The Modern Housewife

Posted in Humor, Society on July 23rd, 2014

A lot of people will want you to believe that, when it comes to maintaining the family home and home life, things are very, very different from how they were in the 1950s. This is, by and large, a falsehood. The basic rules of “housewifery” have not changed in the least.

True, the intervening decades and shifts in what is and isn’t tolerable behavior have changed the methodologies by which a housewife can achieve her goals…

The Modern Housewife

Ok, Gentlemen; I know that, while a lot of you are laughing right, in the back your minds you’re saying, “Oh Hell no! There’s no way that my wife will ever being doing that!” I think that perhaps – just perhaps – you need to take a breath and really think about this again.

  • Firstly, all those chores that she does to make your house a home you want to come to at the end of the day got done.
  • Secondly, rather than spending money on getting the chores done, the Domme wife made money getting them done. As the average rate she would make is between $100 – $150 / hr, this is a significant boost to your family’s income.
  • Thirdly, rather than risking feeling lessened or subservient for being the housewife, this allows her to actually feel confident and empowered through being one.

And don’t worry about, in this day of dual-income households, of being asked what your wife does for a living. You can just smile and say that she’s a “personal trainer.” 😆

Hamas’ Rubicon

Posted in Politics on July 23rd, 2014

Just another Muslim terrorist with Qur'anIn all conflicts there comes a point when one side or the other has to either “Cross the Rubicon” or stop. In the ongoing was of the Muslims against the Jews and Christians of Israel Hamas has, perhaps unknowingly, crossed the Rubicon and has quite likely past the point of no return.

The Palestinians in Gaza have launched too many rockets, dug too many terror tunnels, and wantonly used too many “innocent” children as human shields, and refused and/broke too many cease fires for even the United Nations, once their staunch ally against Israel, to support them.

This is a significant change in position for the UN and it’s shocking to hear Secretary General Ban Ki-moon speak so openly against Hamas, whom he and the rest of the UN have previously always supported in their war against Israel and all the non-Muslims therein.

Mr. Prime Minister, thank you again for your warm welcome. It’s always a pleasure to visit, for me, Israel. But this time I am standing with a very heavy, heavy heart. As we speak, rockets from Hamas and Islamic Jihad continue to be fired on Israel. I have just seen myself, with the Prime Minister, all kinds of rockets fired by Hamas onto the heads of these people and neighborhoods of where many people are living. This is quite shocking. And I have seen all these photos and videos and evidences myself. The United Nations’ position is clear: we condemn strongly the rocket attacks.

These must stop immediately. We condemn the use of civilian sites, schools, hospitals and other civilian facilities for military purposes. Your country won’t accept rockets raining down on its territory. And all countries and parties have an international obligation to protect civilians. I extend my deep condolences to the Prime Minister and to the people of Israel on the fatalities from the recent escalation. We’ll not forget the killing and abduction of Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaer and Naftaly Frankel. I was deeply moved by the words of Rachel Frankel as she buried her own son. I quote: “We will learn to sing without you,” she said. “We will always hear your voice in our hearts.” And she went on to reach out to the family of Muhammad abu Khdeir, the 16-year-old boy burned alive simply because of who he was. Mrs. Frankel said, I quote: “No mother or father should ever have to go through what we are going through, and we share the pain of Muhammad’s parents.” End quote. It is that spirit of shared anguish, humanity and hope that calls me here. Too many Palestinian and Israeli mothers are burying their children. We owe it to their sacrifice and to Israeli and Palestinian aspirations for peace, to intensify efforts to find a solution.

Over the last three days I have met with the leadership in Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt. I met President Abbas in Qatar and US Secretary of State, John Kerry, in Cairo yesterday. This is all part of a concerted international effort for urgent action. My message to Israelis and Palestinians is the same: Stop fighting! Start talking and take on the root causes of the conflict so we are not back to the same situation in another six months or a year. We must address these underline issues, including mutual recognition, occupation, despair and denial of dignity, so people do not feel they have to resort to violence as a means of expressing their grievances. Military actions will not increase Israel’s stability and security in the longer time. I fully share and appreciate the legitimacy, the security concerns and right to defend your country and citizens. Israel is a democratic strong country, and I urge you to demonstrate fortitude by exercising maximum restraint. Recovery and reconstruction work is more needed than ever. Governance issues must be addressed by one legitimate Palestinian government adhering to the PLO commitment – non-violence, recognition of Israel and respect for previous agreements. The United nations will continue to support these efforts.

— UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon
Tel Aviv, Israel, July 22, 2014

True, Ban Ki-moon’s statement wasn’t uncontaminated by both digs at Israel and calls for them to continue to show amazing and unwarranted restraint in their efforts to defend their people from the Muslims in Gaza. Still, it was the starkest and sternest rebuke of Hamas that the UN, long-infiltrated by the OIC, has ever made.

