Revolt In Massachusetts

Posted in Politics on January 20th, 2010

There was a revolt, a revolution if you will, in Massachusetts this week and it ended in victory for the people of Massachusetts and even more so for we, the People of the United States of America. Republican Scott Brown defeated Democrat Martha Coakley in the January 19, 2010 special election to fill Ted Kennedy’s US Senate seat.

Both FOXNews and MSNBC confirm that Brown won 52% to 47% in an election with very high voter turnout, especially for a special election held in very inclimate weather.

Meet Senator Scott Brown (R-MA)

In his victory speech, Massachusetts’ newest US Senator, Scott Brown declared the following:

Tonight, the independent voice of Massachusetts has spoken. This Senate seat belongs to no one person, no one political party. … This is the people’s seat.

Given that registered Democrats 3:1 advantage over Republicans in the state (37% of registered voters are Democrats, 12% are Republicans) but fully 51% are unaffiliated / independent, Sen. Brown was right. The “independent voice” of Massachusetts has indeed spoken, and they have spoken against neo-Socialist agenda being furthered by the Democrats in Congress and the White House in the person of President Barack H. Obama.

Yes, there was a revolt of the People in Massachusetts and it will have both immediate and long-term consequences for the Liberals who currently try to rule America.

Nebraska Speaks Loudly

Posted in Politics on January 19th, 2010

Senator Ben Nelson (D- NE) - Newly loathed filth who likes being bribedAnyone who’s been keeping abreast of the ongoing march to inflict ObamaCare upon the people of America has, by now, heard of Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE). Sen. Nelson was the man that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid bribed in order to get the needed 60th vote to pass the Liberals’ Health Insurance Reconstruction bill.

What one might not realize is that Nebraskans are enraged at Sen. Nelson’s corruption, despite the fact that the Senator secured for Nebraska a perpetual exemption from paying into Medicare.

It seems that the Americans living in Nebraska are more concerned with Right and Wrong than with lining their own pockets or having the taxpayers in the other 49 states paying their way for them.

You may remember that Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson cast the decisive vote in favor of a government health care takeover after, of course, securing a bundle of money for his home state.

Now it appears that that did not win him any friends in conservative Nebraska. Politico.com reports that Thursday night he and his wife were booed out of an Omaha pizzeria by angry customers who apparently yelled things like, “Get him out of here!”

There may be no consequences in D.C., but it’s good to see that the good folks in the Midwest know how to hold their representatives accountable.

Hannity’s America
Monday, January 18, 2010

The above sums up the altercation quite well and concisely, but possibly a bit too concisely. Since that is the case, and it’s also a sad fact that many people living within America’s borders would automatically reject anything reported by Hannity in specific or Fox News in general, below is an earlier, more detailed account from Politico:

Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson and his wife were leaving dinner at a new pizza joint near their home in Omaha one night last week when a patron began complaining about Nelson’s decisive vote in favor of the Senate’s health care bill.

Other customers started booing. A woman yelled, “Get him the hell out of here!” And the Nelsons and their dining companions beat a hasty retreat.

“It was definitely a scene in there,” said Tom Lewis, a 41-year-old dentist and registered Republican who witnessed the incident. A second witness confirmed the incident to POLITICO.

It’s a new experience for Nelson.

He used to be a popular figure back home, a Democrat who served eight years in the governor’s office and was elected twice to the Senate by a state that’s as red as the “N” on the University of Nebraska’s football helmets.

But Nelson has seen his approval ratings tumble in the wake of his wavering over the historic health care bill, his deal-cutting with other Senate Democrats and, ultimately, his support to break a GOP filibuster and send the bill to a House-Senate conference committee.

This is how it should be. Corrupt filth like Nelson and any who work with, live with, or support him should be harried and harrassed any time they show their faces in public. They should be – indeed, for the sake of America, they need to be – pilloried and publicly reviled each and every day until Nelson resigns his Senate seat and flees the state of Nebraska.

In better times Nelson would have been covered in scalding tar, doused with feathers, strapped astride a fence rail, carried out of town, and told not to return under pain of death.

If Nelson is not forced to resign, Nebraska and America will have to suffer with his access to power until 2012 when he finally comes up for reelection. His seat is unfortunately not one of those being contested in the 2010 midterm elections.

But, on the growing bright side, the reaction of Americans in Nebraska to Nelson’s corruption and villainy is heartening. Keep it up, Cornhuskers!

Not Black, Purple

Posted in Politics on January 18th, 2010

The ranting Liberals and the wailing and jabbering minorities who serve as their political sharecroppers are ever-eager to shout that any problem that Americans have with President Obama and his agenda is based solely or largely upon racism – a term that they cannot even properly define. These enemies of America are, of course, wrong in the vast majority of instances. Very little of the opposition to America’s First Black President is based upon the race he identifies as being part of.

The vast bulk of the opposition to President Obama is that the majority of Americans – including a growing number of those duped into voting for him and now suffering well-deserved “buyer’s remorse” – is actually an opposition to his Leftist agenda that places the needs of his supporters, the labor union thugs, over those of Americans.

