President Obama has, despite the efforts of the MSM to keep things quiet, managed to rile up a strong and growing storm of condemnation over his usurpation of power and arguably illegal war in Libya.
Obama’s defense of his violation of US law and even the War Powers Act, which gives the POTUS certain limited leeway in using force without prior congressional approval, seems to center upon the war in Libya being a UN mandated action that is being conducted under the auspices of NATO.
The UN Made Me Do It. I was Only Following Orders
The only other possibility is that Obama is attempting the Whoopi Defense – It’s not war-war, much like it wasn’t rape-rape in the case of Roman Polanski drugging and rutting into an unconscious 13 year-old girl.
Insofar as I can see there are many roads to beauty despite what the fashion and weight-loss industries keep spewing. Yet, are all the possible roads equally valid and successful, or are some doomed to marginalization and fetishization?
A case in point – Muscular women as in women who have toned their bodies and built up significant amounts of muscle, much more than the typical “hardbody” or fitness model.
As one of my wives is fond of saying, “There’s no point in arguing matters of personal taste.” But what is society’s consensus opinion of these women’s beauty and sexiness and its foundation for that opinion?
Loading ...Will these women expand the concept of female beauty? Will they be considered freaks and unbiddable? Or will they be assigned a set of expected predilections and behaviors, much like women with numerous or prominent tattoos, and be relegated to fetish status?
One always has to remember that people aren’t ever responsible for their actions; if they’ve done something wrong or heinous it’s because they’re sick or “have a problem.”
Such people should never be held accountable for their actions; they need treatment an rehabilitation, not punishment or consequences.
“Treatment” Varies By Facility Of Course
That’s why actors and actresses; politicians and bureaucrats; and the rich and famous of any stripe go to rehab. For the everyone else who can’t afford such treatment programs there’s “home remedies.” 😉
