Reflections From a Murky Pond

OK, as all students of real and accurate American history know, Big Labor, i.e., labor unions, have always had a complex and often antagonistic relationship with Blacks. This has changed little over the last century. The only change has been the unions choosing to catch wayward Blacks and keep them on the unions’ plantations rather than clubbing them down in streets as they used to do.

But oh how the unions hate it when the Blacks leave the plantation. How dare those “uppity niggers” accept monies from individuals that the unions and their paid-for politicians fear and loath such as the Koch brothers.

A powerful government workers’ union will end its support for the United Negro College Fund after the group accepted $25 million from the conservative powerhouse Koch brothers and the college fund’s president appeared at a Koch event.

In a letter made public Thursday, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees said it will no longer partner with or raise funds for the fund, known for its iconic motto, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

Naturally, the AFSCME’s President, Lee Saunders wasn’t satisfied with merely refusing to further support the United Negro College Fund. He also had to take UNCF’s President and CEO, Dr. Michael Lomax to task for his uppitiness.

AFSCME President Lee Saunders said the actions of the college fund’s president “are not only deeply hostile to the rights and dignity of public employees, but also a profound betrayal of the ideals of the civil rights movement.”

Saunders’ may be too politically correct and savvy to speak frankly, but there’s no real doubt that his personal attack upon Lomax was anything but a dog-whistle for “Oreo,” “Uncle Tom,” “Sell-Out,” and/or “Race Traitor.” It’s pretty obvious that Saunders and the AFSCME can’t abide by Blacks who aren’t beholden to them.

Of course, the funny side of this is that Saunders and the AFSCME don’t have much of a whip to crack over the backs of the UNCF. They’ve donated between $50,000 and $60,000 annually to the UNCF for its AFSCME/UNCF Union Scholar Program over the last 11 years and the Koch Brothers just gave the UNCF $25,000,000 – 38 times that total amount.

Many people in America think that Obama is a Muslim. Others, mostly his supporters, refute such claims. But, irrespective of the details of Obama’s personal theology, there is no denying that the boy is very sympathetic to Islam, both within America’s borders and across the globe.

In point of fact, Islam is the only religion that Obama has shown any sympathy towards. All other religions, especially the normative Christian sects in America, he seems to hold in disdain.

This is something that the Muslims within America’s borders have taken not of. By a significantly larger margin than any other religion – even the Atheists – Muslims approve of Obama being the POTUS.

Whether or not Obama is actually a Muslim, he’s certainly the Muslims’ President, which raises some serious questions. Can someone who has garnered so much support from Islam’s adherents be trusted to side with America against the Islamists, or is the Muslims’ supporting and approving of Obama one more piece of evidence that the boy is a clear and present danger to America?

With the Caliphate being rebuilt and ISIS vowing to attack American soil, these are questions that can’t wait to be answered and any remedies decided upon must be enacted swiftly and surely.

Lamestream Media: Israel Attacks!

After 100’s of rockets were fired at Israeli civilian targets Israel finally decided that enough is enough and launched a counteract meant to cull the Muslim terrorist of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Of course, all you’ll hear from the ever-antisemitic Lamestream Media is about Israel’s attack, little or nothing about the ongoing Muslim terrorism that provoked it.

Frankly, it has become more and more apparent that the Lamestream Media won’t be satisfied until Israel is returned to it’s 1947 borders.

America, as a society, has fallen into the trap of drastically lowered expectations. We make heroes out those who merely do what should be expected of them and go to great lengths lauding what is normal or, at least, what should be considered the normal, baseline behavior for ourselves and our fellow citizens.

We praise and reward young minorities who come from the ghettos and barrios for simply doing what other kids do every day without praise. Americans literally treat them as heroes if they go to school, don’t join gangs, stay away from drugs, and/or refrain from siring or bearing bastard children of their own.

We certainly don’t similarly praise or reward the vast, normal majority of our youths for such behavior. Instead a large segment of society claims that they unworthy of praise, or even the fruits of the labor, because they are somehow privileged.

Personally, I can think of few greater injustices than lowering the expectations of a culture to the point where we glorify those members of that culture that behave in a manner that we demand from our own.

Liberals and Progressives – and their preferred minority tenants – just love to draw equivalencies between unrelated things in their culture war against America and long-held American values. On of the Left’s most recent attacks has been conducted through social media platforms against Holly Fisher, who I’ve previously featured here.

Explain The Difference

Yes, that is correct. America’s domestic enemies are claiming that there’s a direct equivalency between Holly Fisher, a devoted Christian wife of an American soldier and Sherafiyah Lewthwaite, one of the world’s most wanted Muslim terrorists.

Let’s not, however, forget that equivalency or the claims thereof are by their very nature a two-way street…

Explain The Difference

If the composition of an image, combined with vague and gross similarities in context are to be the metric for equivalency, then the Liberals and Progressives had better explain the difference between civil rights marches and those of the Klu Klux Klan.
