Obama: He Won’t Run

Here’s a very interesting 2004 CNN interview with Barack Obama. Obama was very open and candid about what he feels a political candidate should know and do before considering running for office on a national ticket.

I’m guessing that the Obama Campaign is not going to be happy that this video is now getting digital air time via YouTube. When your opposition – both John McCain and Hillary Clinton – have been repeating the accusation that Obama is “Not Ready To Lead,” it’s got to be painful for his campaign staff that Obama himself said he couldn’t be ready in 2008 and wouldn’t be comfortable trying to become ready.

One Word: Ouch!

Saw this when you first posted and revisited to review. Video is no longer available.

On a related aside, this election is finally getting interesting the last couple of weeks. I’ve been following it since the very beginnings. I wonder just how soon the next campaign is going to start for 2012. A month after the inauguration ceremony? Sheesh. I love politics, but come on. πŸ™‚

Strangely, I’m not surprised that the video was pulled from YouTube. πŸ™ I’ll see about finding another version.

Updated 09/08/08: OK, I found another version of the video, but I don’t know how long it will be before YouTube pulls this one as well.
