Liberal Priorities

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics, Society on October 14th, 2012

You can tell a lot about groups of people by what they are willing to complain about. Often this is a better metric than trying to judge them by what they claim to want or support. Most especially, one can determine what the group in question’s priorities are.

Liberal priorities are for the birds
Liberal Priorities – For The Birds, Not For Americans

Liberal and Progressives priorities are seemingly for the birds, Big Bird in particular, as opposed to Americans and the real economic problems facing them. That can be clearing inferred from their protests and rantings over Mitt Romney saying that he’d like to cut PBS’ funding.

The funny thing is that PBS only gets approximately 15% of its budget from federal subsidies and the Sesame Workshop is a non-profit financial venture with and average of $130 million in annual revenue, almost none of it from PBS.

So, not only are the Liberals’ and Progressives’ priorities contrary to those of Americans, they’re ignorantly misplaced as well.

Energy Then And Now

Posted in Politics, Society, Technology on October 13th, 2012

Once, America was an energy powerhouse. Coal, oil, natural gas, hydroelectric power, and later, nuclear power generation brought reasonably priced energy to our people, spurring a lasting economic pace that reshaped and bettered the whole world. Then the Leftists emerged and systematically attacked all parts of the system and America’s energy resources were, one by one, made unnecessarily costly and difficult to bring to we, the People.

Energy Then And Now
Energy Then And Now

And just what do these jabbering Leftists have to replace America’s tried and true means of energy production? To-date all they have are drug-fueled fantasies and delusions stemming from the cognitive inability to differentiate between science-fiction and science-fact.

This is fact. Wind, solar, and geothermal power, along with the various alternative fuels are not ready for the market and none of them can survive as commercial concerns on their own merits. In many cases even extreme levels of government subsidies and tax breaks aren’t enough to ensure their commercial viability. Additionally, many of these means of harnessing energy by non-standard means have negative consequences that haven’t been nearly well enough researched or mitigated as of yet.

Of course, the Leftists, especially the Eco-Left elements, don’t care about that. If anything, they view these failings as positive things since their agenda is more about destroying America as it is and rebuilding it as something fundamentally different than about solving for America’s energy issues.

Global Sustainability requires the deliberate quest of poverty, reduced resource consumption and set levels of mortality control.

That’s a large part of why they rejected Energy Independence in favor of Global Warming as a platform to work with in order to reach their goals. Their goals had and continue to have little or nothing to do with solving the energy / fuel situation.

NOTE: None of the above should be construed as my saying that new forms of energy production shouldn’t be researched or that our government shouldn’t help fund that research. I’m completely in favor of both research and government help with funding that research.

Proverbial VP Debate

Posted in 2012 Election, Humor, Religion on October 12th, 2012

Paul Ryan debated Joe Biden and Biden was certainly in full form and his performance was as passionate as it was colorful. In some ways the vice presidential debate was biblical…

If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet.

Proverbs 29:9, the Bible (ESV)

“Laughing Joe” certainly was feisty and entertaining though. The Vice President’s chuckles, sighs, interruptions, and odd asides during the debate with Rep. Paul Ryan really stole the show, something that was not predicted to happen.

Obama Just Doesn’t Care

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on October 11th, 2012

The two biggest problems with Obama are that he is nothing better than a narcissistic, petulant, little boy and that he’s utterly incapable of speaking the truth if doing so won’t perfectly serve his purposes, which are completely centered upon the image of himself he’s spent a lifetime creating.

Despite that being common knowledge it’s still amazing how much he and his cronies are decompensating as we near the 2012 elections.

It beggars credulity that Obama’s deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter would say that the terrorist attack at the US Consulate in Benghazi that killed four Americans was only important because Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan talk about the attack.

STEPHANIE CUTTER: In terms of the politicization of this — you know, we are here at a debate, and I hope we get to talk about the debate — but the entire reason this has become the political topic it is, is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. It’s a big part of their stump speech. And it’s reckless and irresponsible what they’re doing.

BROOKE BALDWIN: But, Stephanie, this is national security. As we witnessed this revolution last year, we covered it–

CUTTER: It is absolutely national security–

BALDWIN: –it is absolutely pertinent. People in the American public absolutely have a right to get answers.

When one takes into account that the Campaigner-in-Chief’s deputy – and whatever other positions she might be in under Obama – claims come not long after Obama had already politicized the Muslim terrorist attacks, this is essentially a “nuanced” admission that the Obama Regime didn’t and still doesn’t care about these Muslim terrorist attacks except in how they might effect the boy keeping his job a few years longer.

Obama's LibyaObama Foreign Policy – Leading From Behind

Yeah, Obama’s foreign policy of “Leading From Behind” has run into few “bumps in the road.” Sadly, those bumps were the mutilated corpses of Americans foolish enough to think that they’d be protected by the Obama Regime from the Muslims they were told serve among.

Bumps In The RoadWhich Bump Was Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Boy?

That’s not too shocking, actually. Obama’s only political experience was in Chicago’s South Side and was, therefor, more attuned to insurrection, terrorism, vileness, and violent crime than to defending against them.

I certainly wouldn’t mind four bumps in my road – not if they all had the last name of Obama and I could back up to my car make absolutely sure of each of them. 😉

Add in the logical conclusion as to what she was alluding to with her “And it’s reckless and irresponsible what they’re doing” line and any American can see that Islamic terrorist attacks aren’t the only thing that Obama just doesn’t care about.

America needs a POTUS who cares about our laws, our people, and our security in this ever more savage world and that leaves Obama out of the running. The boy just doesn’t care about anything or anyone except the vision he’s created of himself for himself.

He will be responsible for letting a condition develop in this country which will create a climate that will bring seeds up out of the ground with vegetation on the end of them looking like something his people never dreamed of. In 2012, it’s the ballot or the bullet and either one is a valid means to salvation.

Inherited?

Crybaby Obama - That's all he is; a petulent little boy crying because it's not fair that he's judged by his character and actions. We’re almost four years into the morass of the attempted reign of Obama and the pathetic little boy is still crying and whining and still blaming his predecessors for his difficulties and repeated failures.

Just as a reminder for everyone – Obama didn’t “inherit” the economy from anyone. He asked for it, campaigned for it, spent hundreds of millions of dollars to acquire it, and promised to change it.
