Generation Y
People who were born after 1983 are referred to as Generation Y. I used to think this was laziness intermixed with a certain level of irony since the previous generation were referred to as Generation X.
So That’s Why They’re Generation Y!
Then, all of a sudden, calling them Generation Y made perfect sense. 😛

That is funny 🙂
I never understood how they keep them from falling off…for most people that is a nightmare. Who thought up that stupid trend anyway? Big and Tall mens stores?
Whatever.

Sadly, Coco, all the prevailing reports on how the saggy jeans craze started are fairly vile. Apparently it started in prison where inmates can’t wear belts.
When, in the 80’s, “street cred” became of importance among some groups, looking like you’d spent time in prison became fashionable. Things devolved from there apparently….
🙁

Well the good news is my younger brother is firmly in gen X, for a while there I wasn’t sure where he fell on the gen line. As to how we got that trend in the first place, all I can say is wow! Is looking like a criminal that important to today’s youth? If so, we may not be to far from madness. That is all.
