Reflections From a Murky Pond

Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Bob Casey (D-PA) don’t like when the wealthy flee the United States in order to shield their wealth from government confiscation. So they’re planning on introducing their “quaintly” named Ex-PATRIOT Act to ensure that such individuals must leave a large portion of their wealth behind when they flee.

I guess that, in the minds of the Democrats, the wealthy are the new Jews. They must be because Mankind has seen this before. It was the Reichsfluchtsteuer, the Reich flight tax, that the Nazis imposed on Jews trying to flee Germany in the 1930s. It was set at 25% of assets but, not to be outdone, Schumer and Casey set Reichsfluchtsteuer 2.0 at 30%.

Social Democrat, National Socialist, or Democratic Socialist, it’s all the same. All movements and parties of this sort need scapegoats and take the same actions against them.

Funny, I thought that when Fascism came to America it was supposed to do so wrapped in the American flag and carrying a Cross and/or, possibly whistling the “Star Spangled Banner.” I guess I, and a number of others, were wrong. Fascism is going to come to America exactly as it did to Weimar Germany in the 1930s.

One of the biggest problems that face evil overlords, whether they be The Empire or Apple, is labor. It’s hard, though not impossible, to find good help these days, as Apple’s iTrooper certainly proves.

These Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For

The ever gullible iTrooper, well-compensated but poorly trained and inflexible, falls for the Jedi mind trick every time. These just must not be the droids he’s looking for.

On the other hand, these are the droids you’re looking for, as is this one.

As signs of catestrophic anthropogenic global warming – or whatever the eco-Leftist are currently trying to re-brand it as – keep failing to appear and more and more actual science, as opposed to willful fraud, surfaces, it’s looking a lot like the Warmists are out of ideas of how to promulgate the doctrine and dogma of Al Gore’s doomsday cult.

Suggestions? …Bueller…Bueller?

At this point in history, having beggared credulity and staining the already tarnished reputation of what passes for science these days, I don’t even think “crowd sourcing” will help the Warmists. 😉

I’m quite happy to say the days of people lending credence to Cryptoclimatology are over. Their search for Hotfoot has turned up little or nothing that is believable.

Obama, his handlers, and his cultists have been attacking GOP Presidential Nominee, Mitt Romney over his time with Bain Capital. As is usual for the Left, they continue to attack Romney because he was a successful businessman, something that Obama has never been even close to being.

Bain or Bane – Choose Wisely In November

Americans have a choice in November. We can support Mitt Romney with his strong background in turning around failing businesses and saving what could be saved, or we can let the Liberals reinstall Obama to the Presidency and allow him to continue to drive America’s economy off a cliff.

It is our choice, not that of the Liberals, Progressives, or their minority tenants’ who will decide the immediate future of the United States of America. Will it be Bain or Bane?

When dealing with activists of any stripe, be it racial, gender, sexuality, or a pet cause, be aware of one simple thing – They will almost invariably speak their subcultural allegiance first and the truth second if at all. This is a negative trait that is self-reinforcing because all of these causes preach a form of orthodoxy that requires such relegation of the truth to, at most, secondary standing as a metric of “authenticity” on the activists’ parts.

What this means for us is that, due to the activists’ mental and ethical deformity and the constant reinforcement of that deformity, they can rarely, if ever at all, be reasoned with. In some extreme cases, elder Black and Feminist demagogues being the most common example, you can’t even placate them because the war they have created in their minds is an end in itself and they couldn’t – not wouldn’t – recognize victory even if they achieved it.

Remember, since the truth is less than important to them than solidarity and orthodoxy in their cause, these activists and their core followers cannot be reasoned with. As such, there is no point or purpose in engaging with them. It is better and saner to either ignore them or silence them through denying them a venue and audience, through ridicule, or through applied targeted force in the most extreme cases.
