Liberalism is piecemeal socialism, and socialism always attacks three institutions: religion, family, and property. Religion, because it offers a rival authority to the State; family, because it means a rival loyalty to the State; property, because it means independence of the State.

Yay and verily, Halloween cometh, not Christmas! The fat man and his advertisements for the yearly shopping frenzy need to be kicked back into the hole of time where they still belong.
Sexy, spooky babes; sweet, sweet confectionery treats; and enough spirits to float your soul. That is Halloween, which cometh nigh.
So, Creepy Uncle Joe’s handlers and caretakers aka the Biden Administration is planning replenishing the Strategic Petroleum Reserve at a per barrel cost of just under $80. This comes just two years after Democrats blocked President Trump from topping up the petroleum reserve for approximately $24 per barrel, 30% of what Biden & Co. expected cost.
But then, this is and was to be expected. Democrats never cared how much damage they caused to Americans in their war against President Trump and we who supported him. Hence, all it took was a successful removal of him from office to reverse their “policy positions.“
I always thought of Demolition Man as dystopian action-comedy. Who knew that it was more prophecy than mindless entertainment? Then again – and oddly appropriately given his well-know proclivities – Oscar Wilde once wrote, “Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life.” So, perhaps I shouldn’t be too shocked that the Liberals and Progressives want to make this movie the basis for much of our future.
There’s actually more than a decent chance that, thanks to the climatard idiocy of California’s Leftist government, that this will be the EV showrooms of California’s near-term future. Even more so than the rest of the country, California’s electrical power grid is by and large unable to support it’s current use, much less that plus millions of electric vehicles.
During a late-summer heat wave California Gov. Gavin Newsom pleaded with residents to conserve energy use through easing back on air conditioning and refraining from charging electric vehicles during peak use times. And that was with the current fleet of EVs, which is only 10-20% of their stated goals.
Yeah, California looks to set for a dark future. 😆

Sadly, there’s an old sociopolitical aphorism, “As California Goes, so Goes the Nation.” In this case, if it holds true, that will be into a new Dark Age. 🙄
