Food Porn’s Goatse

Food porn, it’s been a thing for a long time on the internet, though not as long as cats. 😆 But, like a form of such things, Rule 34 applies and it has its very, very disturbing dark side. Yes, food porn has its own goatse.

And yes, I’ll be honest. My wives and I do – more than occasionally – engage in purveying food porn. Three top shelf chefs with smartphones and social media accounts will do that. 😉

But, and this a big but worth a lot of cringing shivers, especially among the younger crowd, those 30 images above aren’t made up or originally designed for shock factor. Each one is actually a “real” food or food suggestion from America’s 50s, 60s, and 70s. Indeed, most of them were suggested for dinner parties or similar culinary events.

Grab Some Luck In The Year Of The Water Tiger

This is the last day of the annual celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. So, go grab some luck! Embrace the spirit of the Water Tiger. Be passionate; be daring; be fearless.

Grab, Not Just Luck, But Lasting Prosperity As Well

Remember that Confucianism is still the primary underpinning of Chinese culture and that Confucianism is centered upon a man’s family and heirs through the generations. As such, prosperity and fortune are measured less by a man’s immediate wealth than by the lasting strength of his family. So, don’t just grab some luck; grab it and prosperity and hang on to that tiger’s tail. 😉

So, 2022's Valentine's Day

Posted in Society on February 14th, 2022

So, it’s Valentine’s Day again and I’m thinking that 2022’s iteration of this equally loved, hated, and feared holiday will be a bit more stressful than most – though NOT, perhaps, as bad as 2021’s.

2022’s Valentine’s Day Gifts

So, I guess you should try to make the best of it with what and who’s available to you and don’t get too down if you’re alone on this oddly stressful holiday.
