Yes, yes; this is just a bit of sarcasm and not a screenshot of an actual CNN headline. But yet, given CNN’s commitment to bringing down President Trump and the American people, it has to clarified that this is just a bit of sarcasm at the expense of the worst of the Lamestream Media.
And there in is the true sadness of the world. Khruschchev’s long game was spot on, despite decades and decades, and failed nation after failed nation to prove that neither Communism nor Socialism can truly work at the national scale. Yet it’s a damnable fact that, since 1960, various Democrats and other Leftists have been incrementally nudging America toward that failure of a socio-economic-political system.
Sports, i.e., competitive athletics have always had a certain amount of controversy surrounding them and that holds true for the professional leagues as well. Still though, it has devolved to the point where the worst competitiveness in athletics is between the different professional leagues, e.g., football’s NFL v. basketball’s NBA.
Yeah, when they’re competing to see and show which group can be more vile and more treasonous to the US, it gotten pretty bad indeed. Just look at what’s happening now. While the NFL did nothing to the “Kneelers,” the NBA actually took action against their players who refused to kneel to China’s oppressive, totalitarianism regime.
While Mr. Goodwyn’s cartoon showcases Beto O’Rourke’s particular brand of apocalyptic hypocrisy, it’s a core component of the Leftists’ – Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, and Identitarians – entire platform and manifesto. All of them do their best to decry Americans, especially Republicans and specifically President Trump, as engaging entirely in the politics of fear – all while weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth about how President Trump will destroy the world. 🙄
But then, we all know that there is no nadir to our domestic enemies’ hypocrisy, especially when it comes to fear. How can there be when the Left and the sorts that they pander to- and enable have weaponized fear long ago and have decided that their fears are the only legitimate ones, with Americans’ fears and/or concerns being signs of their “evil” and “proof” of the validity of the Left’s fears.
