Hillary-ian Hypocrisy

Posted in 2016 Election, Politics on April 18th, 2015

“Hillary-ian” or some more grammar-positive version thereof should be added to the lexicon as an adjective denoting unparallelled and/or unrivaled hypocrisy and chutzpah.

It's My Turn! And I Am A Vagina!
It’s My Turn! And I Am A Vagina!

At her first official campaign event, held at Kirkwood Community College in Monticello, ID, Clinton identified campaign finance reform as one of several pillars of her 2016 presidential campaign.

We need to fix our dysfunctional political system and get unaccountable money out of it once and for all — even if it takes a constitutional amendment.

— Hillary Clinton

She proclaimed this mere days after announcing her latest candidacy and stating that she was looking to raise as much as $2.5 billion to fund her latest bid to be POTUS.

To put that in perspective and context, in 2008 Obama spent $748 million vs McCain’s $352 million, and in 2012 Obama spent $722 million vs. Romney’s $450 million. Indeed, the totals expenditures by all candidates were approximately $1.68 billion and $1.33 billion respectively in the total course of the 2008 and 2012 election cycles.

So Hillary is looking to garner and spend in this election approximately 188% of the money that all the candidates together spent in the last presidential election.

But don’t worry! Hillary, once she’s had her turn, is committed to campaign finance reform and getting money out of politics.

In All Fairness: UBOC

Posted in Humor, Society on April 18th, 2015

In an a small effort at “fairness” and “equality,” here’s a gallery featuring UBOC – Underboobs Of Color. As you can plainly see, there’s some good things about “social justice.”

In All Fairness: UBOC

And really! Black, Blatina, and Latina babes have historically gotten the short end of the stick when it came to perceived beauty, which has sorely constrained their options in life. Hence, Reflections From A Murky Pond is providing them with a little special treatment, a hand up if you will.

Now, before anyone comments upon it, there’s no Asian babes’ underboobs in the gallery. This is because Asian aren’t “Of Color” or even “minorities” according to the Blacks, Blatinos, and Latinos – Brown People – and the Liberals and Progressives that equally pander to- and exploit. Therefor, I didn’t include any so as to avoid being Politically Incorrect.

So enjoy these UBOCs! All else being equal, consider choosing them. 😉

Heavy Lift Rocket

In an ever-so-expected paroxysm of profiteering off Demographic Symbolism, Hillary Clinton has official started her 2016 Presidential election campaign. It is, however, also expected that the shear mass of scandals attached to her will make it difficult for her campaign to get off the ground.

Hillary's campaign will need heavy lift capabilities to get off the ground
Hillary’s Going To Need Heavy Lift Capabilities

Yeah, Hillary’s going to need some serious heavy lift capabilities for this launch to work and NASA, as it is now, isn’t going to be much help.

Fortunately for her though less for America, the Russians’ Soyuz-2 is a proven heavy lift rocket and Hillary’s never shown herself to have any qualms about accepting foreign assistance. 😉

Two Kings In Contrast

The Goblin King vs. The Gobblin' King
Two Kings In Contrast

Jareth, the Goblin King, and Obama, the Would-Be King of America, are both fictional creations of dark fantasy, but there the similarity ends…aside from the nature of their respective followers.

Misplaced Moxie

Recently, astronaut Neil Armstrong’s widow uncovered and notified the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum about an old bag of relics from NASA’s historic Apollo 11 mission that she found tucked away in a closet and forgotten.

As is to be expected in these times of bloated and intrusive government, it didn’t take long for some people to interject politics into this event.

America’s Misplaced Moxie

As I stated, it is to be expected in these times of bloated and intrusive government that politics will get interjected into almost anything. That said, I find this to be a childish, naive, and ignorant interject in specific. America’s moxie, as applied and exemplified by NASA’s space program, was not misplaced, it was discarded as no longer needed or affordable.

As much I love NASA’s space program and miss what it was billed as during my childhood – Yeah, I loved sitting in front of the TV and watching the landings – none of what NASA was doing during that time was for the sake of space exploration or science. The entire program was nothing but the US and USSR sublimating the Cold War into the “Space Race” rather than starting a thermonuclear WW3.

In this, our space program was quite similar to our Interstate Highway System, more properly named the National System of Interstate and Defense Highways, which President Eisenhower had built for the purpose of improving America’s ability to get our troops to anywhere in the US, especially to embarkation points, quickly.

The last temptation is the greatest treason: to do the right deed for the wrong reason.

Murder in the Cathedral

What was and is also sadly similar is that NASA was allowed to languish just as the Interstate Highways were allowed to more and more fall into disrepair when the fear, pride, and perceived need and value that engendered it lapsed with the passing of time and reduction of the specific societal triggers that provided its impetus.

Yes, it could properly said that we fell to T.S. Eliot’s last and greatest temptation and the treason we caused and suffered from was the misplacing of our nation’s moxie.
