There Are Reasons

Posted in Humor, Politics, Society on October 27th, 2013

Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. More often, however, the people are neither particularly good or bad and what happens to them is similarly a mixture of success and failure.

There are reasons, however, for everything that happens…

Everything Happens For A ReasonEverything Happens For A Reason

This is just the way that life is. The only shameful part of it is that too many people seem to believe that what happens to them, often as a result of their choices, entitles them to the support and wealth of uninvolved and likely disinterested third-parties.

Greasing The Slope

Posted in Ethics & Morality, Politics, Society on October 23rd, 2013

Slippery SlopeThe Slippery Slope is generally considered to be a fallacy. It is an argument in which a person asserts that some event must inevitably follow from another, prior event without any providing any argument for the inevitability of the event in question. In most cases, there are a series of steps or gradations between the eventual event and the one being argued against but no reason is given as to why the intervening steps or gradations will simply be bypassed or enacted in their turn.

In general I agree. The Slippery Slope is a fallacy and, much more often than not, sloppy thinking. But what if we’re greasing the slope as it were?

Many laws, especially those dealing with sexual partnering, sexual acts, and sexual relationships are wholly or primarily based upon societal mores and cultural “prejudices.” Many of those laws that once had valid scientific rationales at one time have lost those rationals due to medical advances. Others had and still have outcome-based basis in the effects such things have upon the titular children of such unions, yet those negative consequences have been ignored in favor of a new ideology.

As you chip away at those laws that are based upon societal mores and cultural “prejudices” or apply new societal mores and cultural “prejudices” to existing situations you can make it so that each increase in permissiveness makes the next incremental increase that much more likely through normalizing or “main streaming” what was once unthought-of, abhorrent, and/or outre.

Western, especially American, jurisprudence also has to be taken into account because it’s inherently based upon Common Law and under the US interpretation of such court cases are decided based upon prior argument, precedents, and judicial pronouncements rather than solely on legislative enactments. in other words, arguments and verdicts in prior, similar court cases can be compelling or even binding precedents in current and future cases.

The Slope As It Was, Is, and Will Probably Be

Past Present Future
Miscegenation → Sodomy → Gay Marriage → Polygamy →
Fornication Incest
Adultery Pedophilia
BDSM

Progress Is Opinion. Progression Is Mathematics

The battle to overturn the laws against miscegenation was long and hard-fought but it was victorious. But many of the same arguments that were successfully used Loving v. Virginia to end those “Jim Crow” statutes were later used in Lawrence v. Texas to abolish or make largely enforceable the various laws against: Sodomy, Fornication, Adultery, and violent sexual fetishism (BDSM). In turn, arguments from both Loving and Lawrence have been used to legalize Gay Marriage in various states and to overturn DOMA at the federal level.

Each set of court cases added their levels of grease to the slope, making it increasingly slippery. Hence, there is no logical reason not to predict that this progression will continue and that these increasingly entrenched arguments and precedents will be used to legalizing polygamy, incest, and some forms and/or levels of pedophilia.

It’s The O vs. The O

Posted in Politics, Society on October 22nd, 2013

I know that it’s hard to believe but it seems that we’re witnessing a battle royale. It’s the Imperial President, Obama I vs. the Queen of Talk, Oprah Winfrey and the battleground is ObamaCare.

Obama vs. OprahObama vs. Oprah – A Battle Royale

It did seem strange that Oprah wasn’t shilling for the First Black President’s signature health care law. She was, after all, instrumental in getting him the Democrat nomination in the 2008 primaries and in later getting him into the White House.

At least the New York Post provides an explanation for this.

As the White House was gearing up to sell ObamaCare to the American people last summer, Valerie Jarrett, the president’s pointwoman on a host of issues, phoned Oprah Winfrey.

She invited the Queen of All Media to join celebrities, including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys, to meet with President Obama and discuss how they could generate publicity for his health-care law.

“All of Oprah’s top people thought she would go, because when the president invites you to the White House, most people automatically say yes,” said one of Oprah’s closest advisers. “But Oprah said she didn’t have the time or inclination to go. It wasn’t like she had to think it over. It was an immediate, flat-out, unequivocal no.”

Instead, Oprah sent a low-level rep from one of her talent agencies, which was regarded as a insult. Obama had been counting on Oprah’s immense persuasive powers to help enroll millions in ObamaCare. But as the rollout turned into a disaster, Oprah didn’t lift a finger to help.

This is not to say that Oprah has come out against ObamaCare. Obama’s pseudo-quasi-semi-nationalization of America’s health insurance industry is the current battleground, not what is being fought over.

