Reflections From a Murky Pond

Since this meme seems to be running rampant right, it seemed appropriate to apply some fact-checking to it. Hence, “This is not a Christian Nation. It’s a nation in which you are free to be Christian” has been found to be Missing Context. It is, like much of what our domestic enemies spew, misinformation – but of the specific sort that is promulgated ,endorsed, and protected by most social media platforms.

First off, The United States of America is not and never has been officially a Christian nation, unlike Argentina, Armenia, Costa Rica, Denmark, England, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Samoa, Serbia, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vatican City, and Zambia. We are not one of the 12.3% of the world’s nations which are officially Christian. So, insofar as that goes, the statement that America is not a Christian nation is true.

Missing Context

Officially so or not, America is functionally – even in these times – a Christian nation. The nation was founded by a variety of Christians, often of sects who were experiencing genocidal persecution in Europe. And, like all Western nations, our legal system is and was based upon Judaeo-Christian religious tenets. And, finally, Christianity is the basis of the vast majority of our citizens’ theological/spiritual makeup. Even the growing number of people within our borders who have – often stridently and virulently, sometimes for very valid reasons – rejected their Church, are still essentially Christian in their beliefs.

So yeah; we’re not officially a Christian nation but we’re de facto a Christian nation since Christianity was baked into America just as it was baked into our European antecedents before our founding.

In point of fact, it would be less misleading to say that America is a Christian nation in which you are free to be non-Christian.

Easter Egg Hunting In 2022

‘Tis once again Easter. So, gentlemen, I do hope your ready, willing, and able to go egg hunting – and egg painting 😉 – today. After all, almost every single trapping and custom enjoyed during this Spring holiday is based upon Pagan fertility rites – or, neo-Pagan conceits. Either way though, Spring is the time for new life, the time for seed to sown in fertile fields.

And, for you Christians – yes, you should be celebrating the Resurrection instead of following the forms of Eostre’s rites. Yet, o scions of Noah, your God did command you in Genesis 1:26, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

So, given when in the year you celebrate your Christ’s Resurrection, now’s a good time to “get right with God.” 😆

As The Portly Politico recently pointed out, tomorrow, being Easter Sunday, many titular Christians will flock to churches across America for their twice yearly church attendance.

Of course, with so many churches in America, especially the “Liberal Churches” trying to cater to the secular biases of so many different types of people, the question is which Eastertide service will you attend.

Given what Justice Barrett had to go through and given how the Dems always side with Omar, this is a real, existential problem. Anytime some group side inside America’s borders against Christian for being Christians and side with Muslims for being Muslims, there’s a huge and dangerous question that the People need to find a final solution for.

And sorry, not sorry; the Dems can’t really reverse this. Christian values are compatible with America, whereas a vast amount of the Muslim values – of the modern era at least – are utterly incompatible. Nor could it be any other way, despite the Left’s war to change things – because America is a Judeo-Christian nation in practice if not by law.
