A Do-Nothing Congress?

Liberals and their Lamestream Media have denounced the 113th Congress as The Do-Nothing Congress and they’ve erroneously declared it The Least Productive Congress in History. Predictably, they declaim that this is wrong and evil and, equally predictably, they blame the GOP and only the GOP for this situation which they so deplore.

The 113th Congress is the Do-Nothing Congress?
The Do-Nothing Congress

To America’s domestic enemies the simply fact that the 113th Congress has passed just 58 laws to be sent to Obama’s desk so that his little robot can sign them into law so far is a major failing. This is simply because Liberals and Progressives measure the worth of Congress by the sheer quantity of public laws enacted. To them that is governance.

Leftists are ideologically unable to comprehend, much less understand, the simple truth that sometimes less is more and this is certainly true of the enactment of additional laws.

The Elephant’s Child sums it up well:

The Do-Nothing Congress has been good for America, and if they pass few new laws, we can breathe slightly more easily.  Congress passed just 70 laws, which may be too many. But Obama and Congressional Democrats planned an array of Big Government initiatives — gun control, immigration reform, a higher minimum wage, more job creation, infrastructure (again!), climate change, and education, to name only a few. Congress ended the year with none of those initiatives signed into law. And we are far better for it. No major tax hike, and the probability of a major tax hike in the next year has fallen.

NOTE: We have a minor discrepancy. The Elephant’s Child says 70 laws and my figures show 58. It’s not really here nor there but worth noting.

But then, this is the difference between Americans and the statists of the Left. Americans know that governing is not measured, at least positively measured, by the number of laws that are enacted.

Because They Care

Obama The Liar-in-ChiefThe Obama Regime and their Liberal sycophants want both the shutdown of large parts of the federal government to end and there to be no doubt about- or argument over once again raising the Federal Government’s debt ceiling because they care so much about the country and we, the People…or so they’ll claim whenever foolishly given the hand-out of an opportunity to do so.

This sounds good. It sounds exactly like what a POTUS should be thinking and saying during situations like these. It’s quite a shame that it’s just another of the boy’s incessant lies.

The truth of what the Obama and his coterie in the White care about has been revealed to be somewhat different than those oft-repeated claims.

On Oct. 4, a senior official in the Obama administration told The Wall Street Journal that the administration doesn’t care about how long the government remains shut down.

“We are winning,” the official said. “It doesn’t really matter to us” how long the shutdown lasts because what matters is the end result,” the source added.

And that is the truth of it. Neither Obama nor the Democrats in general care about Americans or the American people. All they care about is victory – not even in this standoff, but in the 2014 and 2016 elections – no matter what the costs to others might be.

It also explains why Obama won’t agree to any legislation that would keep Veterans Affairs and NIH open during the shutdown. And it explains why they shutdown open air memorials that actually cost more tax dollars to close than to keep open.

Tear it down before we tear you and your's down, you worthless, misborn sack of monkey shit.
Tear Down This Wall, Boy!

Sadly for some number of Americans, the Obama Regime thinks that they’re winning by shutting down the government and blaming Republicans, and such callous gamesmanship is their sole criteria for caring about anything. Hence, they’re not likely to change course unless the People rise up and prove to them that they’re not, in fact, winning anything with their insensitivity towards- and despite for both the American people and their constituency, the latter of whom are far more dependent upon government largess.

I wonder if the boy and his Liberals have ever read of the Battle of Cannae and it’s detailing of the dangers of thinking you’re winning because you seem to be moving forward.

And yes, for those few of you who have studied history, I know that this is a somewhat ironic musing since Obama and his Liberals have sacrificed more babies to dark Gods than the Carthaginians ever did.

Know this and know it well the Obama Regime does not care for or about the American people at all. They even only care about their fellow-travelers and minority tenants on election day and act accordingly based upon this mindset. They care about victory and ruling our country for their ends and nothing else.

The filth belongs hanging from a tree, not fouling the White HouseOf course, this is not in any way shock. Years ago the American people learned the hard way that Obama in his cabal: do not watch for our souls; do not believe that they must give account to either us or the God(s); and do not, in the case of 53% of us, care what is unprofitable for us? They broke their covenant immediately upon believing they had come to power.

We, the People must hold these uncaring, would-be tyrants accountable for their failures and malicious misdeeds. The only questions of merit are what forms and within what limits, if any at all, our reprisals should take.

~*~

They will be responsible for letting a condition develop in this country which will create a climate that will bring seeds up out of the ground with vegetation on the end of them looking like something their people never dreamed of. In 2013 and beyond it’s no longer time for the ballot; that season has past after bearing cancerous fruit.

Keep your eyes open. Travel light but load heavy, and always put another round in the enemy after they’re down. 😉 Remember also, if you love your children, you must know that their children are the enemy as well and must be exterminated.

