a long time America reveled in a halcyon dream in which we felt safe and sheltered from much of the evil that stalked the Earth.

But we forgot that those halcyon days whose image we clung to were always only a brief respite between the storms of the lasting winter of discontent, strife, and savagery.

Then we were brutally awakened on the morning of September 11, 2001.

Now we must put aside our love of those stolen dreams and live and fight in the waking world. When the work is done and all our enemies and those who would support or avenge them lay dead and unmourned it will be time for rest, sleep, and dreaming.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his co-conspirator, Sharif El-Gamal aren’t satisfied with forcing the insult of Park 51 nee Cordoba House, aka the Ground Zero Mosque, upon New York and America at large; now they demand that the American taxpayers help fund what the vast majority consider an abomination.

The insults to America just keep spewing from these “moderate” Muslims.

Most Americans are firmly against any Muslim showpiece edifice being constructed anywhere near Ground Zero but admit that it would be wrong to use the law to prevent these Muslims from building it. Rather than take this to heart and be grateful for the unearned tolerance that Americans are willing to show the brothers and sisters of our enemies, these creatures want Americans to pay for the “privilege” of their insults and gloating mockery.

Developers of the controversial Park51 Islamic community center and mosque located two blocks from ground zero earlier this month applied for roughly $5 million in federal grant money set aside for the redevelopment of lower Manhattan after the attacks of September 11, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the matter.

The application was submitted under a “community and cultural enhancement” grant program administered by the Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Corporation (LMDC), which oversaw the $20 billion in federal aid allocated in the wake of 9/11 and is currently doling out millions in remaining taxpayer funds for community development. The redevelopment board declined to comment on the application (as did officials from Park51), citing the continuing and confidential process of determining the grant winners.

While news of the application has not previously been made public, developer Sharif El-Gamal outlined it in closed-door meetings, according to two individuals he spoke with directly.

Both Muslims and their dhimmi apologists will stridently claim that applying for a federal grant is not demanding $5 million from the American people. This is nothing, of course, but another example of taqiyyah, the Islamic practice of lying to unbelievers.

Be assured that, if they’re denied their “request” they, with the always eager aid of the Muslim Brotherhood’s front group in the US, CAIR, will launch a paper jihad in the courts, tying up the available grant funding and shutting down the entirety of the Lower Manhattan Community and Cultural Enhancement Program until they get the $5 million plus whatever “damages” they could manage to extort through New York’s uber-Liberal civil courts system.

Gods above and below! Given his track record, Obama would probably have his boy, Attorney General Holder lend them material aid and comfort in their attempt.

At a bare minimum Obama would have Holder file an amicus curiae brief on their behalf, thereby tacitly threatening federal reprisal if his preferred decision isn’t reached.

Adding insult to insult to grievous injury is all these Muslim vermin are doing. It’s the best that we can expect from the Muslims. It must always be remembered that Moderate Muslims differ from their Extremists only in methodology and personal courage. The Moderate Muslims will wage jihad against America via paper terrorism and suborning the courts system, whereas the Extremists prefer direct violence.

Jihad bi-al-Lisan and Jihad bi-al-Qalam, Jihad al-yad, and the bloody Jihad as-sayf are all the same; they’re all Jihad, the Muslim holy war to create the Khalifat for the Mahdi to rule.

The Liberals are often wont to compare Timothy McVeigh’s terrorist attack with the Muslim Terrorist attacks of 9/11. These Liberals always willfully ignore the fact that McVeigh’s Oklahoma City Bombing was purely politically motivated and the simple fact that McVeigh was a self-avowed Agnostic.

The same thing cannot be truthfully said for the jihadis of 9/11 who committed their heinous atrocities in the name of Islam.

Yet, in a strange twist of fate or an example of Divine Provenance, there is a fit comparison between Timothy McVeigh and the Muslim Terrorists and their various overt and/or tacit supporters. It is however a comparison that doesn’t manifest itself until long after the respective acts of terror.

In excerpts of letters published Sunday in his hometown newspaper, The Buffalo News, in New York state, McVeigh defended the bombing as a “legit tactic,” an act of war against what he considers an overbearing federal government.

McVeigh also revealed that at one time he considered having his ashes scattered at the Oklahoma City bombing memorial, but eventually decided against it.

“That would be too vengeful, too raw, cold. It’s not in me,” he said in a letter.

Chambers said that the final destination of McVeigh’s remains would remain privileged forever.

Timothy McVeigh, the single worst, most destructive, and unrepentant domestic terrorist that America has ever had the misfortune of producing didn’t have it in him to add insult to grievous injury by asking for his ashes to be scattered over the remains of the site of his terror attack.

Sadly, but not too shockingly, the same sense of place and restraint does not seem to present in the heart and mind of Cordoba House / Park 51’s Imam Feisal Abdul-Rauf. He does seem to “have it in him” to outrage, insult, and offend the vast majority of Americans by building a Islamic Center / Mosque a few hundred yards away from Ground Zero where thousands of Americans died at the hands of Muslim Terrorists.

And remember always that Imam Feisal is touted as a Moderate Muslim and America’s friend…

Yes, this at least seems a true and fit comparison between the Oklahoma City Bombing and the 9/11 Terror Attacks. It also points out what may be the single largest differentiator between America and the Muslim World; the very worst that America can produce is still more humane – more human – than what is considered one of the best of Islam.
