Absolutely Not

Posted in Food & Drink, Politics, Society on August 14th, 2010

I’m a big fan of vodka; it’s one of my preferred spirits. There is one brand, however, that despite its quality, reasonable price, and easy availability that I do not purchase nor allow my family to do so – not that they would in the first place. That is Absolut, which was once one of my staple brands of vodka. The reason for my boycott is clear and simple:

If in an “Absolut World” Atzlan has completed it Reconquista of the American Southwest, or even if they just thought that such an ad was appropriate to use in Mexico then they are the enemies of America.

Since I do not lend aid and comfort to the enemy, I do not purchase their products and encourage all other Americans to do the same.

When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.

— Edmund Burke
The Yale Book of Quotations

Treason takes many forms, not all of which are obvious. One of the worst and easiest to commit is lending tacit support to America’s foreign or domestic enemies by doing any form of business with them whatsoever or lending them any aid or support even by proxy.

Ground Zero Analogy

Posted in Politics, Religion, Society on August 13th, 2010

There are whole hosts of Liberals deriding Americans’ complaints about the Muslims trying to build the Ground Zero Mosque.  They are currently using every tactic that they can think of to defend the Muslims and attack Americans either out of unreasoning hatred of all things Americans, their own dhimmitude, or some unwholesome crossbreeding of the two flaws.

I have a simple question for these so-called defenders of tolerance:

Would any of you defend the “right” of the Klu Klux Klan to build a meeting hall near either end of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, AL, name it the Rosewood Center, and open it on April 4?

— jonolan

Somehow I doubt that many of these Liberals’ “tolerance” extends to blatant acts of provocation that aren’t perpetrated by Muslims and the “traditional minorities populations.”

If you’re an adult, were raised in America, and you don’t understand the references to Edmund Pettus Bridge, Rosewood, or April 4 just go away; go far, far away – you don’t belong here.

Liberals and their minority tenants would do anything and everything in the power to prevent the KKK from opening a meeting hall under the circumstances I’ve outlined and they’d be right to do; such an act as I outlined would be an affront, a direct provocation, and an unmitigated abomination in the eyes of the Gods and all right-thinking people of America.

Why There? Why Build A Mosque At Ground Zero Other Than To Glorify Muslim Terrorism?

Imam Feisal Abdul-Rauf’s plot to build the Ground Zero Mosque, name it after the centerpiece of the Muslims’ conquest and rape of Andalusia, and open it on the anniversary of the worst Islamic terrorist attack in American history is the same thing, an affront, a direct provocation, and an unmitigated abomination in the eyes of the Gods and all right-thinking people of America. Every American is right to do anything and everything in the power to prevent it from coming into existence.

Perhaps some would understand better if the analogy was kept is purely Islamist terms:

Would any of you defend the “right” of the Serbian Orthodox Church to build a cathedral in Srebrenica or would you demand that the UN stop such a thing?  Would you complain if the Muslims responded with violence to the attempt?

— jonolan

Until the Liberals accept and admit that they are not worth listening to and should never be allowed to affect the American consciousness.  They are as biased and bigoted as they stridently claim Americans are and will remain that way until they finally understand that an abomination is an abomination no matter who the victims are.

Obama Is Fair Game

Posted in Politics on August 13th, 2010

On the ever popular boardwalk in Seaside Heights, NJ Lucky Leo’s arcade, run by Thom “Tommy” Whalen, recently added a new target to their “Walkin Charlie” carnival game – President Obama whose effigy, joined the rogues gallery of targets rotating in the game.

Fairgoers Take Out Their Frustration On Obama And Others

Unsurprisingly this outraged Obama’s followers, the jabbering Black grievance mongers, and not of few other ne’er-do-wells that seem to have inordinate access to public forums.

But, of course, replacing the effigy of President Obama with ones of President Bush and Secretary of State Clinton – for a little while at least – was a perfectly acceptable solution; they’re both White after all and are for that reason among others seen as evil by the ethno-guiltist Obama cultists and other domestic enemies of America.

To be fair, Americans can’t really blame Mr. Whalen for making the change in targets. He did it Wednesday after a “visit” from the Secret Service and possibly at their “suggestion.” Folks on the Jersey Shore are fairly worldly and understand “Chicago style” suggestions after all and there was probably a certain fear of some of Obama’s constituency as well.

