No Doubts Remain

Posted in 2012 Election on May 18th, 2011

While there is in many Americans’ hearts and minds some doubt remaining as to Obama’s status as a “natural born citizen” and, hence, his eligibility to be POTUS, there can now be no doubts whatsoever as to why Obama chose to respond to Donald Trump’s demands for him to produce his “long form” birth certificate.

Yes, for a mere $25 functionally anonymous donation Obama’s supporters across the globe can purchase this shirt from Obama’s campaign website. For $15, they can get a coffee mug. Both shirt and mug feature the image of Obama’s birth certificate.

Americans have to remember that, to Obama, everything is about the election campaign; that’s his sole comfort zone. Almost anything he or his coterie due is founded upon that simple truism.

Obama and his campaigners know that Obama’s base has weakened since he took office. They also know that it’s far easier to get their supporters fired up to fight against the American people than to get the majority of them to fight for Obama – and they don’t have President Bush to blame and malign anymore.

On the brighter side, such a t-shirt would be considered a “fixed distinctive marking, visible from a distance” and, hence, a small step towards honesty.

No doubts remain. Obama’s long belated release of his birth certificate was solely about Alinsky-esque election politics, specifically the politics of pandering, provocation, and division.

Spades Are Trump

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on April 29th, 2011

So “The Donald” managed with just a few weeks of mild effort to do what the American people couldn’t do in three years of protests and litigation; he goaded Obama into providing more evidence of his American birthplace and, hence eligibility to hold the office of POTUS. At least that’s how Donald Trump is playing this up.

Somewhat unfortunately for him and very unfortunately for we, the People of America, I believe that Trump was playing the wrong suit in this hand. He forgot that under the rules of the game under regime of the First Black President and his Liberals spades are trump. 😉

I am an oppressed minority. How dare you question me
You’re White; You’re Racist – Unless You Give Me Money & Votes!

Obama is back in full campaign mode, not that he has ever particularly left that “comfort zone,” and everything is to be described as being about race, especially anything involves criticism of Obama or his agenda. This will just get worse whenever Obama or his cultists feel threatened.

Race Card Trump forgot that Obama only had two major themes to his 2008 presidential campaign, “Blame Bush” and the race card. With President Bush long out of the picture all Obama has left is race-baiting.

By forgetting this Trump gave Obama and his cabal the perfect opportunity to revitalize the controversy over his titular status as a natural born American citizen and eligibility to be POTUS to their benefit.

No crisis, especially manufactured ones, should ever be wasted…

Obama has lost the support of a lot of his far Left base and there’s almost always the concern that the Blacks, while fully in support of Obama not being perceived as a failure, won’t be motivated enough to go to the polls. Trumping this political hand by playing the race card is an almost sure fired remedy for these problems.

His campaign staff may not be able to drum up enough support in the form of campaign donation and vote for Obama but making the 2012 campaign about race may give them the ability to fire up the Liberals and Blacks to spend and vote against whoever runs against him.

Go Home Newt

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on March 29th, 2011

Newt Gingrich is considering running for President in the upcoming 2012 elections – sort of, kind of, maybe…if things look promising.

To that end the politician turned pundit has launched the website NewtExplore2012 to see how Americans feel about his potentially possible candidacy. This an odd move to say the least, especially from an “elder statesman.”

I’m in some doubt as to whether or not he’ll like the response though. Newt Gingrich, once a firebrand and dangerous opponent has, as the years progressed, become more and more “erratic.” Take, for example, his recent speech at the at Cornerstone Church in Texas which included this bit of WTF!?!

“I have two grandchildren — Maggie is 11, Robert is 9,” Gingrich said at Cornerstone Church here. “I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they’re my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American.”

I can understand the concern that America might degenerate into Atheism. I can understand the concern that America might be suborned and perverted by Islam. There are forces, well-entrench within our nation, who are actively seeking those destructive goals.

What I’m totally and utterly incapable of understanding is any concern about America devolving into a secular Atheist state that is dominated by radical Islamists.

That’s completely nonsensical! The first thing that the Islamists would do during the course of their rise to power would be to exterminate the Atheists. There’d be none left by the time the Islamists could ever be said to dominate what had replaced America.

Go home, Newt. Go play with those lovely grandchildren; go write some more books; just go while you have some dignity remaining to you and before you embarrass yourself further.

Age can bring great wisdom. It can also, sadly, bring great folly. There’s little joy in watching an American elder suffering from the latter as Mr. Gingrich seems to be suffering.

Libya – Looking Back

Posted in 2008 Election, 2012 Election, Politics on March 22nd, 2011

On Thursday, March 17, 2011, acting under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, which provides for the use of force if deemed to be needed by the UNSC, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) adopted Resolution 1973.

President Obama promptly gave the orders for American forces in the region to begin attacking Mu’ammar Qaddafi’s loyalists in Libya.

This is not a course of action that, at first pass, makes a great deal of sense to me. It makes even less sense to me when I look back to the start of Obama’s campaign for the Presidency of America.

It’s time to admit that no amount of American lives can resolve the political disagreement that lies at the heart of someone else’s civil war.

Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL)
Candidacy Announcement, February 10, 2007

This is not like Obama’s reversing his decisions about Gitmo and Military Commissions; that was bowing with some small grace to necessity. Having his regime’s UNSC delegate vote in favor of Resolution 1973 was an unforced act.

So what, if anything, changed? Why has Obama committed our forces to a type of war that he previously stated he believed could not be won?

I think Americans require an answer to that question before we get too much further into the 2012 Election season.

Obama’s Foreign Policy

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on March 1st, 2011

So what exactly is the foundation of Obama’s foreign policy? What are Obama’s goals for America’s international relations? Nobody seems to know those answers, not our State Department, not Congress, not the People, not our Enemies, and certainly not our Allies.

With no apparent rhyme or reason to Obama’s statements, occasional half-measures, and string of inactions in response to any of the situations in the Mid-East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America people keep searching for some deeper game that he’s playing and ascribing various and sundry motivations to him.

There’s a far simpler and, I believe, much more likely rationale for Obama’s foreign policy inconsistencies:

There are two rules one should always remember: “The simplest explanation is most likely the correct one” and “Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”

I firmly believe that Obama already displayed the extent of his foreign policy. He apologied to all and sundry for America’s status as a superpower, vilified the actions of his predecessors, and thought that our enemies would now begin to like, if not America, at least him.

Beyond that, I don’t think that Obama has any foreign policy goals.

As the international situation grows ever more fluid and we in America move towards the 2012 Elections this is something to keep firmly in one’s mind.
