Why The Cain-ing?

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on December 2nd, 2011

In the wake of the lamestream media’s concerted attack upon Herman Cain “Cain-ing” should become a tropism and “to be Cained” and “he got Cained” should definitely become part of America’s lexicon.

Cain-ing

Function: verb

Date: 2011

Definition(s):

  1. the act of using the publicizing of unsubstantiated allegations from less than credible complainants to erode perception of an individual’s character so as to weaken their position in matters not directly related to the allegations or complainants.

But the real question and the crux of issue at hand is why the lamestream MSM willfully chose to wage a war of character assassination against Herman Cain in the hopes of sandbagging his bid for the 2012 GOP presidental nomination?

Obama To Gut SSI

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on November 22nd, 2011

Emperor Obama wearing laurel wreathAmerica’s Campaigner-in-Chief, Obama, thinks that gutting Social Security is a good thing but wants to push the GOP into being the ones that do it. Or, at least, that’s what he was jabbering in New Hampshire as part of his ever-rolling 2012 reelection campaign.

Specifically, he demanded that the payroll tax-cuts he got through Congress earlier this year be extended past their agreed upon duration.

Hell, the boy even demanded that they be increased even further – all at the cost of Social Security which gets its funding from those payroll taxes.

During a speech Tuesday at a Manchester high school, the president was to argue that a failure to extend the tax breaks would hurt middle-class families already struggling amid a shaky economy, effectively daring congressional Republicans to block a measure and thus increase taxes.

“If we don’t act, taxes will go up for every single American, starting next year. And I’m not about to let that happen,” Obama said Monday, previewing the message he was expected to deliver.

The expiring payroll tax cuts came at a total cost of approximately $120 billion and not only does Obama want to increase that drain on Social Security’s already bleeding coffers, he wants to further cut the payroll tax by another 1% for workers, at a total cost of $179 billion, and cut the employer share of the tax in half as well for most companies, which carries a $69 billion price tag.

Given the ages and other demographics of the TEA Party, I’m sure that gutting Social Security to buy votes was an easy choice for Obama to make. It might even be punitive action.

The estimated to loss to Social Security from Obama’s transparent attempt to buy votes in 2012 would be $368 billion. This is a loss that it is doubtful that SSI can absorb.

Social Security expenditures exceeded the program’s non-interest income in 2010 for the first time since 1983. The $49 billion deficit last year (excluding interest income) and $46 billion projected deficit in 2011 are in large part due to the weakened economy and to downward income adjustments that correct for excess payroll tax revenue credited to the trust funds in earlier years. This deficit is expected to shrink to about $20 billion for years 2012-2014 as the economy strengthens. After 2014, cash deficits are expected to grow rapidly as the number of beneficiaries continues to grow at a substantially faster rate than the number of covered workers.

There’s little or no doubt that Social Security is doomed. It was never designed to deal with America’s growing population and it’s trust fund was stolen by the federal government for their own uses decades ago. That doesn’t in any way make it right for Obama to try to gut it and to maneuver others into taking the blame for doing so.

If the boy wants to finally write off Social Security as a loss, fine. Let him own up to that and take responsibility for this one single thing during his misbegotten life and tenure as POTUS.

Beer Summit 2012

Posted in 2012 Election, Beer, Humor, Politics on November 18th, 2011

In days not so long gone by Obama has showed an interest in holding beer summits, presumably to foster the idea that he’s one of the people instead of a Ivy League educated “1%’er” with little or no connection with- or understanding of we, the People.

In itself that’s no problem; Presidents are rarely from the masses. If Obama plans to revisit this campaign tactic though, it’s going to take reworking similar to his wealth redistribution campaign plank and the Obama Girl.

A Malty, Robust, Jobless Recovery Ale

Obama leads a charmed life though and, thanks to the Lagunitas Brewing Company, there’s the perfect beer for his next iteration of a beer summit – Wilco Tango Foxtrot.

Like Obama, WTF is rich and brown, but carries a harsh, bitter bite that is not normal in an American product. In the beer’s case it comes from Californian hops sensibilities

It’s noteworthy and apropos that Wilco Tango Foxtrot was supposed to be named “2010 Recovery Ale” but they said, “It’s 2011 and it STILL doesn’t look like we’ll be there anytime soon.”

If you can still afford it and tolerate the bite, hoist a glass of WTF in Obama’s “honor.” 😉

Obama Girl 2012

Posted in 2012 Election, Humor on November 15th, 2011

Obama got a lot buzz, and not a little boost in the polls, from Obama Girl back in the 2008 elections. Sadly for him, Amber Lee Ettinger aka Obama Girl, fell out of love with Obama after he became POTUS and failed to address the issues she cared most about – the economy and jobs.

“I know he’s getting a lot of flak for things that he’s not doing,” she told The Post. “In my opinion, I feel like he should be focusing a lot more on jobs and the economy.”

So with the unlikelihood of Obama Girl’s return for the culmination of Obama’s 4 year-long at that point reelection bid, Obama’s handlers will have to adjust things much as they did with his wealth distribution platform.

Early mock-ups seem to indicate that Team Obama is going for a “gritty reboot” of the Obama Girl franchise and hoping to tie more closely into the Occupy Wall St. “movement.”

Multiple Non-Choice

If there was a shred of doubt remaining that CNN isn’t in the tank for Obama, the “interesting” question their White House correspondent Dan Lothian fed Obama during his Hawaiian “we’re lazy” tour put it rest.

“Last night at the Republican debate, some of the hopefuls, they hope to get your job, they defended the practice of waterboarding which is a practice you banned in 2009. Herman Cain said, quote, ‘I don’t see that as torture.’ Michele Bachmann said that it’s, quote, ‘very effective.’ So I’m wondering if you think that they’re uninformed, out of touch, or irresponsible?” CNN’s White House correspondent Dan Lothian asked President Obama in Hawaii.

Of course spoon feeding Obama questions like that are the best way of handling the boy, who’s not so eloquent without the TOTUS to guide him, and it’s certainly the best way of not having your White House correspondent lose all meaningful access to information from a White House hell-bent on controlling the message.

Dan Lothian - CNN's WHite House NegroBut then, a hope for this sort of questioning is likely why CNN appointed Dan Lothian as their White House Correspondent immediately after Obama’s election in the first place.

Lothian’s 2004 coverage of the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s historic decision in Brown vs. Board of Education and Rosa Parks’ funeral in 2005 made him perfect for White House duty during Obama’s tenure.

On the brighter side, at least the Lamestream MSM isn’t trying to be subtle about their biases anymore. This is good for America since it’s much easier for American’s to deal with the quasi-journalistic fifth column when they’re not keeping their machinations subtle and behind the scenes.
