If You See Something…

Posted in Politics on August 4th, 2009

President Barack Obama looking angry and spitefulPresident Obama and his Liberals are very concerned about the mixed messages the American people are receiving about their plans to change the way healthcare is provided in America. They seem to have been hit hard by the recent videos on Naked Emperor News of Obama seemingly admitting to the AAHCA’s Public Option being a deliberate prelude to a Single Payer healthcare system.

Apparently the White House would very much like to streamline the messages that are presented to the public.

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

Isn’t that a rather chilling call to action from the White House? Calling for people to report emails or websites that disagree with President Obama’s position on healthcare goes directly against the grain of American values. In fact it raises the specter of nations and ideologies that America has actively warred against.

I’d like to believe that this is nothing more than President Obama and his staff trying to get some help with identifying various talking points to address and attempt to refute, but such a call to action coming from an already embattled regime strikes a disturbing chord in me.

I wonder how long it will be before some Liberal reports this blog to President Obama’s administration, an administration which includes the FCC and the DoJ?

Nazi Germany trained the Hitler Youth to report dissenters, even their parents, to the Gestapo. Soviet Russia had similar calls for the populace to self-monitor and report dissent to the KGB. Different but tangentially related, in America we have the counter-terrorism slogan of, “If you see something, say something.”

Having anything reminiscent of any of these things being applied to websites and personal communications or emails is something that should worry each and every American. Or are the Liberals now suddenly OK with the Patriot Act and similar things since they are in power for now?

A Forgotten Beginning

Posted in Politics on August 4th, 2009

As I predicted earlier when the imagery hit the national media, the Liberals are continuing to propagate the false idea that the posters of Obama as Keith Ledger’s Joker are an example the “rabid racism of the Far Right.”

Obama as The Joker - Socialism
Liberals rant that this is racist

It would be odd that the Liberals keep continuing this meme if it wasn’t for the fact that deriding any and all opposition to- or dislike of President Obama and his agenda as racist is a useful tactic, both politically and ideologically. It is essentially a mirror-image opposite reuse of the old meme of “Nigger Lover” that was used by bigots against White civil rights activists in the 1950s and 1960s.

From the Left Coast:

The poster, which bears a very superficial resemblance to Shepard Fairey’s famous Obama Hope illustration, has been pasted on freeway supports and other public surfaces. It has a bit of everything to appeal to the drunk tank of California conservatism: Obama is in white face, his mouth (like Ledger’s Joker’s) has been grotesquely slit wide open and the word “Socialism” appears below his face. The only thing missing is a noose.

LA Weekly

Sadly from one of the few Liberal bloggers that respect:

This is what it means to be a projective and paranoid neo-authoritarian American racist in the 21st century. And this is the response of the far right to the nation’s first African American president. No grace. No mercy. No decency. What a gross coarsening of the public realm. Absorb what this image means, its basic lack of civility, and the encouragement to Obama demonology that it fuels. Isn’t the cumulative logical effect of the far right’s response to Obama, assassination? And isn’t this how unbalanced people will interpret this kind of image? It’s a virtual Wanted poster, something you distribute to identify murderers. If Obama is a monster, then he must be stopped, right?

Prometheus Unbound

What these Liberals don’t want to ever mention or give anyone a reminder of is that this sort of cruel depiction of a US President is very much nothing new. Far worse and more insulting depictions were widely disseminated by Liberals over the last eight years. In point of fact, even depicting the President as the Joker, a homicidal, psychotic, clown-faced villain is nothing new in the cruel world of political imagery and cartoons.

Drew Friedman's President Bush as the Joker - published in Vanity Fair
This image drew no outrage from the Liberals

This image is the forgotten beginning of the meme or trope of portraying the President of the United States as The Joker. It was created by Drew Friedman, the author of The Fun Never Stops, Old Jewish Comedians, and More Old Jewish Comedians, and published by Vanity Fair in July, 2008.

