Bernie’s Tools For 2020

Bernie's Tools
Bernie’s Tools For 2020

Yes, it seems that old Bernie hasn’t learned his lesson and is considering running for POTUS again in 2020. 🙄 But hey! Bernie’s an avowed Socialist and, given how many times it’s been tried and how many times it’s failed at a great and bloody cost, it’s not too surprising that Bernie hasn’t learned his lesson.

Yeah, that’s the thing; when you’re a socialist and every problem looks like the “Aristocracy” and the Bourgeoisie, the only tools in your kit are going to be a hammer and sickle.

Bernie’s True Platform

While it certainly matters whether or not Bernie Sanders wins the Democrats’ nomination for POTUS, what matters more is his platform upon which he’s running for office.

And, when you boil it all down, this is Bernie’s true platform. The State is Mother; the State is Father; the State is God.

How could it be otherwise? Bernie’s an openly admitted Socialist and Socialism as it is enacted as opposed to it’s academic definition requires the State to have total control over every individual from cradle to grave. As it requires total control by the State over all facets of people’s lives, Socialism can’t allow any authority by family or faith unless that authority is merely a proxy for itself.

Obama: You Failed Me

Yesterday, June 19, 2015 Obama gave yet another speech, this time in Beverly Hills, CA, and he was not happy. Apparently, he’s become quite disillusioned and now believes that his constituency has failed him.

“When I ran in 2008, I in fact did not say I would fix it. I said we could fix it,” Obama told an audience of about 250 at a fundraising event here at the stately hillside home of film mogul Tyler Perry. “I didn’t say, ‘Yes, I can.’ I said, ‘Yes, we can.'”

The president continued: “If you’re dissatisfied that every few months we have a mass shooting in this country killing innocent people, then I need you to mobilize and organize a constituency that says this is not normal and we are going to change it.”

— Barack Obama

This, of course, is Obama in a nutshell. The boy hasn’t failed; instead, he’s been failed by anyone and everyone. Or, at least, that’s how Obama’s pettiness and narcissism demands that he see things.

Yet, to borrow Obama’s catchphrase, Let me be clear – he’s not entirely wrong in what he said. A POTUS has deliberately limited ability to affect change and his greatest tool, the Bully Pulpit, only works if people respond to the POTUS’ rhetoric with action…and the Liberals, Progressives, and their minority tenants by and large have repeatedly failed to do so.

The problem with Obama’s belief, attitude, and angry rhetoric is that he’s stupid to believe that his constituency would ever take action. All of them are Statists looking for the Nanny State to take care of them and/or those who they see as possessing “protected traits.” If they were cognitively, emotionally, and philosophically willing and able to take responsibility for getting done what they feel needs to be done they wouldn’t have been likely to need the State to accomplish things in the first place.

True, they elected Obama because he was a Black. Yet they still expected him to be their messiah and to get the jobs they wanted done with as little effort and sacrifice on their parts as was possible.

This again is Obama in a nutshell. The boy doesn’t expect to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear; he expects the sow to do it herself.

Will AZ Geld Obama?

az-castration-tools It looks rather more likely than not that Arizona will geld Obama or, at least emasculate his ability to harm Arizona through his barely quasi-legal Executive Orders or directive from his DoJ. Last week on March 10, 2015 Arizona’s House of Representatives voted in favor of House Bill 2368 (HB 2368), which bans the use of AZ personnel or monies to enforce, administer, or cooperate with any of them.

So, politically speaking in Arizona, it looks probable that Obama’s testicles will be tied off, wither and rot, and fall off.

Obama supporters and Statists, have quickly put up the spurious and ignorant argument that HB 2368 violates the US Constitution’s, Article VI, Clause 2 (the “Supremacy Clause”):

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding.

But even a passing knowledge of SCOTUS jurisprudence and Constitutional Law shows that Arizona’s HB 2368 in no way violates the Supremacy Clause because, supremacy or not, the SCOTUS via the “Anti-Commandeering Doctrine” set forth in their 1842 Prigg v. Pennsylvania, 1981 Hodel v. Virginia Surface Mining & Reclamation Assn., Inc., 1992 New York v. United States, and 1997 Printz v. United States decisions has unequivocally stated that the federal government cannot legally commandeer legislative processes of the States by directly compelling them to enact and enforce a federal regulatory program by demanding that those States’ governments to undertake targeted, affirmative, coercive duties.

Oh please pay special attention to Prigg v. Pennsylvania, as it stated that the federal government could not force states to implement or carry out the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793.

In other, simpler words, the Federal government cannot legally compel any of the States to spend their resources in the furtherance of any federal mandate, regulation, or even law. The Supremacy Clause ensures that the States can’t contravene federal edicts but the Anti-Commandeering Doctrine requires that the federal government enforce those edicts with federal resources instead of compelling the States to use theirs to do so.

Hence, in point of legal fact, Arizona didn’t need to limit HB 2368 to merely those edicts spawned within the Executive. The bill would be equally valid on resting upon proven, sound legal grounds if it had include legitimate federal laws enacted by Congress as well.

Now it just remains to be seen how many other states shall go reaching for their gelding knives or similar tools…

Recognizing The Threat

Liberals and Progressives love to regale Americans with tales of how the nation is becoming more and Leftist and how people want more government in their lives. Sadly for them but happily for Americans, this seems to be erroneous. The vast majority of people in America are capable of recognizing the threat that Big Government poses to the lives, livelihoods, and liberty of the People.

Government Is The Threat
72% Of American Residents See Government As Biggest Threat

72% of people in America say Big Government is a greater threat to the US in the future than is Big Business or Big Labor. This is a record high in the nearly 50-year history of this question. When Gallup first began asking the question in 1965 only 35% of Americans said “big government” would be the biggest threat to the country in the future.

Now, even a slim majority of Democrats can recognize the existential threat that the US government poses to the People. This is a significant data point since this is the first time approximately 45 years that a majority of Dems have responded in this way to the poll.

Government Is The Threat - By Party
Even 56% of Democrats See This Fact

One point of interest and difference between Americans and Liberals in this matter are that the election of Obama had little impact upon trend in responses from Americans but coincided with a sharp decline in fear of Big Government among Liberals. That decline, however, was very short-lived; it didn’t survive Obama actually being POTUS.
