Hillary vs. Obama

Sen. Barack Obama, taking a more aggressive position in his sweeping campaign against Sen. Clinton, has discovered an effective technique for offsetting Hillary’s greater campaign warchest. He may not have income from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and China, but…

Sen. Clinton’s campaign staff and supporters have been thrown into disarray by Obama newfound effectiveness and dynamic behavior.

Don’t worry though, Hillary supporters – the $20 million she’s received from Wahabists in Saudi Arabia and Qatar will allow her to buy enough superdelegates to get the nomination. 😉

For me, I appreciate the fact that she doesn’t want to bomb my country, unlike Obama. No matter what, violence will create more problems. I don’t want Pakistan to become Iraq, so I truly appreciate her for that.

Ummm…Nabiha, I know what Hillary has said but her voting record has been in complete support of US intervention in the Mideast and Pakistan. Her supporters are also made up of a lot of defense contractors – so I wouldn’t pit too much stock in her statements.

  3. Nabiha Meher Shaikh Says:

Didn’t know that. Thanks for the info. I have no opinion any more 🙂

If you’re actually interested, please check into it. I’m rather rabidly anti-Clinton and my opinion should be vetted by independent research 😉

    Thank you, Christy!

It’s always more complicated than you think. You do make things a bit clearer for me always.

    Great cartoon and dog-picture!

  8. DIVAS Says:

What abt Dorris Lessing saying that Obama may be assassinated if elected!

  9. jonolan Says:

Welcome to Reflections From A Murky Pond, DIVAS.

I think that any President stands the risk of being assassinated. Hillary especially has at least as much of a chance of being shot down as Obama does.

The supposed fear of Obama being assassinated is just self-defeatist crap spewed by racist Blacks who are unwilling to have Obama nominated because it would interfere with their self pity.

If you ask me….all of the choices kind of make me crawl into a ball.

  11. jonolan Says:

I sadly admit that none of the candidates are ones that I can fully support. I wouldn’t go so far as to crawl into a ball, but I am going to be forced to seriously evaluate my priorities on a number of totally disparate issues when it comes to the general election.

There’s no question about the fact that I’m going to be unhappy with any of the outcomes. It’s going to come down to how dissatisfied I am and about what.

Could not have said it better myself, Jonolan. In fact, I may plagiarize if asked by others my current sentiments. ;p

It’s the same here in the Netherlands! I want to vote, I want to make my voice heard, but at the last elections I could have as well done it blindfold: I liked and trusted nobody!

    Christy,

Thank you and use any and all of my posts and comments freely.

    Aafke,

It a sad fact that every democracy in the developed / civilized world seems to suffer from that same problem. Strangely the US founding fathers warned of this two centuries ago.
