The canine community, realizing that neither the ASPCA nor PETA could provide proactive protection from thugs like Michael “Sick” Vick, has adopted their own countermeasures to some of the evils and risks of dogfighting:

I live with a four pound (fully grown) yorkshire terrior whose owner dresses her up quite frequently – I should let her owner know she can get a “knight in shining armor” get-up for her dog.

Where do I go to find a pet armourer?
I want armour like that for my future akc german shepherd and my future Appaloosan. Then I want matching armour for me like what Kate Blanchett was wearing at the end of Elizabeth II

Judging from the styling and quality of the armor I would suggest finding your local Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) group. They have many fine armorers who can make armor for you, and hopefully your dogs
We also do a fair amount of armored combat as well. You might like it.

I have been known to drop in at Ren Faires from time to time.
From what I can tell, if SCA could out fit me with those accoutrements. That is how I want to strut into a Faire some day.
