LTG (Ret) Sanchez’s Speech

On October 12, 2007 LTG (Ret) Ricardo S. Sanchez gave an address to the military reporters and editors at a luncheon in Washington D.C.. Since then the US media has made a big story of how his speech was a rant against the Bush administration. As is all too common in today’s partisan and agenda driven “journalism” outlets they have both slanted the truth and chosen to only report on part of it.

I’m not going to include excerpts from LTG (Ret) Sanchez’s speech in this post. Doing so, given the nature of his address, would be committing the same transgression the main stream media has.

I really love what you’re going over here! I mean very well designed blog with great content! Two things for today:

    1) In the first (top) posting regarding Costa Rica, I admire the way you point out that swapping debt is advancing scientific research and eco concerns.

    2) In the second posting regarding Lt. Gen. Sanchez, I am 100% there with you regarding the main stream media; however, it is disgusting that politicians or retired 3-star generals use it as their medium for voice.

One last thing: Which has more value to all parties concerned given 3 square acres of Amazonian jungle: Farmers, Developers, Native folks, or nothing at all?

    Thank you!

I don’t know which use of 3 acres of jungle would have the highest overall value. I lean towards the “nothing at all” option, but then the Natives make use of that option as well so it clouds the choices.
