I’m told by people who use Reddit for this sort of thing that this is, in fact, how it works. So, live within reality, not your fantasy world where altruism trumps self-aggrandizement. Work within the system and be successful. Almost nobody has ever denied the system and ended up successful. Even those that seemed to have done so have, in actuality, gamed the existing system to garner success, thereby changing that system.
Like every day, but especially Mondays, first, coffee, then on the confusion and frustration that is the day.
