With some state governors using their “emergency powers” to make it illegal to leave one’s home without wearing a mask, we should try hard to really make the best of it. 😉

With the increasingly polarized and violent contention over “reopening” America – i.e., easing or removing the various “Lock Downs” – it’s quite apt to say that everyone in Kung Flu Fighting.

Yeah, this pandemic has been a dream come for the various wannabe tin pot dictators that have been allowed into power across our nations. They’re loving the power it gives them, especially since they can claim that they’re just serving the greater good.

And no; I sincerely doubt that these paroxysms of tyranny are part of some deep plan or that they’re, for the most part, even consciously based in the desire for authoritarian power. No, this is the worse thing, the desire to “do what’s right” for the proles and others that need to managed, controlled, and protected from themselves for their own good and the good of their fellows.

That’s why both these tyrannical pseudo-parents and their ever-dutiful media have framed the lockdowns and other curtailments of liberty as something that must be done in order to protect others. It makes it so that anyone who doesn’t abide by these restrictions can be framed as a public enemy.

And, to make matters sadder and to increase the scope of the Kung Flu Fighting, there’s plenty within our borders – mostly but not entirely Democrats and Likely Democrats – who seem to be more than OK with these infringements upon the People’s liberty and basic rights.

But why are they OK with this? Honestly, I don’t know. There’s a host of possible reasons for it, both conscious and unconscious, ranging from derangement-based hatred of President Trump and everyone who supports him, through schadenfreude, and on to honest fear their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Judging which combination of those is behind anyone’s position is far beyond me.

And so the Kung Flu Fighting will continue and escalate.

At first pass, this may seem counterintuitive since Democrats have proven by their unalloyed support of the alleged rapist, Joe Biden to be hypocrites. Yet, it is truer to state that they are not hypocrites; they’re Democrats, since being a Democrat involves a plethora of cultural, cognitive, and moral shortcomings, of which, rank hypocrisy is only one exemplar.

Yeah! Honestly, it’s like that. Certain sorts seem to love to tell Americans to check their facts and then, as supposed evidence, present articles from CNN or other Lamestream Media sources as evidence that the Americans are wrong.

And, of course, those Lamestream Media sources are so very careful about their fact-checking. They very much don’t want to tell something that the Leftists’ magisterium has decried as blasphemous or heretical. The cost to them would be too high.

Then, we must accept that this problem of “alternative facts” will continue. After all, Americans and the sorts who tend to vote Democrat don’t even have the same definition for many things.

Masks, masks, masks everywhere. You can’t go outside without seeing most people wearing them. I don’t know if it’s fear – of the coronavirus or law enforcement – or virtue signally, but it’s ubiquitous these days.
