Artemis Is Expensive
In the approximately 69 years Mankind has had a space program, 19 people have died in direct spaceflight incidents, and some number more have perished in related activities. Beyond that, hundreds of animals – including monkeys, dogs, mice, and rats – have also been sacrificed in our quest for the stars.
So yeah, when fully weighted, Artemis is expensive. I just hope it’s worth the cost in blood and treasure.
