Reflections From a Murky Pond

Funny, but true. Or, perhaps, funny because it’s true. Working people, especially Whites, supporting Democrats is a lot like deer supporting hunters.

New York Times columnist David Brooks is and has been an avowed enemy of America and the American People, but given him some small measure of credit. He is a rarity among his kind. He’s an honest enemy who has no fear or compunction about boldly stating what his fellow “journalists” should do or how far they should go to destroy America’s future and usher in their Democrat Dystopia. For this mercy should be granted to/upon him.

Recently, Brooks slammed leftist, lamestream media outlets and the Democratic Party for failing to find a winning strategy to sink the popularity of former President Trump and remove him from political discourse.  Yes, that is right. Brooks lambasted his fellow anti-American leftists for not using their platforms to destroy our electoral processes and what future there is for American democracy.

Those of us in this establishment correctly identified Trump as a grave threat to American democracy. The task before us was clear. We were never going to shake the hard-core MAGA folks. The job was to peel away independents and those Republicans offended by and exhausted by his antics.

The two most honest and equally chilling and important words in his rant our “the job.” [highlighted in quote] Those two words blatantly and unashamedly tell the world that David Brooks believes that the job of the media is to destroy President Trump and remove him from the political arena. And,by extension, those two words demand that the lamestream media decide who will be allowed in said arena and to hold political office.

To state so openly that the “press” should through any vestige of journalistic ethics aside is amazingly honest of Brooks. It’s rare to see anyone in the media speak the truth instead of hiding behind the lies of being sources of legitimate information and/or unbiased recorders of the events of the world. But, to state something so heinous so easily is also shows an amazing level of entitlement since Brooks obviously believes it safe for him to make such a statement and call to arms for all the world to hear.

And, My Fellow Americans, it’s not a good sign that Brooks feels safe enough to be so honest in public.

Biden, ever the gaffe-prone, war-seeking, dodderer, is now frantically backpedaling away from his recent Kafkaesque declaration that huge swaths of the American citizenry are existential threats to Democracy and the nation.

Of course, like most of what the Democrats’ POTUS does, he’s not at all good at it. But then, bicycles never were his forte… and neither was any real form of statesmanship.

Personally, when something like Biden labels me, mine, and every ally I have as existential threats to Democracy and America, there’s no backpedaling away from that. The Rubicon has been crossed.

And yes; delivering your call to arms in a staged production that looks like someone combined the “best” of Stalin’s and Hitler’s set pieces doesn’t help one bit, because those style elements are proven to be powerful and effective. That makes it clear that the choice to use them was deliberate and designed to rile up the Democrats’ base.

Bialystok anyone? Kristallnacht? History has – or should have – taught us that certain words, if delivered in certain manners and settings, can be used cause followers to shed their normal compunctions and commit atrocities upon segments of populations that they hate or are envious of.

Ah yes; Biden and Co., along with the Dems befouling the Capitol, are seeking to remediate our supposedly 0% inflation rate, largely by dramatically increasing government spending and adding funding for a slew of IRS agents. And, of course, continuing the Obama era policy of having any and all federal agencies stockpile weapons, ammunition, and military-grade equipment.

But then, this so-called Inflation Reduction Act was never really meant to benefit the majority of the American people, as even freaking NPR admits.

Well, it seems that Democrat operative and failed political candidate, Michael Starr Hopkins seems to think that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aka AOC is the Democrats “Best Non-White Hope” for defeating President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential elections. 😆

Now, I think – I certainly hope – that Hopkins wrote this a joke with a certain amount of meaning and social commentary to it. But, at the same time, I do find this to be a very irresponsible expression of humorous commentary if that is what declaring AOC to be best Dem candidate in 2024 was meant to be.

AOC’s rank unintelligence is only matched – but it is matched – by her charisma, especially to the race and gender obsessed Leftist voters. She is their nigh on perfect front-person, as her popularity among them proves, and has ways and means to secure support and campaign funds that no male candidate possesses. Buttigieg would be the closest, but the market for him would be too small to make a real difference. 😉

So yeah! AOC in 2024 is a fucking hilarious idea, but I’m not stupid enough to not keep a weather eye out, because they’re stupid enough to do this… completely unironically.
