Reflections From a Murky Pond

Britain’s ever-delightful and voluptuous Stacey Poole is showing us all that St. Patrick’s Day isn’t just an Irish holiday and that there’s a lot to be said in favor for rapprochement between the peoples of England and Ireland.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m not truly against Obama’s and the Liberals’ desire to use various social means to stop the spread of- and mitigate the damage caused by the Islamists and the many Muslims who support the goals, either actively or through tacit agreement.

How You Win Their Hearts and Minds

I’m a very firm and committed believer in targeting our Muslim enemies’ hearts and minds, both abroad and at home. 😉

The weather is still cold and quite vile. Where I’m at in NYC it’s hovering around freezing and cycling between snow, sleet, and rain.

This is sort of weather where and when you really need a hoodie if you’re going outside. Even better would be a down-filled hood since, as you can see, it gives more and far better and hotter options on how to wear it.

The people’s of the Civilized World have become used to seeing masked jihadis and terrorists. We’ve pretty much made the assumption that the Muslims’ wearing of masks was a practical effort to avoid direct reprisals and to instill greater fear in their victims.

What if we were wrong? What if they’re wearing those masks simply because they’re some butt-ugly, subhuman freakazoids?

Put The Mask Back On, Shakir!

C’mon! Take a gander at ISIS’ executioner, Shakir Wahiyib. It’s not just ugly, it’s not even completely human looking being closer in appearance to some offshoot of Homo neanderthalensis or Homo erectus than to Homo Sapiens, though it could be that Homo sapiens idaltu isn’t as extinct was as once thought.

Yeah, they really need to keep their masks on. The combination of their behavior and appearance might otherwise cause a resurgence in the study of phrenology. 😆

It seems that a Muslim prayer was recited – apparently in Arabic – at the start of the second day of the White House summit on “Countering Violent Extremism.” Sadly, the majority of the complaints about it were the circumstances around it, i.e., no other religion’s prayers were said, rather than the substance of the Muslim prayer.

That’s both sad and woefully ignorant because that prayer was essentially a jihadi prayer.

Oh, the imam of the Islamic Civil Society of America, Abdisalam Adam tried to play it off as otherwise when he translated and “explained” it to the press later.

Those verses of the Quran mean ‘Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption in the land, it’s as if he has slain mankind entirely, and whoever saves one life, it’s as if he has saved mankind entirely.

Mosques serve as (sic) beacon of hope. While imams’ provide moral compass for the Muslim community in navigating life.

But let first read the entirety of that particular Qur’anic verse to get a better understanding of what was meant by that prayer.

Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allah by committing the major sins) in the land!.

— Sura Al-Mā’idah 5:32

It reads and means a bit differently when one sees the whole verse, doesn’t it?

Then, in an effort to avoid “cherry picking” that totally distorts the context and meaning of the text, let us read the next eight verses from Al-Mā’idah:

[33] The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.

[34] Except for those who (having fled away and then) came back (as Muslims) with repentance before they fall into your power; in that case, know that Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[35] O you who believe! Do your duty to Allah and fear Him. Seek the means of approach to Him, and strive hard in His Cause as much as you can. So that you may be successful.

[36] Verily, those who disbelieve, if they had all that is in the earth, and as much again therewith to ransom themselves thereby from the torment on the Day of Resurrection, it would never be accepted of them, and theirs would be a painful torment.

[37] They will long to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out therefrom, and theirs will be a lasting torment.

[38] Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allah. And Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise.

[39] But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds (by obeying Allah), then verily, Allah will pardon him (accept his repentance). Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[40] Know you not that to Allah (Alone) belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! He punishes whom He wills and He forgives whom He wills. And Allah is Able to do all things.

It’s important to realize and understand that the fifth chapter of the Muslims’ Qur’an, Al-Mā’idah is one of the chapters that forms the basis for the Islamists’ jihad. Hence, this is an odd choice for a prayer to open the second day of what is titularly a summit to discuss and plan how to counter violent extremism.

Of course it might make perfect sense given this summit is made up of Obama and a bunch of Muslims. Perhaps the “violent extremism” they want to counter is Israel’s desire to continue to exist or Hobby Lobby’s desire not to have to pay for their employees’ contraception and abortions.
