Verily, FAFO

Verily, FAFO!
Verily, FAFO

Moors, Saracens, Mongols – they all fucked around with Christendom and they all found out. FAFO is the history of the West. Some sorts these days, especially ones in the West who should know better, need to remember this. Or not. It is what it is, and we’ve plenty of ammo and a growing acceptance of the returned need to use it.

Gen X Fire Equipment

Gen X Fire Equipment
Gen X Fire Equipment

Yeah, that pretty much sums up Gen X’s idea of fire equipment. If and when a fire breaks out, we’re far more likely to start toasting marshmallows than flee or fight it. I’d say that we were past caring, but I’m not sure we ever really cared in the first place. We’re born and raised to just watch world burn.

And, more importantly, we expected the world the burn. Remember, every single individual Gen Xer alive at this moment has outlived their life expectancy and their own expectation of being alive.

The Agnorance Of Youth

The Agnorance Of Youth
The Agnorance Of Youth

This is nigh on perfect for these days. It showcases some of the specific agnorance – a portmanteau of ignorance and arrogance – of some Millennials and Gen-Zers. They really think that either they invented stuff or that it was invented after the time of Gen-Xers. The case in point be vinyl records, which a number them have “appropriated.”

Let’s, however, laugh at them and not get too hypocritically angry. After all, we did this too, as did our parents, and as did their parents… most likely all the way to the beginnings of civilization. 😉

Oh You Funny! Probably Young Too
Oh You Funny! Probably Young Too

You probably need to be at least Gen X to get how funny this is. But, if you are part of our cohort, enjoy.

Clean Underwear?

Clean Underwear?
Clean Underwear? Really?

Yeah, by the bulk of society’s estimates and feelings, I’m old. Hence, this is funnier to me than to many others… because parents actually said this to us in my day. Not mine, mind you, but a lot of them.
