Reflections From a Murky Pond

Your life choices matter, and the first major life choice people make largely for themselves is the choice between going to college or entering the workforce. It’s the choice than will financially decide their future more often than not. And, frankly, a lot of young people have been indoctrinated into making that choice without any real thought.

4-Year Degree vs. Skilled Trades

OK, to start with, this chart seems off to me in its details, though the premise is sound. The average debt accrued for a baccalaureate is $32,000 – $59,000, not $90,000. I also, if we’re going for numbers which are both more conservative and, IMHO, much closely matching “Blue Collar” salaries across the US, I’d set the starting salaries in the $12 – $18/hour range.

As I said though, the premise is still sound. Having earned $117,060 – $150,500 over 4 years is a lot better than having earned nothing and having accrued $32,000 – $59,000 that you will, presumably, have to repay at some point. The tradesman, after 4 years is $149,060 – $209,500 ahead of the college graduate in total earnings and on his or her to establishing a life.

And, BTW, that college graduate most likely won’t catch up anytime soon. The average salary for someone with a 4-year degree is $69,368 compared to the tradesman’s $64,770, but for an average of 20 years that graduate will be loosing on average $2,880/year in loan payments, bringing his or her effective income to $66,490, a meager $1720 more than the tradesman. That means it will take well over 50 years before the graduate “catches up” to the total earnings of the tradesman. This is literally more than the span of time – 40 – 50 years – most Americans work.

And remember, these numbers and predictions are based upon my believed-to-be-corrected and lowered numbers. If the chart is closer to being correct than I am, for either debt accrued or salaries, it’s even worse for the college graduate, who could be almost $315,000 in total earnings behind the tradesman.

Honestly, people need to make informed life choices instead of blindly following the government’s propaganda that has pushed getting a college degree as the primary and preferred, if not only, means of being successful since at least as far back as the early 1960s.

It should really come as no surprise to anyone in America when a Woke Appointee displays fundamental incompetence for the position they’ve been put forth for. When not be a Straight White Man is the primary criteria for their appointment, once has to expect that they’re lacking in actual merit. Still though, sometimes the Woke Appointee Fail is more egregious than other. Biden and Co.’s Black appointee to the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado is one of those more flagrant token appointees.

It’s pretty bad when an already sitting judge can’t answer the very basic question of what a Brady motion is when queried by the Senate.

Judge Kato Crews — who was nominated by President Joe Biden for the U.S. District Court of Colorado — failed to answer a question on the Brady motion, a basic legal concept.  

When pressed on the issue by Kennedy, Crews said that the term was “not coming to mind.” But that didn’t stop the judge from giving his best guess. 

“I believe that the Brady case involved something regarding the Second Amendment,” Crews responded. “I have not had an occasion to address that.”

Well, at the boy came up with something that had “Brady” in it. I mean, sure, the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993 is a far, far cry from the more basic modern legal tenet set forth by the SCOTUS in 1963 via their opinion on the landmark case of Brady v. Maryland (373 U.S. 83).

To be fair though, I adhere to the now racist belief that actually being qualified for the job is much more important than the color of one’s skin or who or what they have sex with.

#MAGA is beauty. This goes deeper and beyond the thought that #MAGA girls are beautiful. This is the fundamental truth that, for America, #MAGA is beauty itself, the very foundation of the concept thereof.

Rather simply put, at least for those of us that haven’t completely eschewed Latin: Amor Patriae Verum Pulchritudo. Omne Mendacium Est. Patriotism is beauty. All else is lies. A woman’s face and figure can count for much, but true beauty comes from the content of her character and her love of- and loyalty to her nation and her People.

Reject lies and liars in all matters. Seek true beauty and cleave unto them that possess it. #MAGA!

I freely admit that I’m no economist; voodoo is not my thing. Still though, certain key economic indicators can be seen and easily understood by laymen such as myself. And, while the indicators may look quite good, what they’re indicating is about as bad as it can get.

While it’s true that all attempts at macroeconomic theory are essentially voodoo, it takes on a whole different and more depraved tenor when Congress gets involves. And the Fed? The Gods alone know what arcane rituals they utilize, but I’d not be surprised if those rituals made them the #1 buyer of Planned Parenthood’s products. 🙄