There was nothing but chortling glee from the Liberals about this image. Similarly, the Liberals showed nothing but glee over these depictions of President George W. Bush:

Again – the Liberals’ and their minority tenants’  gambit of crying ‘Racism” over any dissent to Obama’s rule is small-minded, tired, and shows an inherent racism, ethno-guiltism, and insecurity on the part of the Liberals who favor using it. It’s a divisive tactic that underlines their fixation upon President Obama’s racial self-identification.

Quite The Joker

Plastered to various surfaces in the Los Angeles, CA, area is a new poster that stands outs out from rest. It’s a poster of Pres. Obama made up like Keith Ledger’s amazing redefinition of The Joker with the simple legend, “Socialism,” underneath it.

Obama as The Joker - Socialism
Do I really look like a guy with a plan?

Not surprisingly, the followers of Obama’s and the Left cannot describe this imagery as Pres. Obama as The Joker; they have to paint it in racist terms by describing it as America’s Black President in White Face.

The Joker white-face imposed on Obama’s visage has a sort of malicious, racist, Jim Crow quality to it that prompts us to ask, as Stephen Colbert puts it, “vomit, come on up.”

Bedlam Magazine

This poster is new to the national media so there’s been few responses so far. Expect that number to rapidly change, if not the nature of those response. The current strategy, deliberate or unconscious, of the Liberals is to portray anyone who criticizes Pres. Obama as a racist. It’s a useful political strategy, and a necessary one to use when you have few compelling counter-arguments to the dissent.

Take part in a Tea Party and you’re a racist; Have concerns over Pres. Obama’s birth certificate and/or his response to those questions and you’re a racist. Disapprove of anything that Pres. Obama is trying to do to America and…you’re a racist.

This gambit of crying ‘Racism” over any dissent to Obama’s rule is small-minded, tired, and shows an inherent racism, ethno-guiltism, and insecurity on the part of the Liberals who favor using it. It’s a divisive tactic that underlines their fixation upon President Obama’s racial self-identification.

And let’s not delve too deeply into the old adage, “We’ve done the time, we might as well do the crime”

Reaching An Agreement

Posted in Humor, The Environment on August 2nd, 2009

In an odd twist of fate, either engendered by Divine Providence or Random Chance, the extreme apocalyptic views of Religion and Science are finally in agreement.

Science & Religion Agree; the End is Near!
Repent! The End is Near!

Lo! And the seas shall boil and the skies shall burn, and the grass will be parched and a third of the trees laid waste! And this will happen at 10:00AM, twice on Saturdays!

Repent now, you sinners steeped in depravity – or a Developed Nation’s prosperity – lest God or Al Gore smite you.

I wonder how long it will be before the Warmists develop their own version of the Rapture? I suppose that will have to wait until we have better spaceflight though. 😉

ObamaCare Metaphor

Posted in Politics on August 1st, 2009

On Thursday, July 20, 2009, President Obama held what has been referred to as the “Beer Summit” in the in the Rose Garden of the White House. The President hosted Officer James Crowley of the Cambridge Police Dept. and Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. of Harvard University at the White House for a beer and a bit of conversation.

Since some idiots seem to care, Pres. Obama drank Bud Light, Officer Crowley drank Blue Moon, and Prof. Gates drank red Stripe – none of which are brewed by wholly American-own breweries.

Whatever value the tĂȘte-Ă -tĂȘte had in the context of race relations and racial reconciliation remains to be seen, as does whatever value it may have in smoothing over Pres. Obama’s earlier “racial charged” stupidity.

All that aside, the “Beer Summit” was a Public Relations and Propaganda – yes;  irrespective of who’s in office, almost anything officially released to the media by the White House is propaganda – failure that affects an unrelated and far greater issue – the healthcare debate and the Liberals’ America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 (AAHCA).

Obamacare Metaphor - It's not pretty
A Metaphor for ObamaCare

The young, healthy Black man walks ahead proudly, never looking back, as the middle-class White Man helps the Aged and Infirm Black Man down the steps. That is not a pretty picture, but is a picture that sums up one of the opposition’s views in the healthcare debate.