The reasons why the Queen of Talk refused to shill for the Obama Regime seem to be far more venal than that, which is frankly the only reason why I’m willing to cite the New York Post – They’re so very good at the venal and/or prurient.

Everyone remembers that Oprah went all out for Obama during the 2008 presidential election. What was not reported was that, in return, Oprah was promised unique access to the White House if Obama won. She’d get regular briefings on initiatives and a heads-up on programs to give her material for her fledgling cable network, OWN.

“Oprah intended to make her unique White House access a part of her new network,” a source close to Oprah told me. “There were big plans, and a team was put together to come up with proposals that would have been mutually beneficial.

“But none of that ever happened. Oprah sent notes and a rep to talk to Valerie Jarrett, but nothing came of it. It slowly dawned on Oprah that the Obamas had absolutely no intention of keeping their word and bringing her into their confidence.”

That’s the Obamas for you. They have never learned the lesson that loyalty is a two-way street. It’s likely that, given their entitlement mentality, that they actually incapable of learning that lesson.

The interesting part is that further points out an internal schism in the Obama Regime, with the FLOTUS and Valerie Jarrett holding a separate court within the White House and often working against others in the inner circle in order to maintain or further their power.

“Oprah was hoping there would be a genuine change in the atmospherics,” one of her friends told me. “But there hasn’t been. Clearly, she is being rebuffed at the level of Michelle and Valerie. And, just as obviously, President Obama hasn’t interfered on Oprah’s behalf.”

Of course, it doesn’t have to be even that complicated. There are simpler and baser reasons that might explain the schism between the White House and Oprah Winfrey who, in other times, would be the logical celebrity spokeswoman for the regime.

Ugly Moochelle
Fat-Assed, Nigga Bitch Needs To Stay Away From My Man!

Of course the reasons don’t really matter all that much in the long run. What matters is that the Obama Regime has burned the bridge between themselves and Oprah Winfrey, who a great number of people – people in key demographics for any perceived success by Obama – treat as a fount of wisom and who treat her words as Gospel.

That, of course, can only be a good thing for the American people.

The Feminist Perversion

Posted in Society on October 21st, 2013

Feminst FiresThere can be little or no real doubt that the modern iteration – degeneration really – of Feminism is a vile perversion of the most abhorrent sort. Whatever “wave” of Feminism we’re suffering through now should be named the Toxic Wave because, not only have the Toxic Wave Feminists corrupted, poisoned, and perverted nigh on everything their predecessors stood for and accomplished, they have perverted Natural Law.

No! I’m not referring to education, gender roles, societally accepted behavior and decorum, or anything of that nature. I’m not even referring to Sex Positiveness or Sex Negativeness.

I’m referring to the Toxic Wave Feminists’ perversion of attitudes about sex itself at its most fundamental, emotional level.

One passage that I came across recently sums up this perversion with the aptness of a straight razor to the throat:

I’ve heard some people try to say that rape isn’t about sex but rather about power. I want to clear something up: it’s both, because sex is about power. Sex, from an emotional standpoint, is about submission and dominance.

That’s a horrific ideology and a much deeper dogma than Feminists being Sex Positive or Sex Negative, though it seems to be, upon research and reflection, the underpinning of the views towards heterosexual sex of those opposing Feminist camps.

I can think of no greater perversion committed in the name of Feminism than this. They believe- and strive to promulgate the belief that sex et al is a power transference. This leaves no possibility for equality and no room for any intimacy other than that forced through the surrender of the vanquished to the conqueror.

NOTE: To avoid unmeant offense and confusion, some people enjoy, even crave, power transfer during sex and that, when and if consensual, is OK. It’s not the norm though.

It truly disturbs me that a generation of men and women has been raised to believe that sex is about submission and dominance. The peril imposed by this perversion is horrific and far-reaching, as is any doctrine that forces people into- and confines them within the sick and twisted paradigm of Oppressor and Oppressed.

Healthcare Changes

Posted in Humor, Politics on October 20th, 2013

It’s a fact that ObamaCare was designed to fundamentally change America’s healthcare options. In that it has, so far, been completely successful. The new ObamaCare paradigm, barely as yet even implemented, has already created great changes in Americans’ healthcare and health insurance options…

Obamacare ParadigmHealthcare Changes – The ObamaCare Paradigm

Of course, for the vast number of people within America’s borders who are just “normal people” sweeping fundamental changes are often more painful than otherwise. Changes wrought by politicians are even more so.

But let’s not throw the tar baby out with the bath water. ObamaCare has created thousands of jobs. Just look at the provision for 16,000 new IRS agents to enforce and collect the fines for not having an approved health insurance policy…whether you can use the governments’ websites to get one or not.
