Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions.
Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the new, wonderful good society which shall now be Rome’s, interpreted to mean more money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious.
— Marcus Tullius Cicero

Man is creative and quite inventive. Sadly but not in the least surprisingly, this means that our history is litter with bad ideas and inventions. That’s the problem that the Democrats and the sorts that support them have. Bad ideas matter, both when voiced and when implemented. Yet, bad ideas seem to be the only sort of ideas that the various sorts of Leftists have, especially these days.
Yeah, I think that only thing keeping Americans from screaming, “Oh, the humanity!” is that we don’t really care that much if the Dems and their sorts crash and burn in so long as they don’t burn our nation in the process of their self-immolation.
