Reflections From a Murky Pond

President Obama spoke about religious extremism during an address at Thursday, February 5th morning’s National Prayer Breakfast. Of course, the misborn, worthless boy took advantage of his audience to draw a false equivalency between Christendom and Islam.

Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.

Frankly, it’s this jackanapes that needs to get off his high horse and quit acting as if he’s been granted the privilege of insulting the majority of Americans religious beliefs and intelligence.

Let’s break down the boy’s stupidity and perfidy:

History vs. News

There’s a world of difference between what happened hundreds of years ago and what is happening now. It’s worthless as other than pro-Muslim pseudo-apologetics for Obama to equate what was history to what is news and current events.

Crusades “Atrocities”

Let’s start with the fact that the accepted date range for the Crusades is 1095 AD – 1291 AD. During that time what was considered normal behavior in war is, by and large, considered an atrocity today. Hence, describing what happened during those 196 years on sporadic warfare as atrocities is to ignore than cultural mores of the times.

The Inquisition(s)

During the approximately 600 years in which the various Inquisitions took place, some 150,000 were put on trial and some 3000 of those were executed. The various Islamist groups exceed that death toll in any given month. No rationale person without a specific agenda can draw an equivalency between these two things.

Slavery and Jim Crow

Here, at least, Obama had just enough sense to allude to am equivalency through the use of softer language rather than to draw the equivalency overtly. That showed some wisdom sense Christianity was never truly used by any but a few to justify either slaver or Jim Crow laws. What was done was citing biblical references as a defense against the claims that slavery was Unchristian and a crime against their God.

Yeah, the only one up on a high horse is Obama. Of course, one has to expect this sort of chicanery from someone like Obama. He’s not a Christian and his theology, such as it is, is based upon Black Liberation Theology and his church of choice for two decades is and was closely allied with the Nation of Islam.

There’s also the sad but simple fact that Obama chose to identify as a Black and adopt large portions of their culture – a culture that largely predicated upon long dead and buried wrongs being at least as relevant as anything happening today.

Sadly, Obama will never get off his high horse by his own volition.  Americans are, instead, going to have to drag the boy off it and cast him into the mud and muck where he belongs.

Islam Means Peace! It Really Does!

Both etymologically and in common practice “Islam” means “Peace” and, hence both the Muslims and their Dhimmis are correct in saying that Islam is the religion of peace. Of course, it’s the same, exact sort of peace that the “House Negroes” aka “House Niggers” achieved between themselves and their masters – the peace of uncontested slavery.

Neither the peace of Islam nor peace with Islam is anything that any freeman should ever accept.

Here in the Civilized World we’re repeatedly inundated by calls to not offend the Muslims, especially not to openly mock their cult or their cult’s prophet. This normally reoccurs whenever the Muslims respond to being offended with savage violence such as their Charlie Hebdo massacre.

Offended Muslims

Let us for a moment set aside the cowardly basis for these apologetics and calls for censorship and focus upon the core idea of the Muslims’ offense at such things. After all, the Dhimmis and Oikophobes who demand that we show respect for Islam and not mock the cult, its prophet, or adherents do have a point. Doing so greatly and dramatically offends the Muslims and goads a significant number of them to violence.

Consider This:

If the Muslims are that offended by such mockery that they have to resort to violence and/or lawfare to assuage their outrage, they have no business living in the Civilized World with its freedoms and pluralism. Simply and bluntly put, the Muslims are unfit for the West just as the West is unfit for the Muslims.

Sometimes silence is golden; Duke University’s decision to retract permission for the Muslims, who make up a little less than 5% of Duke’s 15,000 students, use of the university’s Methodist chapel’s bell-tower to broadcast and amplify their adhān – call to prayer – is one of those times when silence is indeed golden.

A sane person would think that Duke University’s long-standing tolerance of allowing Muslims to use rooms inside their Christian chapel for prayer services would be enough pluralism, especially since Duke is and has always been a private, Methodist University. This is, of course in these degenerate times, not the case. Liberals and Progressives have shown their allegiance and rally with the ever-outraged Muslims to protest not being allowed to broadcast their adhān far and wide.

It’s ironic – or, it would be if these Leftists didn’t do this with such regularity – that these same Liberals and Progressives who are claiming this is religious bigotry are the ones who like to rant, rail, protest, and wage lawfare against any public or pseudo-public displays of the Christians’ faith. Even more so, is the absence of any protests by the Atheists such as the Freedom From Religion Foundation against the Muslims’ adhān being broadcast from church’s bell-tower.

This is hypocrisy at it’s “finest” since such a broadcast would inflict portions of Islam on far more people and in a far, far, far more intrusive and unavoidable manner than just about anything Christianity or other faiths have ever sought to do in the modern age.

As someone who lived and worked in MENA for years, I can and do tell you that nothing says the you’re in the Caliphate like hearing the adhān being screeched and wailed.

Yes, sometimes silence is golden and silencing the adhān is worth a imam’s weight in gold. Silencing those inside America’s borders who side with Muslims in this is, or would be, priceless. 😉
