What Is Wrong With This?

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on October 16th, 2012

I got an interesting tweet from the White House Press Corp earlier today. I can hardly wait to see how things spin out on this issue, especially with the election season in full bore.

So what is wrong with this? The answer one will likely arrive at depends upon one’s ideology and loyalties.

The average American, upon seeing this, is likely to say that obviously gasoline prices are far too high and rising far too sharply over the course of Obama’s attempted reign.

The Liberals and Progressives, on the other hand, are likely to see this far differently as they endorse and support higher gasoline prices as part of their strategy to “starve away” Global Warming. Hence, this sort of tweet, if the content gets any real play, will likely be used as an excuse to rant that minimum wage obviously needs to be greatly increased.

Take Us Back

Posted in 2012 Election on October 16th, 2012

One of the recurring bits of propaganda coming out of the mouths of Obama, Biden, their handlers, and proxies is the tropism that Romney and Ryan, and Republicans in general, want to “take us back” to some past that they hope their base finds objectionable.

Romney Wants To Take Us Back…

This is actually a brilliant reelection strategy for the Campaigner-in-Chief and his overseers. It conjures up all sorts of horrific fantasies of slavery, bondage, and oppression among the Liberal, Progressive, and minority herds. Better even, for the Obama Regime, the truth of what Romney and Ryan want to take America back is at least equally horrific and objectionable to the Left and their minority sharecroppers.

Obama’s Growing Problem

Despite being handed a book deal on the topic, the First Lady is, in this singular instance, honest enough to acknowledge that she doesn’t possess a green thumb and her rather high profile garden in the White House’s South Lawn hasn’t been a spectacular success.

Sadly for America, her husband is no better and definitely doesn’t have a green thumb either.

That’s not to say he has a black thumb, meaning that he kills all he tries to grow. He’s been quite effective at growing one thing, the National Debt. I’d guess you’d say that the boy’s got a “red thumb.” All that he can grow is debt and outlay. 😉

Security Priorities

Posted in Politics on October 15th, 2012

It’s long been axiomatic that it is far better for governments to fear their people than for people to fear their governments. That makes a great deal of sense since tyranny is commonly associated with- and much more easily identified when a government instills fear of itself in its people.

Governments Should Be Afraid Of Their People
Remember The Law Of Unintended Consequences

Unfortunately, the Law of Unintended Consequences applies to this with just as much frequency and potency of effect as it does to everything else involving the intersection of the People and the government.

Fear is a great motivator and, hence, all security priorities are based upon measuring the niceties of those fears and shifting resources to where it is perceived that their most needed.

Obama's Security Priorities
Security Priorities Are Based Upon Fear

Ask our surviving embassy and consulate staff personnel or the next-of-kin of those murdered by Muslim terrorists after being refused when they pleaded with Obama Regime for increased security about those consequences. After that, ask almost anyone who flies commercial airlines regularly how they feel about being on the receiving end of heightened security.

It is far better for governments to fear their people than for people to fear their governments but, like all things of worth, the good of this comes at a heavy price. The Obama Regime’s greater fear of the American people, as compared to their fear of Islamists, is a near perfect example of this.

What They Want

Posted in 2012 Election on October 15th, 2012

There are normally many metrics by which to judge people and their suitability for any given job or role. Sadly, when it comes to political candidates for high office, one is forced to be overly dependent upon their words. What they claim to want is of primary, though nowhere’s near sole, importance in choosing between candidates.

What Romney And Obama Each Say They Want
What Romney And Obama Each Say They Want

Judging by the words of the respective 2012 presidential candidates, Romney wants fewer poor people and Obama wants fewer wealthy people. You and I get to choose in November whose desires are in line the American ideal and whose are antithetical to it.

Yes, I know; As a White, my judging Obama by any criteria except the “importance” of his racial identification is racist as far as the Left and their political sharecroppers are concerned.

We can choose the candidate who claims to want to increase the wealth in America or we can choose to allow the candidate who always claims to want to spread the wealth in existence around. For our sake, the sake of our children, and the sake of our children’s children we damn well better choose wisely.
