Every Cent You Make

Posted in Humor, Politics on August 13th, 2009

Since it is said that music has charms to soothe the savage breast, here a bit of music to lighten the weary hearts of Americans.

Obama’s Hit Single – Every Cent You Make

OMG! Obama really is a rock star. Sing it, Barry! Belt one out into Left field!

Yes; it’s yet another political parody song by Paul Shanklin that is sure to draw the ire and vitriol of the Liberals.

Stand Firm

Posted in Politics on August 13th, 2009

President Obama and his Liberals are losing their war to force ObamaCare upon America, largely because they cannot withstand or counter the effects of an angry American people who will not bow down and be silent before them.

The protests at the Town Halls all across our nation are working. The voices of the American people, raised in anger and outrage, are loud enough to be heard over the lies of President Obama, his Liberals, and his pet media – which looks like it may be turning on him at last – and are being heard and listened to across America.

According to USA Today:

The raucous protests at congressional town-hall-style meetings have succeeded in fueling opposition to proposed health care bills among some Americans, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds — particularly among the independents who tend to be at the center of political debates.

In a survey of 1,000 adults taken Tuesday, 34% say demonstrations at the hometown sessions have made them more sympathetic to the protesters’ views; 21% say they are less sympathetic.

Independents by 2-to-1, 35%-16%, say they are more sympathetic to the protesters now.

The findings are unwelcome news for President Obama and Democratic congressional leaders, who have scrambled to respond to the protests and in some cases even to be heard. From Pennsylvania to Texas, those who oppose plans to overhaul the health care system have asked aggressive questions and staged noisy demonstrations.

As it is said, Truth Will Out, and the truth is that President Obama and his Liberals do not have answers to hard questions being asked by the American people. They have no answers. They have no plan at this point beyond spending trillions of dollars of the American people’s money and consolidating more and more power into their own hands in the federal government – admittedly, possibly with the best of intentions.

The groundwork of mischief is this. A man fancies that he knows what is best for other men; that he is better acquainted with their sources of happiness than they can be; that he has more appropriate knowledge, and having more power, that he can turn his knowledge to good account on their behalf. He has formed his own estimate of good he is thoroughly persuaded that such and such a thing is good, and being good, he will compel others to receive and to adopt it, because it is good, and because he knows, from experience, it is so.

Yet despotism never takes a worse shape than when it comes in the guise of benevolence; and is never more dangerous than when it acts under the impression that it represents beneficence.

Deontology; or, The Science of Morality

At this juncture in time, with the future of our children and our children’s children at stake, we Americans must stand firm. We must hold the line against the Liberals and their plans for “rebuilding” America into something that is only recognizable as a misborn offspring of nations and evil ideologies that we have time and again defeated before. We must not waver and allow Liberty to perish from the Earth.

Stand firm. Hold the line. Much as the men on the beaches of Dunkirk, we must not surrender no matter the cost. We may be defeated and destroyed, but if not…

A Liberal Dose

Laughter is supposed to be the best medicine, so let’s have a Liberal dose of it to ease the pains of the struggle. 😉

the chart says it's time for your shot
The Future of American healthcare?

I’m guessing that this isn’t exactly the End-Of-Life “counseling” that President Obama has been defending lately as part of his and his Liberals’ Healthcare “reform” plan.

Mythical Support

Posted in Politics on August 12th, 2009

All politician lie; the very best-trained of them lie by telling the truth; the most canny of them lie by innuendo and disingenuousness, both of which can pass the lying’s subject matter expert, Karl Rove’s “sniff test.” The very worst and stupidest of the politicians lie in a manner that will almost immediately be caught. Happily for Americans – but sadly for the Liberals – President Obama often falls into the latter category.

A case in point; during President Obama’s August 11, 2009, Portsmouth, NH staged and scripted “Town Hall” meeting President Obama conjured up mythical support for ObamaCare.

We have the AARP on board because they know this is a good deal for our seniors.

Of course, given the concerns over Dr. Emanuel’s involvement, this is a poorly chosen bald-faced lie. ABC News, of all the unlikely places, has the truth of the matter.

“We have the AARP on board because they know this is a good deal for our seniors,” the president said.

At another point he said: “Well, first of all, another myth that we’ve been hearing about is this notion that somehow we’re going to be cutting your Medicare benefits.  We are not.  AARP would not be endorsing a bill if it was undermining Medicare, okay?”

The problem?

The AARP hasn’t endorsed any plan yet.

The country’s largest advocacy group for Americans over 50 issued a statement after the event saying, “While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a health care reform bill that would reduce Medicare benefits, indications that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in Congress are inaccurate.”

Busted! Hell, Busted in less than 24 hours and deemed so blatant a lie that even ABC felt that they had to refute it.

Obama Goes Postal

Posted in Politics on August 12th, 2009

Pray all you want, Obama. Allah can't save you from your own hubris and stupidityYou got to give Barack Obama the credit that he is due; he may well be focus of the greatest existential threat to America and to Liberty in at least several generations, but he does possess the rare innate ability to drop gems of humor when he forgets to let the TOTUS decide what he should say in public, even a carefully controlled a scripted venue.

You’ve just got to laugh at this little blip of truth and humor; when I first read it, I thought it was from Biden:

I think private insurers should be able to compete. They do it all the time. I mean, if you think about, if you think about it, um, UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. Right? The, uh, no they are. I mean, it’s the post office that’s always having problems.

August 11, 2009, Portsmouth, NH Pseudo-Town Hall

Exactly, Mr. President! You’ve, quite unknowingly and unintentionally hit the nail on the head. UPS and FedEx are doing just fine while their government-ran competitor is failing and falling into chaos.

Americans do not want, and will fight tooth and nail against, spending literally trillions of dollars in order to “give” us a healthcare system that functions no better than the US Postal Service as compared to the private system that we Americans already have and are largely content with.

In any case though, in January, 2013, when President Obama becomes unemployed – don’t fret; he gets to keep his health insurance for life – he should really show the video of this blurb to his friend, Wanda Sykes. She might be able to get him a comedy special on one the cable networks. 😉