The States’ Party

GOP - The American ElephantStarting in 2008 and increasingly over the intervening five years we Americans have repeatedly heard how the Republican Party was dying and how the GOP was doomed. Given their showing in the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections and also their inability to retake control of the Senate in the 2010 elections from our domestic enemies, this opinion is easy to arrive at and very seductive to the Left.

This, however, is a false assumption. It’s mere hopeful wishing on the part of the Liberals and Progressives and a tool being used by the Establishment GOP to try to maintain control of a party who has left them in favor of returning to America’s roots and core values. It has little or no basis in fact.

To start with, the GOP took control of the House of Representatives and has held that control to this date, with little thought that this will change in the 2014 elections. More important and telling is the Republican Party has been emphatically shown to the the States’ party of choice.

  • 30 states now have Republican governors vs. 20 with Democrat governors
  • 25 states now have GOP control of both the Executive and Legislature vs. 14 where DEMs control both the Executive and Legislature

Does sound or look like the GOP is moribund or does, especially when combined with the GOP’s lasting control of the House, show that the majority of Americans choose and vote Republican?

A Red Nation Rising From The Ground Up

It’s a simple case of the wisdom of subsidiarity. The closer the position is to the People the more often the People chose Republicans because the closer the position is to the People the less they favor the goals and agenda of the Democrats and the less the election is skewed by the bias and prejudices of the minority voters.

This is why the Democrats and their operatives focus so heavily upon federal control of- and influence over any and matters, most of which are meant to left to the several States. They know that they’ve built their whole platform on catering the needs and desires of those minority of staunchly Liberal states to the exclusion of needs and desires of the majority of Americans. It’s also why those blue states will remain blue. The Democrats’ policies are tailored to them and do a decent job of fulfilling their wishes.

No, the Republican Party isn’t dying. It’s growing from the ground up stronger than before because it’s the States’ party.

Jobless Rate Drops

The jobless rate has dropped approximately 50% faster and further in states that elected Republican leadership in the 2010 elections than the national average. In the 17 states that elected fiscally-conservative, tea party-supported GOP Governors unemployment dropped 1.35% vs. the 0.9% national average.

  • Alabama – 9.3% to 7.4% (-1.9%)
  • Florida – 10.9% to 8.6% (-2.3%)
  • Georgia – 10.1% to 8.9% (-1.2%)
  • Iowa – 6.1% to 5.1% (-1.0%)
  • Kansas – 6.9% to 6.1% (-0.8%)
  • Maine – 8.0% to 7.4%  (-0.6%)
  • Michigan – 10.9% to 8.5% (-2.4%)
  • Nevada – 13.8% to 11.6% (-2.2%)
  • New Mexico – 7.7% to 6.7% (-1.0%)
  • Ohio – 9.0% to 7.3% (-1.7%)
  • Oklahoma – 6.2% to 4.8% = (-1.4%)
  • Pennsylvania – 8.0% to 7.4% (-0.6%)
  • South Carolina – 10.6% to 9.1% (-1.5%)
  • South Dakota – 5.0% to 4.3% (-0.7%)
  • Tennessee – 9.5% to 7.9% (-1.6%)
  • Wisconsin – 7.7% to 6.8% (-0.9%)
  • Wyoming – 6.3% to 5.2% (-1.1%)

On thing to bear in mind, however, is that this represent correlation; it does not, at face value, represent causation. Many factors play into unemployment statistics and this is only evidence – strong evidence, admittedly – that Republican leadership is better at fixing America’s number one problem, unemployment, than the profligate spenders of the Democratic Party. It is not proof per se.

Also, these figures are based upon official unemployment numbers and those are more political fiction than reality. For all we know from this analysis it may be that a larger than average number of the jobless may have just fallen off the roles into uncounted limbo, just as a large percentage of the official average nation drop of 0.9% is made up of these poor, lost souls.

It deserves serious thought though as we go into the 2012 elections. Prima facie evidence from these 17 states certainly suggests that the GOP is the right choice for anyone wanting the economy to turn around in a reasonable time-frame.

This Election Stinks!

This election stinks! The 2012 Presidential election is essentially a party line vote and predicated more upon party loyalty than anything else – and that is no way to do things.

Obama Or Romney? Some Choice.

So this will be America’s choice. Do we want the narcissistic, little Black boy who’s screwed things all to Hell and back, or do we want the narcissistic little White boy who’s unlikely to fix it?

I, for one, would have preferred a better set of choices – or, at least, a real choice – but the Establishment and Lamestream Media prevent that coming to pass – as the nature of the Republican Primary debates clearly showed.

Ah well…Like all Americans, I’ll hold my nose and try to vote Obama out – but I’ll keeps stocking up on ammo and other needful supplies.
