Government By The…
President Abraham Lincoln, as the closing lines of his historical Gettysburg Address in November of 1883, said, “…and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
Sadly for America, 146 years later President Barack Obama has been proven to believe that the new nation he and his Liberals are striving to replace America with is to be one that will ensure that, “people of the government, by the government, for the government, shall not perish from the earth.”

Under Obama’s Regime Only Statists Are Allowed
Less than 10% of President Obama’s Cabinet appointees have any private sector work experience at all; over 90% of them are solely from the public sector (government) or academia. Given that public sector employment has since the 1950s accounted for only 15 – 19% percent of Americans’ total employment sources, this had to be the result of a conscious effort.
It should be obvious that this represents a direct attack upon America. Such a President and Cabinet will not put forth or endorse any resolution that isn’t based upon increasing the government’s power at the expense of America’s private sector and Americans’ personal liberty.
In a very profound sense President Obama, his Cabinet, and his Liberals represent an existential threat to our once great nation.
President Lincoln gave his address during the Civil War. America is currently in the midst of another civil war – albeit a largely bloodless one so far. What remains to be seen is whether Americans can prevail against Obama and his Liberals, or whether President Lincoln’s hallowed memory and America itself will be corrupted beyond all recognition and destroyed by the Statists led by messiah, Barack Obama.
Keep your eyes open. Travel light but load heavy, and always put another round in the enemy after they’re down. 😉

You could see it the other way. The reason we are in this mess is because of those before him… and those before him choose a majority of private sector. But I would not go back much father than the 70s – up until then I fear the integrity of the private sector as a bit different than it has become.

Actually, J.D.F, the char tops out at 60%, not 100%. Therefor only 5 of the last 19 (including Obama) Presidents had more Cabinet members from the private sector than they did from the public sector.
What is telling is the almost total lack of private sector Cabinet appointees by Obama, especially during an economic crisis. It’s horrifying to see a President who obviously hates Capitalism and the private sector attempt to rule America during such a crisis.
Remember, every crisis is an opportunity. With Obama in power the current crisis becomes an opportunity for him to vastly expand the federal government at the expense of Americans.

Obama would love to be the first dictator of America, and he’s just about there! He has to be stopped in the 2010 elections by balancing up Congress!

I don’t know that Obama wants to be the first Dictator of America per se; he seems to be not quite autocratic enough for those particular aspirations. More likely is that he just wants to create a pseudo-democracy based upon State-driven collectivism.

I recently posted (see link below) about the importance of having both private and public sector experience in government. My focus was on Timothy Geithner being completely out-negotiated by Wall Street, but there are many situations where having some real world business experience in the administration would be hugely valuable. However, it’s hard to see how the lack of private sector experience in Obama’s cabinet is a “direct attack on America.” Short-sighted, ill-advised, overly confident, yes, but an “existential threat?” I have a lot more faith in the American system and its resilience.

It’s an attack and a threat because it shows that Obama has no respect for the private sector. They have little choice, based upon their experience, but to put forth the government as the solution to the problems at hand – i.e. “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.”
Since that philosophy is directly contrary to- and antithetical to America, it’s an attack. It’s an existential threat because the government makes the laws and, if they so choose and we, the People allow it, overcome any resilience in the American business system.
