Reflections From a Murky Pond

‘Tis Christmas, and we’d all like to celebrate and spend time with our families and loved ones. But we can’t forget that there are grinches out there who have neither families nor loved ones and who harbor nothing but envy and hatred for the American people, who do. We must remember that these Grinches would like to steal all that we have and aspire to, including Christmas.

Just as George Washington and the patriots of the Continental Army set aside their celebrations 242 years ago this night, modern patriots must be ready, willing, able, and equipped to do whatever is necessary to defend our nation and our people from these domestic enemies, who are far worse than any Hessians ever were.

Well Damn! I guess that old adage about broken clock is more right than I thought. The Dems’ next-wave crazy, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez actually said some both correct and not for once antithetical to American people’s sensibilities.

Because yes, it IS completely unacceptable that members of Congress can force a government shutdown on partisan lines and then have Congressional salaries exempt from the consequences of that decision.

As the results of- and the Dems’ petty, utterly graceless, and insulting responses to the elections in both Florida and Georgia show, the Dems, especially the anti-White, race-baiting Blacks they come up with as candidates, will say and do anything to attack the process and the will of the voters, who rejected these sub-par individuals.

Both Gillum and Abrams claimed that they didn’t really lose and the that the results were because the elections were stolen from them via some combination of election fraud, voter suppression, and – of course, given these candidates – racism.  And, as expected in these times, they spent the next couple of weeks engaging in bemoaning the “theft” and engaging in lawfare – and outright election fraud – against the victors and the People, who rejected these candidates as unworthy of office.

Sufficient incompetence is indistinguishable from corruption, fraud, or malice. This is especially true of the recently ousted Broward County Supervisor of Elections, Brenda Snipes. There’s comes a point where incompetence and malice are distinctions without a difference.

I waited a bit before commenting on the 2018 mid-term elections, partly to give a chance for more state-level results to be made easily available and partly to give myself a chance to see what the consensus fall out was. It was worth the wait because the fall out was both unexpected.

The Left’s Lament

The Left’s party of choice, the Democrats flip the House by a small margin, gained a few Governorships, but lost ground in the Senate. And yet, most of them seem pretty damn angry about the results and feel that they lost, in that they didn’t get their “Blue Wave” or their “fair share” of elected offices across our country.

Essentially, these sorts are ranting because the Democrats overall received more raw, ballots across the nation than the GOP did. Hence, they believe that they should have been given more seats in the Senate, irrespective of the fact that each Seat’s election is a standalone item and not impacted by other election results.  Yes, that is correct. They’re whining because their people, concentrated in a relatively few urban areas, didn’t get to dictate how other people’s elections went.

Of course, this is exactly the sort of hysterical and quasi-mindless lamentations one can expect from a group of people who have:

1. Voluntarily segregated and isolated themselves into a small number of “geographically challenged” of “safe spaces”;
2. Believe that their desires and perceived needs are those of the entirety of the country – except for those deplorable racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, bigoted Fascists in “Fly Over Country;”
3. Are only concerned with “minority rights” when said minority isn’t White people – who are, of course, deplorable racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, bigoted Fascists.

Yeah, I guess it sucks for them and to be them. Even when they score some level and form of victory, they lament instead of rejoice because nothing short of their total victory over the American people will suffice.
