Despite it going on mid-May and being deep into Spring, the weather this year has been erratic – hot, cold, wet, dry, all in the same day many times. But God(s) bless the women who are early adopters of summer clothing. 😉 Bold is, after all, both beautiful and provocative.
With Spring and warmer weather being here – or near enough to see it in our minds – I’m forced to wonder the groaning sheeple of our ongoing zombie apocalypse will allow sports any time in the foreseeable future.
Personally, living near several fine city parks where various sporting activities have a long, beautiful history of amateur sporting, I’d miss such gatherings. After all, it’s not just young men whose fantasies turn toward sports – and the sporty babes involved – as the weather warms up. 😉
Of course, the above is either a rhetorical question or one thrown up to the God(s). It’s not as if herds can answer this.
While any link between the Christians’ Easter and the Anglo-Saxon goddess, Ēostre – now, often called Ostara by Neo-Pagans – may well only exists in St. Bede’s mind and writings, it’s still one of my favorite Christian-originated/Christian-appropriated holidays. How can I not love a holiday centered upon Spring and Fertility? 😆
It may be March but, March or not, it’s still cold out there. Well, at least where I am it is. For those in the South, e.g., Houston, TX, things may be a bit different and warmer. But fortunately, both sweaters and thigh-high socks are wonderful and warming things. Hence, the ongoing cold weather can and should be enjoyed, not just endured.