One thing to note, however – this will not be publicized by the MSM. It does not fit with their ongoing antisemitic rhetoric or their slavish support for Muslim terrorism. If the West’s MSM made the shift in UN opinion known, they’d alienate the Liberals and Progressives who make up the bulk of their viewership and/or readership.

The Carboniferous Ends?

Posted in Politics, The Environment on July 21st, 2014

A cooling world covered in snowChange is unavoidable. All epochs, periods, eras, and ages come to an end. Just as 360 million years ago the Carboniferous period ended, so too does it seem as if the New Carboniferous period – notable for its fixation upon CO2 – has come to a not-untimely end.

Then, this was never a sustainable era due to its chilling effects upon economies.

The ending of the New Carboniferous period will likely be dated from the moment that the Australian Government has abolished the carbon tax it had imposed in mid-2012.

Australia’s recent vote to repeal its tax on carbon dioxide emissions is a setback to establishing a similar charge in the U.S., both sides in the debate agree.

Australia started taxing carbon in 2012, one of about 40 jurisdictions to do so, before reversing course last week and becoming the first country to repeal the penalty.

The repeal will send international shock waves ahead of Global Warming talks next year, when major economies like China, India and America will consider global greenhouse targets beyond 2030. Given that Australia is similar to America in its energy-intensive lifestyles and industries, the repeal makes it highly unlikely that the US will choose to try taxes CO2 emissions.

The Warmists are, of course, gnashing their teeth in shock, outrage, and hatred over Australia’s repeal of the its carbon tax. Like the giant arthropods of the first Carboniferous period, they’re doomed to extinction. Unlike them, however, they can see the ending of the age and of themselves.

Illegal Electioneering?

Posted in 2014 Election on July 19th, 2014

Obama as The Joker - SocialismIs it merely coincidence that the Obama Regime is moving the illegal immigrants flooding through America’s southern “border” to, and only to, areas – if one listens to what his media reports upon – of the country where the Latino vote could swing the results of the upcoming 2014 elections? Or is this a deliberate attempt by the Obama Regime to politically profiteer off of the misery and fear of these illegal aliens, the current majority being unaccompanied children who’ve been sent to the US alone to avoid conflict in Central and South America? We don’t, after all, hear about them being moved to camps in vulnerable Blue states.

This has been billed as a crisis and we all know that the Obama Regime is quasi-religious about not letting a crisis go to waste if they can manipulate the perception of it to their benefit. Then again, it might be nothing more than coincidence based upon available camps to house these people and personnel to deal with them.

Which do you think? Coincidence or a cynical attempt to use these illegals for electioneering purposes?

Big Brutha Will Speak

Posted in 2014 Election, 2016 Election, Politics on July 19th, 2014

Orwell's Big Brother - Or is that Big Brutha in Obama's case?
B-B! …. B-B! …. B-B! Mmm, Mmm, Mmm! B-B! …. B-B! …. B-B!

Yes. I can easily picture Obama wanting to take over the airwaves and leading his faithful cultists in “Two Minutes Hate.” The boy does bear a resemblance to George Orwell’s Big Brother in 1984, though I suppose, in Obama’s case, we’d have to call him Big Brutha. What I couldn’t picture was his being able to do so…until now.

Now, Obama’s appointees in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is looking to overhaul the Emergency Alert System so the POTUS can speak to the country at a mere flip of a switch if he feels it’s a national emergency. And, as this is regulation not law, in approximately 30 days this overhaul will happen since the Obama Regime is not known for its bowing to public pressure or comments.

At first glance this seems to be an innocuous addition to Presidential powers. It even, if one doesn’t think too much about it, seems wise and practical to set things up so that, with a push of a button, the POTUS can takeover all of the nations broadcast media in order to speak to the people in the event of any emergency. But what possible emergency could develop that necessitated the POTUS addressing the entirety of the nation with such urgency that he couldn’t abide by- and stay within the normal channels and procedures for doing so? We have successfully navigated two world wars, numerous other armed conflicts, Muslim terrorist attacks, and countless natural disasters and disruptions without any POTUS having to coop the airways by fiat.

And just what would Obama consider a national emergency? As is always the case with any regulations put forth by his appointees in the Executive, it’s left to his discretion. Does the RNC qualify? The Tea Party? Rush Limbaugh? Yet another SCOTUS ruling on Obama’s criminality? Too many States opting out of ObamaCare? Something that Fox News broadcast that Obama doesn’t like and wants to rebut? Will it just be a “comforting” message that he and his are OK in the event of some disaster?

And, what would some future POTUS consider such an emergency to be? Even if Obama doesn’t abuse and misuse this privilege that he’s claiming for himself, it seems far too likely that a future POTUS, possibly as soon as 2016 depending upon who is elected or installed, will do exactly that. Do we, the People really want Big Brother or Big Sister on every TV and radio in the land?
