It’s an old, largely deprecated due to Leftist emotion, axiom that blood will tell and that the apple rarely falls far from the tree. The Trumps and Biden are strong evidence of the truth of this though. To a large extent the Trump family halted their international business endeavors when President Trump took office, but the Biden family started engaging in them when Creepy Uncle Joe became geopolitically useful.

That Foreign Aid is just a fancy, disingenuous, and legally defensible way for politicians to say, “money laundering” is a factual way of defining the term and practice. It’s not the only correct way of defining – hence why I’ve used “factual” instead of “honest” – but it does correct identify the reality on the ground since a large number of politicians do essentially use it that way, even if the goal of the Foreign Aid is at least somewhat legitimate.
And no, Ladies, Gentlemen, and Democrats, I’m not stating this in a vacuum of ignorance or through being influenced by the media or certain internet pundits. I worked for many years for employers that made the majority of their income off of Foreign Aid. I saw who the major investors were. I watched the changes in said investments match whether or not a contract would be won by employers. I took the meetings with politicians and dealt with their very specific questions regarding my deployments. And, I testified in one of the hearings when they actually got gigged for influence peddling and corruption.
This is a large part of why politicians get wealthy while in office. It’s also why any and all reforms they enact upon themselves of pro forma slaps on the wrists without any impact or deterrence.

“No one is above the law.” A commonly heard refrain, especially from our domestic enemies as they do whatever they can to prevent President Trump’s return to the helm of America. But, at the same time, they’ve made it abundantly clear for years that some are above the law.
Well, they’re above the law as it is codified and enforced by the servants we the People have retained to do this work for us. No one is above the law of the People and no measures or security details can fully protect them and their kin from its enforcement. 😉
For good or ill, I think this is something that the survivors among them will learn soon given how things are going.

Yeah, the government corruption we’ve seen is just the tip of the iceberg. The graft, corruption, and covered up rank criminality of many politicians and permanent members of the bureaucracy – i.e., the Deep State – at all levels of government runs far deeper than we’re aware of or allowed to be aware of. Insider trading, rampant tax fraud, and profiting off of awarded government contracts is just part of their endemic criminality, and we don’t and likely won’t hear about the rest of it.
And how could we see any of the rest of the government corruption afflicting our nation? The Lamestream Media – and the majority of major social media platforms – are effectively wholly owned by the Democrats, so they’re not going to put much, if any, effort into exposing that party’s malfeasance. And, either the Republicans are not nearly as corrupt or are far better at hiding their crimes. Hence, they’re not getting exposed even the “journalists” have been told by the Dems to do so.
But, to state what is worse and to partially excuse the Lamestream Media’s refusal to expose more of the graft and corruption of our politicians, there’d be little point in their doing so. Unless the politician or bureaucrat had went “Full Kwame,” they face little to no legal repercussions – a $200 fine, if it’s even levied, on millions of dollars of illegal investment 🙄 – and less electoral penalties since we as a People don’t seem to care. We reelect them if they, in general, purport to further our interests.
So, since outing these corrupt pols does nothing or next to nothing and doesn’t generate a significant news cycle and the resultant increased income for the media outlets, the isn’t really a point to their reporting to us about them.
So yeah, the government corruption we’ve seen is just the tip of the iceberg, and that’s likely all we’re going to see.

When it’s Bernie Freaking Sanders saying something like this, Democrats should listen and take what he’s saying to heart. They won’t though. They crossed the Rubicon back in 2015 and there’s no going back for them. They’ve placed themselves in a position where they either succeed in fundamentally changing the very nature of America or this is the hill they’ll die on.
Apparently Insufficient Fear
Then, Congress is full of the sorts who ignored what the January 6th protest and resulting incursion into the Capitol meant. They put up fences; they engaged in a still ongoing kangaroo pseudo-court to persecute President Trump; they are openly attempting to disarm the People. But they’re not asking themselves what they did to bring things to this point. Not one of them – except, apparently, Senator Sanders! 😯 – not even once where we, the People could read or hear it.
When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty…except, apparently, when that fear is insufficient or the government is too far gone into collective narcissism to understand.
No. Instead, they went directly after the POTUS that they used every means at their disposal – legal, extralegal, and possibly illegal – for four years to forcibly remove from office. In their delusional state and utter denial of their own wrongdoings, they acted as if they believe that one man, President Trump, was such a terrifyingly powerful demagogue that he could actually shape the feelings of the American people.
Hint – Trump isn’t even that great of a speaker, as the Left has pointed out repeatedly. He’s not shaping opinions or policies. He’s a just representation of Americans’ anger.
And these Democrats – and the Republicans who, for whatever reasons, are insufficiently against them – have chosen to “double-down” on things.
The Democrats’ Federal Enforcers
Fortunately, it wasn’t the second “Shot Heard ‘Round The World.” The President was not in residence during the raid and the FBI managed not to shoot anyone else while carrying out the Democrats’ orders. That would have sparked some sad hybrid of revolution, civil war, and poorly focused violent insurrection.
Weaponizing the FBI and then being that callously overt in its misuse is bad enough. It was probably the last straw for the DOJ and, by extension, all the federal law enforcement and quasi-law enforcement agencies.
At this point, I’m not sure what’s going to happen beyond Congress and their Alphabet Bois and Gurls either not developing self-awareness or realizing that they’ve already gone too far and can’t back down now. What it’s going to look like and exactly when it going to go down is beyond my ken.
But I’m pretty sure that this is the hill they’re going to die on, or it’s going to be the hill that America dies on… or both, as is more likely.
