Reflections From a Murky Pond

Some disasters, due to the damage they wreak upon people and the shock the societal consciousness they cause, are fated for lasting fame or infamy. Two such horrific disasters that come quickly to mind are the Hindenburg and ObamaCare…

Oh, The Humanity

If Herb Morrison were still alive he could fairly reprise his famous commentary.

It’s a terrific crash, ladies and gentlemen. It’s smoke, and it’s flames now … and the frame is crashing to the ground, not quite to the mooring-mast. Oh, the humanity and all the patients screaming around here. I told you, I can’t even talk to people whose friends are on there. Ah! It’s–it’s–it’s–it’s … o–ohhh! I–I can’t talk, ladies and gentlemen. Honest, it’s just laying there, a mass of smoking wreckage. Ah! And everybody can hardly breathe and talk, and the screaming. Lady, I–I’m sorry. Honest: I–I can hardly breathe. I–I’m going to step inside where I cannot see it. Charlie, that’s terrible. Ah, ah—I can’t. I, listen, folks, I–I’m gonna have to stop for a minute because I’ve lost my voice. This is the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed.

The Hindenburg disaster in 1937, along with political and economic issues, hastened the demise of the Zeppelins. One can reasonably assume that the ObamaCare disaster in 2013 and ongoing, along with political and economic issues, will similarly hasten the demise of Obama and many Liberal politicians or, at the very least, leave their legacies permanently tarnished and infamous.

The similarities between the disastrous and failed roll-out of ObamaCare and the Hindenburg disaster are, however, limited. The Hindenburg was a short, sharp disaster and largely acute in nature; it happened and then it was over. ObamaCare is a more lasting disaster, one which we’ve only seen the initial damages from. In this sense it is more akin to the 1989 tire dump fire in Heyope, Wales which burnt, spewing toxins, for over 15 years.

The other and more horrific difference is that the loss of lives and livelihoods caused by ObamaCare will far outstrip either the Hindenburg disaster or the Heyope tire fire. In the end, if left unchecked, the ObamaCare disaster’s toll in lives and livelihoods will likely only be matched, if that, by the Holocaust.

It’s bound to happen that some people will draw comparisons and, in the case of Liberals, Progressives, and the minority sharecroppers beholden to them for hand-outs, false equivalencies. It should, however, be noted that Governor Cristie’s claims of ignorance over his singular “Bridgegate” scandal pales in comparison to Obama’s laundry list of scandals and should-be scandals.

Of course, my snarky reference to an old schoolyard chant is pretty inaccurate as well. Christie’s not built for really tree climbing and Obama has a natural fear of tree limbs since he’s rightfully afraid that he’ll end up hanging from one. 😉

Sometimes you find an image that, at first glance, seems worth far more than 1000 words of truth. Sadly, sometimes you look at it again and find that the overt truth is being used to cover a disgusting lie or, at the very least, something so very unlikely as to be safely relegated to the realm of fantasy or delusional optimism.

Indoctrinate Then Early And Obedience Is Assured

Given the sorry state of public schools and the nature of the rank and file of the various teachers unions, can any American honestly be expected to believe that a teacher would “facepalm” instead smiling upon seeing and hearing their students pledging their allegiance to Obama?

It’s an axiom that shit rolls down hill. I mean just about everybody knows that you gots to be concerned about who’s up all above you cus it’s like to be that they’re sure enough gonna shit all on your head.

But don’t y’all worry about Obama or his cabal scraping their rears with any of that corncob, old catalog, or newspaper stuff. They’s be all up on this modern stuff and gots themselves some of that toilet paper…

‘Course, things being as they are and Obama being the sort of boy that he is, I ain’t all that sure he be using that toilet paper, much as do love shitting on the Constitution. He’s got himself a fine pack o’ ass lickers in the Senate and the Media after all. 😉

A large number of Americans and even some small percentage of Liberals and Progressives regularly complain that Obama is too separated from the populace at large and just doesn’t seem to listen to them.

Oh Yeah. That’s Why Won’t Obama Listen

It’s really quite simple. The boy just can’t stand anything he hears when he does listen to us. Oh well, words will only go so far anyway in keeping a People free from oppression by enemies either foreign or domestic.
