Explaining Cats

Posted in Humor on January 8th, 2012

Living with cats is normally pleasant but it is also “interesting” because, by and large, cats don’t behave the way that humans normally expect them to behave. Explaining cats then becomes necessary to a happy home.

First, one must understand how cats see the world, especially the bed…

This viewpoint of the bed can be explained by analyzing the brain of a cat. As can be seen, it’s differs from most others’.

Finally, you just have to accept that science can’t explain all of cats’ behavior. One just has to realize how cats see themselves in relation to the rest of the world…

See? Explaining cats isn’t too difficult. I’m not sure how satisfying the explanations are, but they’re not difficult to arrive at. 😉

Democrat Party Slogan

Posted in Humor, Politics on January 6th, 2012

It’s 2012 and in America that means a big election year. That’s a good time for a political campaign or whole party to reassess their message and how it’s distilled down into their tagline or slogan.

With the issues that the 2010 mid-term elections highlighted, this is especially true of the Democrat party. The question is what should the Democrat party slogan be changed to in order to properly reflect their agenda and fire up their constituents.

What Should Be The New Democrat Party Slogan?

What do think? Which should be the new Democrat party slogan? All ten choices seem solid to me. They’s succinct, pithy, and they honestly distill the Democrats’ goals and should resonate strongly with their constituents.

At The Barbershop

Posted in Humor, Politics on January 5th, 2012

In days gone by American men went to the barbershop for their basic grooming needs. It was a ritual of sorts, if placed within the context of postmodern neo-primitive spirituality, a “male mystery.” There American men gathered at the barbershop, bonded with each other, and “talked of affairs,” largely irregardless of their relative social position or beliefs.

This could, if this ritual had survived to the modern day, have led to some interesting conversations…

George Bush and Barack Obama somehow ended up at the same barber shop.

As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics.

As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Obama in his chair reached for the aftershave.

Obama was quick to stop him saying, “No thanks, my wife Michelle will smell that and think I’ve been in a whorehouse.”

The second barber turned to Bush and said, “How about you, sir?”

Bush replied, “Go ahead. My wife doesn’t know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like.”

Yep. It might have led to some odd exchanges indeed. 😉

It’s Been Three Years

Posted in 2012 Election, Politics on January 4th, 2012

It’s been three years since Obama was installed as the POTUS. For three full years now America has writhed under the class warfare and utter uselessness of the Obama Regime. Our economy remains in the tank; jobs have continued to be, to put it kindly, thin on the ground except for the ever-growing public sector; and what there is of our foreign policy is a joke wrapped in a riddle, wrapped up in an enigma.

Throughout it all Obama’s continued response is to blame everyone and anyone except himself, with special emphasis on any who are productive, successful…and White.

It's Been Three Years, Boy. When're you either going to do something right or admit you're worthless and get out of America's way?
It’s Been Three Years

At what point will Obama own up to his failure? At what point will he, if ever, reject the sad myth of his being too Black to fail and accept responsibility for what he’s done and so often over the last three years failed to do?

My guess would be sometime after the boy is dead and brought up for judgement, not before.

Obama’s Economic Boom

Posted in Politics on January 3rd, 2012

failure should be painful and it seemingly is for Obama. It’s perfectly fair to say that Obama has not been a boon to America’s economy. Nothing he’s done and nothing that he’s championed has improved the nation’s economic situation as a whole.

In point of fact, much of what Obama has either done or shilled for via the bully pulpit has had a chilling effect upon America’s economy.

There has been one significant uptick though, one segment of the economy that has responded positively to the Obama regime. Nationwide, firearms and ammunition sales have soared since Obama was installed as POTUS and that recovery shows no signs of slowing.

Firearm Sales
Obama’s Economic Boom

Indeed, 2011 Christmas firearm sales were record breaking, and the previous records weren’t that old.

With a few days left in December, the FBI reports the number of background checks has already topped the previous one-month record — set only in November — of 1,534,414 inquiries by gun dealers to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System also known as NICS. Almost half a million checks were done in just the last six days before Christmas.

Two days before Christmas, NICS ran 102,222 background checks, which was the second-busiest day in history. The one-day record was set this year on Black Friday, the big shopping day following Thanksgiving, with 129,166 searches. By comparison, the previous one-day high was set November 28, 2008, when gun dealers made slightly less than 98,000 requests for background searches.

In a larger context, the record for firearm purchases in a single year was set 2010, when the FBI reported that approximately 14.4 million background checks were requested. In 2011 that figure topped 16 million, an estimated 10% jump sales.

NOTE: FBI background searches aren’t the same thing as firearms sales. They can’t be used to accurately track multiple firearm purchases by the same individuals at the same time – i.e., if I buy 10 AR-15’s, 2 Mossberg 500’s, and a HK USP45 (w/o suppressor) as one purchase it would generate only one FBI background search.

So it seems that Obama’s economic boom is vastly ironic and probably not one that he’s comfortable with.
