Double Coyote Ugly

Posted in Humor, Politics, Technology, The Environment on December 18th, 2013

As most know, politics makes for strange bedfellows, especially with the intersection of business interests and political careers. It’s often odd, commonly disgusting, but sometimes it’s downright self-destructive.

A Case in point would be Obama’s Energy Secretary Steven Chu’s chronic and apparently uncontrollable addiction to “Green” energy systems

Chu Coyote Ugly
Oh, Christ, What The Hell Did I Do Last Night?

I swear he’s worse in some ways than Anthony Weiner. At least, to our knowledge, Weiner wasn’t paying for it and certainly wasn’t paying for it with our money.

WASHINGTON—Sources have reported that following a long night of carousing at a series of D.C. watering holes, Energy Secretary Steven Chu awoke Thursday morning to find himself sleeping next to a giant solar panel he had met the previous evening. “Oh, Christ, what the hell did I do last night?” Chu is said to have muttered to himself while clutching his aching head and grimacing at the partially blanketed 18-square-foot photovoltaic solar module whose manufacturer he was reportedly unable to recall.

We’re talking some serious coyote ugly here. The truly sad part is that we’re also talking about an odd and sad twist to the phrase, “Double Coyote Ugly,” since it’s anyone’s guess which one them would be more likely to want to gnaw their own limb off in order to escape that bed without waking the other. 😉

Important Conversions

Posted in Humor, Technology on April 26th, 2013

Science and technology, especially engineering require precise and specific measurements for the important sake of accurately completing necessary mathematical calculations. These are esoteric and often insular disciplines however, and many of these measurements and their more important conversions are not well known outside of the circles of engineering.

  • The ratio of an igloo’s circumference to its diameter = eskimo pie
  • 2,000 lbs of Chinese soup = won ton
  • 1 millionth of a mouthwash  = 1 microscope
  • The time between slipping on a peel and hitting the pavement = 1 bananosecond
  • Weight an evangelist carries with God = 1 billigram
  • Time it takes to sail 220 yards at 1 nautical mile / hour = knotfurlong
  • 365.25 days of drinking low-calorie beer = 1 lite year
  • 16.5 feet in the Twilight Zone = 1 Rod Serling
  • 1/2 of a large intestine = 1 semicolon
  • 1,000,000 aches = 1 megahurtz
  • Basic unit of laryngitis = 1 hoarsepower
  • Shortest distance between two jokes = a straight line
  • 2,000 mockingbirds = 2 killomockingbird
  • 1 kilogram of falling figs = 1 fig newton
  • 1,000cc of wet socks = 1 literhosen
  • 8 nickels = 2 paradigms

Enjoy and remember that, by any measure, humor converts to reduction in stress and the clearing of the mind.

Claim The High Seat

The Great Houses are arrayed and truly they do and shall vie with one another for supremacy.

Who Shall Claim The High Seat?

But which House shall hold the highest of thrones, or will this all end with dust or snow blowing across a vast field of graves?

#TGDN Scares #Liberals

Posted in Politics, Technology on January 22nd, 2013

Various Liberals and Progressives on Twitter regularly worked together to silence and remove Americans from that particular social network by flagging them as “spammers” and misusing Twitter’s fully automated spam blocking system to have those Americans’ accounts suspended. This led to the creation of the Twitter Gulag Defense Network (#TGDN) and that scares the runny, stinking shit out of the Liberals and Progressives.

TGDN v. Libtards
Do Not Engage #TGDN Accounts!

Two things to always remember about Liberals and Progressives: they hate it when they can’t use numbers to bring down an inherently greater and better man or woman, and they go absolutely mad when their own preferred tactics are used against them.

It’s ironic that this Zach Green character, a Liberal, advocates segregation as the solution to a group he finds inimical to his own. I thought that they were against that. 😆

I’ll take the victory, lackluster as it is, though. If our domestic enemies refuse to engage, they cannot silence us and have effectively retired in defeat. They can rant and carp to each other to what passes for their hearts’ content and it’ll mean nothing as long as Americans continue to speak truth and patriotism wherever we choose to travel on the web.

Energy Then And Now

Posted in Politics, Society, Technology on October 13th, 2012

Once, America was an energy powerhouse. Coal, oil, natural gas, hydroelectric power, and later, nuclear power generation brought reasonably priced energy to our people, spurring a lasting economic pace that reshaped and bettered the whole world. Then the Leftists emerged and systematically attacked all parts of the system and America’s energy resources were, one by one, made unnecessarily costly and difficult to bring to we, the People.

Energy Then And Now
Energy Then And Now

And just what do these jabbering Leftists have to replace America’s tried and true means of energy production? To-date all they have are drug-fueled fantasies and delusions stemming from the cognitive inability to differentiate between science-fiction and science-fact.

This is fact. Wind, solar, and geothermal power, along with the various alternative fuels are not ready for the market and none of them can survive as commercial concerns on their own merits. In many cases even extreme levels of government subsidies and tax breaks aren’t enough to ensure their commercial viability. Additionally, many of these means of harnessing energy by non-standard means have negative consequences that haven’t been nearly well enough researched or mitigated as of yet.

Of course, the Leftists, especially the Eco-Left elements, don’t care about that. If anything, they view these failings as positive things since their agenda is more about destroying America as it is and rebuilding it as something fundamentally different than about solving for America’s energy issues.

Global Sustainability requires the deliberate quest of poverty, reduced resource consumption and set levels of mortality control.

That’s a large part of why they rejected Energy Independence in favor of Global Warming as a platform to work with in order to reach their goals. Their goals had and continue to have little or nothing to do with solving the energy / fuel situation.

NOTE: None of the above should be construed as my saying that new forms of energy production shouldn’t be researched or that our government shouldn’t help fund that research. I’m completely in favor of both research and government help with funding that research.
