Once again Massachusetts’ Elizabeth Warren aka the Waba Squaw aka Fauxcahontas has made ripples across the internet and, once again, it’s because of her own failure. This time it’s her failure to “walk” as he “talks.”

In 2016, the Waba Squaw ranted that Equal Pay Day was a A National Day Of Embarrassment.

Today is Equal Pay Day, and by the sound of it, you would think it’s some sort of historic holiday commemorating the anniversary of a landmark day that our country guaranteed equal pay for women. But that’s not what this is about. Not even close.

I cannot believe we’re still standing here debating whether a woman should get fired for asking what the guy down the hall makes.

#EqualPayDay isn’t a national day of celebration. It’s a national day of embarrassment.

The game is rigged against women and families, and it has to stop. It is 2016, not 1916, and it’s long past time to eliminate gender discrimination in the workplace.

So far, that was just another tired rendition of the annual Feminist screed about women’s wages vs. those of men. Prima facie, it’s no more of a failure than any of its predecessors were or its successors will be. The specific failure on Fauxcahontas’ part was that she either didn’t know or didn’t that her own house was not in order.

It seems that Warren pays her female staffers significantly less than she does her male ones. Indeed, apparently the gendered “wage gap” in her staff outstrips America’s national average.

Last year’s figures, showing that women earned 79.6 percent of what men earned, put Equal Pay Day on Tuesday April 4, more than three months into the calendar year.

However, women working for Warren were paid just 71 cents for every dollar paid to men during the 2016 fiscal year, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis.

The median annual earnings for women staffers, $52,750, was more than $20,000 less than the median annual earnings for men, $73,750, according to the analysis of publicly available Senate data.

When calculated using average salaries rather than median, the pay gap expands to just over $26,051, or about 31 percent.

Consistent with previous Free Beacon analyses of Senate salary data, only full-time staffers who were employed for the entire period in question were included in the calculations.

It be easy to just chalk this up to yet more hypocrisy from a Leftist, but think that’s unfair. I tend to think of it as more of an unavoidable failure on Fauxcahontas’ part than it is hypocrisy. I’m fairly sure that Warren wanted to have a more equal pay distribution by gender but couldn’t manage to do it because there were simply not enough women who were equally or better qualified for the mid-to-higher positions which she needed filled, which in turn skewed to average in favor of men. This also seems to me to compounded by men being more likely to bargain for higher starting salaries than women seem to be.

You see, the “Wage Gap,” as it is so often presented, is a pernicious myth that is promulgated by certain sorts to fulfill their own agendas and line their own pocketbooks.

Let’s all face facts. If this supposed “Wage Gap” actually existed as it is presented rather than as the result of the average woman’s work-life balance choices, this have created what amounted to an arbitrage opportunity in terms of human capital that even moderately business savvy people would have already exploited to great effect. They would have form firms comprised solely or primarily of these underpaid women and out-competed other firms with their comparatively over-paid men. The result of this arbitrage would have been to inevitably to close such gaps until they were no larger than the transaction costs of the arbitrage endeavor. But, of course, there’s no visible signs of this ever having happened…

Let’s face it; the Sisyphean “traji-comedy” above is almost an iconic representation of those members of the American workforce that we do hear about, the ones clamoring for a higher minimum and/or other privileges that neither their ability nor willingness to work or the jobs they perform have earned.

Organized Hypocrisy

Big LaborTruly, there’s no hypocrisy quite like organized hypocrisy, as the Los Angeles, CA cells of the labor unions have just shown the world. After months of assaulting businesses that were against increasing the minimum wage to $15 /Hr, the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor — the local cell of the AFL-CIO — now, on the eve of LA’s adopting the increase, demands that union shops be exempted from the minimum wage increase.

While shocking in the arrogant overtness of these grifters’ demand, the demand for an escape clause for the unions is hardly shocking in its substance. While the ever-credulous “sheeple” have been gulled into believing that unions’ battles to raise the minimum wage are motivated by concern for low-income Americans, reasonable and more informed Americans know that it’s actually all about increasing the power and membership of the unions and, thereby, increasing the monies that they take from the workers now beholden to them.

Any such exemption would allow the unions greater strength when it comes to infiltrating various workplaces. They would be able to tell businesses such as fast food chains, hotels, and hospitals that if they agree to allowing the unions to take over the labor pool, their labor costs will be substantially lower because they will be forced by law to pay their unskilled workers the new, higher minimum wage.

Truly, there’s no hypocrisy quite like organized hypocrisy. Big Labor cares about its own coffers, not those of the workers.

Your Future Is Now

I’ve said before that raising the minimum wage in order to provide the “poor” with the material standard of living they feel entitled to is a plan that will backfire, causing incalculable financial harm to the very people it’s meant to provide for.

Well, it appears that, if you’re one of those who’ve been screaming to make $15 / hr to flip burgers, your future is now. McDonald’s is piloting a new, cashier-free kiosk system in several major US cities after having great success with them in Europe. And this is just McDonald’s; others are moving this way as well.

What is as telling as it is interesting is that, despite the hype, that these kiosks were developed to reduce labor costs, they weren’t. They were developed in order to speed up the ordering process and overall improve the customer experience…because the workers, who now want more money, couldn’t or wouldn’t do job as well as a self-service kiosk.

And the above are just about the cashiers. Other automated systems are in development or early pilot to completely automate the fast food cooking process. Hence, soon there may be very few people employed in the fast food industry at all.

Yes, to all those who’ve pushed, and pushed, and putsched to jack up the minimum wage I say, your future is now and it is bleak.

Raising The Lowest Rung

As I write this article, the minimum wage has risen or will rise this week in 20 states, the most widespread non-federally mandated raise in the minimum wage in US history.

This is the result of a national “movement” of low-wage workers, their advocates, labor unions, and Left-wing politicians fomenting anger, discord, and hysteria about the supposedly widening gap between the rich and the “poor” in the United States.

Of course, the presumably unintended consequences of raising the minimum wage is that teens just entering the workforce, especially Black teens, will find it more difficult to get a job. Simply put, raising the lowest rung puts it out of reach of the less able.

So what will happen is that more youths will find it harder to break into the employment market and that this barrier will “disproportionately impact” Black youths, thereby helping to perpetuate and exacerbate the syndrome of Black unemployment, poverty, criminality, and dependence upon- and cognitive servitude to government largess.

Not so oddly, I predicted this a year and two days ago. Also not so oddly, I’m less than perfectly pleased by being right.