In a very sense it’s not that President Obama is Black; it’s that he’s Purple, SEIU Purple.

Obama: SEIU’s Agenda Is My Agenda

The Liberals and their minority tenants, with active and overt collusion of much of the MSM, elected an operative and organizer for SEIU and ACORN to the office of POTUS, and that’s exactly what was inflicted upon America – a hate-filled, filthy organizer for SEIU and ACORN, who has put their pernicious, destructive, anti-American, and vile agenda above the needs of the entire nation that he has been granted titular leadership of.

Obama: We Are Going To Paint The Nation Purple With SEIU

Yes, Americans are angered by President Obama’s union-driven attempt at a second Reconstruction of the United States. Since Americans would be equally outraged if a White POTUS did this, they’re not racists; they’re patriots seeking a way to end a threat to their nation.

Climategate Revisited

It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, so let’s revisit Climategate with that in mind.

epic fail pictures
Flawed or Fraudulent Climate Data – More Common Than You Think

This one picture is certainly worth more than the over 1,200 pages of words that comprise the destructive, anti-American Waxman-Markey Cap & Trade – read as Cap & Tax – bill that is currently stalled in Congress. 😉

But I suppose the bank in this picture and the Warmists could always blame their flawed climate data on good old Clippy.

Divine Retribution?

Posted in Politics, Religion, Society on January 16th, 2010

On January 12, 2010 at 4:53 PM EST a magnitude 7.0 earthquake happened 25 km (15 miles) WSW of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. The world is still unsure of the extent of the damage and the loss of life but all estimates agree that it was a horrendous disaster for the chronically and desperately impoverished nation of Haiti.

A few people believe that the quake was the result of divine retribution, the wrath of an angry God or Goddess. The statement by one of them, Pat Robertson, most people have had heard of. The other one, by Danny Glover, unsurprisingly has gotten a lot less publicity in the Main Stream Media (MSM).

Pat Robertson – They Made A Pact With The Devil

Pat Robertson’s response to the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, was the sort of thing that was sure to set off a storm of anger and condemnation. It was made worse by being delivered in the calm, patient, and paternal tones that Robertson is famous for using.

And, you know, Kristi, something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, “We will serve you if you will get us free from the French.” True story. And so, the devil said, “OK, it’s a deal.”

And they kicked the French out. You know, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free. But ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after the other. Desperately poor.

That’s Pat Robertson for you; in his mind every misfortune or catastrophe that has ever afflicted Man is the caused by the Wrath of God. I think he takes the old axiom, the wages of sin are death, utterly and completely literally.

Personally I think he’s insulting his God. From what I’ve read, Yahweh was good at retribution. Were these things His wrath, there’d have been far fewer survivors.

But here’s a very similar statement made by the actor, director, and now producer Danny Glover. He too believes that the earthquake that devastated Haiti was divine retribution. But, as a Warmist, his deity is more politically correct.

Danny Glover – You Know What I’m Sayin’?

You just have to laugh at Danny’s Glover’s jabbering, nonsensical response to Haiti’s calamity, finishing as it does with the ebonic ghettoism – would that be Negro Dialect? – of,  “You know what I’m saying?” – or should that be, “Yo nahemsane?” in the vernacular (mis)spelling?

When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?

— Danny Glover
January 14, 2010 GRITtv Interview

I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that Glover has enough intelligence and education to know that marginal warming or cooling of the planet does not cause earthquakes or any other form of seismic activity. That leaves the supposed “response” that Glover was speaking of an act of divine retribution.

So Mr. Glover believes that, because the Warmists’ neo-Socialist agenda at COP 15 in Copenhagen wasn’t achieved, the Earth or some deity representing her “punished” mankind by level Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince.

Gaea is the logical deity in question but, since it’s Danny Glover speaking and his ethnic background shouldn’t be discounted, it could be: Ane, Asase, Unkulunkulu, or possibly Ogun.

That belief seems ridiculous to me – and I assume to any rational person. Why would a God or Goddess devastate Haiti over the thankfully failed results of COP 15? Striking down America, Europe, or China would make more sense if Anthropogenic Global Warming was true and the Gods outraged by it.

~*~

So we have two individuals, both with access to the media, who have made similar statements about Haiti’s earthquake being a punishment and an act of divine retribution. Both statements were the sort that make the speakers and their causes look bad in the eyes of the general public. Yet, only one garnered any significant attention by the MSM.

There are some differences between Robertson’s and Glover’s statements. Robertson believes that Haiti was punished for its sins; Glover thinks they were punished for ours!

But the MSM is firmly committed to the dogma of Al Gore’s Warmist cult and likewise committed to President Obama and are ever unwholesomely and unethically eager to attack and marginalize anyone and anything that has ever stood in the way of or dissented from Obama’s agenda, Pat Roberson and which Christians in general have done.

Nobody could rationally expect them to fail to capitalize on Robertson’s idiocy or to report on Glover’s similar but less well-spoken stupidity.
