Obama Just Doesn’t Care

The two biggest problems with Obama are that he is nothing better than a narcissistic, petulant, little boy and that he’s utterly incapable of speaking the truth if doing so won’t perfectly serve his purposes, which are completely centered upon the image of himself he’s spent a lifetime creating.

Despite that being common knowledge it’s still amazing how much he and his cronies are decompensating as we near the 2012 elections.

It beggars credulity that Obama’s deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter would say that the terrorist attack at the US Consulate in Benghazi that killed four Americans was only important because Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan talk about the attack.

STEPHANIE CUTTER: In terms of the politicization of this — you know, we are here at a debate, and I hope we get to talk about the debate — but the entire reason this has become the political topic it is, is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. It’s a big part of their stump speech. And it’s reckless and irresponsible what they’re doing.

BROOKE BALDWIN: But, Stephanie, this is national security. As we witnessed this revolution last year, we covered it–

CUTTER: It is absolutely national security–

BALDWIN: –it is absolutely pertinent. People in the American public absolutely have a right to get answers.

When one takes into account that the Campaigner-in-Chief’s deputy – and whatever other positions she might be in under Obama – claims come not long after Obama had already politicized the Muslim terrorist attacks, this is essentially a “nuanced” admission that the Obama Regime didn’t and still doesn’t care about these Muslim terrorist attacks except in how they might effect the boy keeping his job a few years longer.

Obama's LibyaObama Foreign Policy – Leading From Behind

Yeah, Obama’s foreign policy of “Leading From Behind” has run into few “bumps in the road.” Sadly, those bumps were the mutilated corpses of Americans foolish enough to think that they’d be protected by the Obama Regime from the Muslims they were told serve among.

Bumps In The RoadWhich Bump Was Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Boy?

That’s not too shocking, actually. Obama’s only political experience was in Chicago’s South Side and was, therefor, more attuned to insurrection, terrorism, vileness, and violent crime than to defending against them.

I certainly wouldn’t mind four bumps in my road – not if they all had the last name of Obama and I could back up to my car make absolutely sure of each of them. 😉

Add in the logical conclusion as to what she was alluding to with her “And it’s reckless and irresponsible what they’re doing” line and any American can see that Islamic terrorist attacks aren’t the only thing that Obama just doesn’t care about.

America needs a POTUS who cares about our laws, our people, and our security in this ever more savage world and that leaves Obama out of the running. The boy just doesn’t care about anything or anyone except the vision he’s created of himself for himself.

He will be responsible for letting a condition develop in this country which will create a climate that will bring seeds up out of the ground with vegetation on the end of them looking like something his people never dreamed of. In 2012, it’s the ballot or the bullet and either one is a valid means to salvation.

Don’t Mention It

As there Arab Spring inevitably turns into the Islamist Winter it’s interesting to see the specifics of the fallout from Obama’s recent illegal war in Libya.

Don't Mention It
Don’t Mention It, Habibi

Fortunately for Obama, the lamestream media won’t mention it and, even if they did, his core base “knows what hoes are for” and won’t be particularly bothered by this. 😉

Obama’s Only Defense

President Obama has, despite the efforts of the MSM to keep things quiet, managed to rile up a strong and growing storm of condemnation over his usurpation of power and arguably illegal war in Libya.

Obama’s defense of his violation of US law and even the War Powers Act, which gives the POTUS certain limited leeway in using force without prior congressional approval, seems to center upon the war in Libya being a UN mandated action that is being conducted under the auspices of NATO.

Obama - Uh ... What They Said
The UN Made Me Do It. I was Only Following Orders

The only other possibility is that Obama is attempting the Whoopi Defense – It’s not war-war, much like it wasn’t rape-rape in the case of Roman Polanski drugging and rutting into an unconscious 13 year-old girl.

Libya – How Long Again?

A lot of Americans wonder how long the US military will be involved in trying to decide the outcome of the civil war in Libya. Sadly, it appears that the Obama Regime cannot or will not answer that question. Indeed, they are not even willing to speculate upon the potential range of dates involved – Days? Weeks? Months? Years?

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Sunday that nobody has “any idea” how long the United States military could be involved in Libya, though he stressed that Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi’s forces have been crippled by U.S.-led airstrikes.

Asked whether he expects the mission to be over by year’s end, Gates said, “I don’t think anybody knows the answer to that.”

Gates discussed the intervention over the course of several interviews Sunday alongside Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. While he declined to give any estimates for how long the United States could be involved, the two officials stressed that significant gains have been made and NATO is taking on a much bigger role.

That makes more than a little sense actually. One would have to have decided upon a set of victory conditions before one could even begin to predict how long it will take to achieve them or have it proved that they cannot be achieved. There’s no visible signs that either the Obama Regime or the UN Security Council has defined those victory conditions.

Libya – Exit Strategy

President Obama has publicly mouthed words to the effect that “our exit strategy would begin this week” but that it’s not really exiting the theater at all, only attempting to change the public face of our involvement.

“The exit strategy will be executed this week,” President Obama said, “in the sense that we will be pulling back from our much more active efforts to shape the environment. We will still be in a support role. We will be supplying jamming, intelligence and other assets unique to us.”

In some ways this actually sounds good; it’s past time for the other nations to step up and bear their fair share of the costs – political, financial, and human – of policing more the feral and savage areas of the world at large.

There are, however, some very serious issues with Obama’s statement and actions, both previous and planned.

Shucking, Jiving, and Nuance

No amount of nuanced statements, “Clintonian” triangulations, or spin doctoring is going to reconcile the inherent contradiction within Obama’s “exit strategy” statement. Moving out of a leadership position in Operation Odyssey Dawn isn’t an exit strategy. Obama’s trying to claim otherwise is and will continue to be nothing but shucking and jiving.

Shades Of Pontius Pilate

Washing his hands of responsibility didn’t work so well for Pontius Pilate’s portrayal by history and Obama’s transparent attempt to have Britain and France play the role of the Sadducees in regards to Libya most likely won’t work any better for Obama or America.

Neither the Muslim World nor the Liberals and Progressives in America are going to forget over 100 Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from American ships during the first day of the conflict. Nor are either group likely to believe that UNSCR 1973 was approved without President Obama’s permission, especially since the US’ representative to the Security Council voting in favor it.

What will happen, if things go as badly as they might, is that our allies will be prone to believe that Obama left them holding the bag, much as the unlamented 5th Roman Prefect of Judea did to the Sadducees.

~*~

This boils down to a rookie mistake by the POTUS. A more experienced person would have known to not only start as they meant to finish, but that back-pedaling and waffling on any issue, especially one as incendiary as a war in the Muslim World, would be seen as worse in the long run than just doing whatever it is one meant to do in the first place.

If Obama didn’t approve of this adventure, he shouldn’t have voted by proxy in favor of it. If it was never his intention for US forces to lead Operation Odyssey Dawn, he should have made that and what our role would actually be clear to everyone from the very beginning.