Obama’s Souljahs – Like Iran’s Basij With Dreadlocks

Since some of Obama’s supporters have no qualms about making their outrage “felt,” have the weaponry to do so, and the active protection of Obama’s Attorney General’s office to shield them from legal reprisals, I can understand Mr. Whalen’s capitulation. He does, after all, run a business that caters to families and children, both of which are classed as valid targets in Obama’s old hood of Roseland in Chicago’s South Side.

Of course I can remember things similar to this carnival game in the recent past, such as the plethora on flash games glorifying an actual assault upon President Bush by an Muslim terrorist sympathizer, Muntadar al-Zeidi.

One Of The Many Bush Shoe Throw Games

These were all seen as “good clean fun” and valid political satire and expression – and essentially they were, even though glorifying Islamic terrorism is to be frowned upon within human civilization.

Of course some Liberals weren’t satisfied with with fantasies of hitting President Bush with shoes. They preferred more graphic fun such as games in which the goal is to kill Bush in various graphic manners.

Again these were all seen as “good clean fun” and valid political satire and expression.

I admit that I don’t know if there were “live action” carnival games where people through shoes or other objects at an effigy of President Bush or where they shot at such effigies. Such things would not have been considered newsworthy by the Liberal MSM and not publicized, nor would the American people been outraged enough over such lampooning of a POTUS to make much an issue over it.

But that was then and things were perceived as being different.  Now we have America’s First Black President and he apparently needs to be dealt with differently and with far greater care for his “sensitivities” and for those of his followers. That’s a very sad thing that doesn’t bode well for the immediate future of America, but that is what happens when people base their voting upon candidate’s race instead of their ability.

One thing to recognize though in all its unpleasantness – even Obama’s own followers don’t these that he’s equal to the task of dealing with the unruly and tasteless side of our society as the forty-three “Old White Guys” who held the office before him had to do. They don’t believe – possibly rightly given Obama’s behavior – the content of his character is up to that challenge.

Need He Say More?

Posted in 2010 Election, Politics on August 12th, 2010

On Tuesday, August 10, 2010 Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) had this to say to a room full of mostly Hispanic voters:

I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, okay. Do I need to say more?

Sometimes the blind racism shown by how and when Liberals choose to play the Race Card beggars the imagination; it truly does.

Harry Reid: Do I need to say more?

I really can’t think of anything more that Senator Reid needs to say on anything related to that topic. He has once again shown his true colors as just another yammering Liberal racist who stereotypes minorities and lumps them into some monolithic bloc that he then cynically seeks to manipulate for his own benefit.

What funny though is the way that Reid and his sort would attack a similar statement if made by a Republican. Can you imagine the response to:

I don’t know how anyone of Northern European heritage could be a Democrat, okay. Do I need to say more?

So…Does Reid really need to say anything more at all? Well, “Goodbye” would be nice; a dull thud as his corpse hit the ground would be even better – but that’s not really saying anything. 😉

Mmmmm Cookies!

Posted in Humor, Society on August 11th, 2010

See a beautiful woman in something resembling a uniform and, for those men in the West, one of the first funny thoughts that comes to mind is Girl Scouts and Girl Scout cookies. The image below from LOL News is a perfect and wonderfully pleasant to look at example.

Unsurprisingly, my being an average example of one of those Western men, I was originally going to jump on the bandwagon and make a short, hopefully humorous, and more than a little prurient post about the image displayed above. Then I took a better look at the picture and the woman depicted therein.

Firstly, I realized that the woman is wearing the field uniform of the Tzva Hagana Leyisra’el (Tzahal) which is more widely called the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). There are no “Girl Scouts” in the Tzahal.

Secondly, I noticed that she wore the Chiel Harefuah pin upon her breast. That’s the Tzahal’s insignia for their medical corps. Due the particulars of my life I do not tend towards offering up anything that might be considered disrespectful to members of the medical corps of any nation’s military forces.

Third and finally, I saw that, judging by her looks, she was an Arab. That sparked my curiosity since there are relatively few Arabs the IDF; all Israeli Arabs with the exception of the Druze and Circassians, are exempt from Israel’s compulsory military service and few choose to serve voluntarily. Fewer still Arab women would choose or be allowed by their menfolk to join the military.

As far as I could see this woman had to be special, if only by the nature of her rarity, so I started doing some research…
