Easter Egg Hunting

Easter Egg Hunting In 2022

‘Tis once again Easter. So, gentlemen, I do hope your ready, willing, and able to go egg hunting – and egg painting đŸ˜‰ – today. After all, almost every single trapping and custom enjoyed during this Spring holiday is based upon Pagan fertility rites – or, neo-Pagan conceits. Either way though, Spring is the time for new life, the time for seed to sown in fertile fields.

And, for you Christians – yes, you should be celebrating the Resurrection instead of following the forms of Eostre’s rites. Yet, o scions of Noah, your God did command you in Genesis 1:26, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

So, given when in the year you celebrate your Christ’s Resurrection, now’s a good time to “get right with God.” đŸ˜†

Happy Easter Or Eostre

Happy Easter Or Eostre

I really don’t care if you celebrate the Christians’ Easter or the Pagans’ Eostre; here’s hoping you have a joyous Spring holiday filled with beauty and fun times.

And Happy Holi

As I wouldn’t want to be called “Eurocentric” or anything like that, I’d like to wish you all a slightly belated Happy Holi as well as Ä’ostre. Got to keep up with the multicultural ethic, after all.

And Happy Holi As Well

OK, OK! All sarcasm aside, I just plain forgot that yesterday was technically Holi. My wives and I actually celebrate this Hindu holiday but, like many such things in the States, when the holiday falls on a weekday the big celebrations and ceremonies are normally held on the nearest weekend. Hence, Sunday we’ll be having fun and getting colorful at this year’s Rangwali Holi.

And hey! Holi’s even more colorful than Ä’ostre.

Blessed Ä’ostre

Ostara
May You Have Blessed Ä’ostre

Whether we each call it Ä’ostre, Ostara, Eostur, or Easter, we celebrate rebirth and a new dawn this holiday. May blessings fall upon you as do the soft rays of the Spring sun.
